- Hi everyone, just popping in to touch base and keep you updated. I picked up what I'm guessing is the flu recently. Many of my friends and family have all had the same thing so it was just a matter of time unfortunately. I seem to have turned a corner but haven't been in any condition to camp this week, despite my best efforts. I hope you all have a great rest of your Sunday and I will keep you updated!

Steve hasn't realized yet we're not tuning in just for the stealth camping. We're tuning in for your personality, Steve. Just show us cool places from around that beautiful country or any vlog style video, it doesn't have to be stealth and we'll be happy. Take care of your health, man!

I have to echo what others say here whenever Steve apologizes in advance for his videos. It’s not the locations or crazy camping contraptions that make this channel great, it’s Steve being his genuine self that makes it great. I don’t quite know what it is about you but you’re so crazily watchable. It’s like soothing background music that I often come back to when times are feeling busy and stressful. Often one of my kids will out of the blue say hey, let’s watch camping with Steve and you know what, it’s always a great idea

Yep, same here. I too had to call off a camping trip for the sake of my health. No soreness for me, but more phlegm than I've ever had before.

To be honest Steve I don't feel that you have to always stealth camp. I'd enjoy seeing you camp in a warm cabin or camper in a snowy spot cooking some nice meals for a couple of days. Feel better soon and Happy Christmas!

I think Steve should do a camping video at a friend/relative’s home during Christmas where he makes a shelter in a corner of their lounge and the family carry on with their own activities and ignore Steve and all we see are their feet walking about while Steve is talking to us pretending he’s on his own. 😂 Happy Christmas to all.

Im dual Canadian New Zealand citizen it would be cool to bring Steve to New Zealand to stealth camp under the Auckland Bridge, on Mount Ruapehu, on Kapiti Island and Somes Island, camp around Porirua and the Paremata Roundabout, on the ferry, in an earthquake damaged building in Christchurch, or maybe he already camped in all these places we just didn’t see him 🤔

I can't speak for others, but personally, I'm here to watch you Steve, and listen to your point of view on life, don't stress about stealth camping, when you find a spot you'll find it, in the meantime what ever content you produce will have my attention. The stealth camping is what caught my attention, but your personality is what's keeping me here.

Steve, i just found your channel last night. First video was the roundabout and it was so very relatable for me as i slept in a bush just off of the main road in my town for two weeks. Last night i went to sleep watching your DIY 5 day raft ride. When i woke up it was on the donations bin stealth camping video.
I am actually a local resident of yarmouth county who was homeless over the summer, i slept outside a good few nights but last summer was WET.😅
Your so respectful about the way you do things i just want you to know that your videos are a warm inspiration and make me feel better about having to sleep rough. I always clean up my site wherever i go.

Absolutely don't worry about outdoing yourself. We're here cuz we find you entertaining whether you're in a roundabout or car camping in a campground. Don't be afraid to repeat themes. Your adventures don't have to be novel every time. Every highway sign you camp behind will have its own challenges and adventures. If your stealth camp is exciting for you, it's exciting for us. Ultimately we just want to be along for the ride. If you're hidden somewhere in plain sight, doesn't matter if you've been in a place like it before. We know you're always trying to up your game. It's ok to pick the low hanging fruit more than once.

Has there been an update on a different platform? Mouse Droppings (and urine) can cause Hantavirus. I know it’s rare in his neck of the woods, but that cabin was probably held together with mouse feces. I’m hoping Steve is just taking a little time off, and there is nothing to worry about.
I second every person who says I’ll watch literally wherever you camp, stealth or not. Feel better soon! I’d love to see you do another travel trip (like you did with the train and Crazy Neighbor or Mav and the fishing trip) or you and Garbage hunkering down for a meditative stay in the treehouse for some days or an Everglades Chickee, Houseboat in the Keys, etc. We’re all here for you, not the golden roundabout goose egg.

Well, I'm in a similar flu-ridden situation here in Germany. First my grandparents last weekend, for which my sister and I had to do some shopping over the week. Then she started showing flu symptoms on Wednesday, finally me since Friday. At least my grand parents seem to be over it now and everyone seems to be getting it out of the way before xmas.
A hearty "Get well soon!" to everyone fighting something similar, while the rest will hopefully stay healthy!

My heart will always go out to Steve as he continues his life’s journey during hard times and holidays. I've been personally enjoying the videos where you go out to free use cabins and stay. I wouldn't mind some more of those. Not really a stealth camp, but they are really cool to see the stuff people left and what not. Enjoying the content, get well soon.
