If there's one thing I learned from Steve is to be happy with the little things in life. Can't see the little stealth camp from street? Happiness. Cook a nice meal out in the open? Happiness. Get a ride to a camping spot and getting picked up after? Happiness. Light rain only? Happiness. As Steve would say: Doesn't get better than this!
    Love it.

I recently drove from Florida to Greenville, South Carolina to visit a friend. While sitting around the fire with her 60 yro neighbor I'd never met, the subject of favorite RUclips channels came up. Camping with Steve was a common thread - we all love it. Steve's appeal is universal.

You're the big grown-up kid we all want to be, just out there enjoying the simple things and creating an infectious environment of kindness and connection in your comments section / community following. Your videos have gotten me through some really dark times in my life, so I'm grateful even just to see you at all.

@@dakotaellis9978 Absolutely, I don't even see it as a full fledged camping channel, it's more like a way for us to hang out with Steve every week - It just so happens we hang out at campsites (Or sometimes in shrubs and bushes, wrapped in trashbags, during a thunderstorm).
Between him and his English equivalent Kent Survival, it's just endlessly peaceful. genuinely feels like you're just off with your friend - I just wish the videos were longer. I'd happily sit and watch a 30-40 minute video here.
Also it would be awesome to see Steve and KS do a collab, but I do fear the serenity may achieve ultimate enlightenment and Steve will transcend us all.

It's very much like your channel, Steve, in that many of us do something similar because we've been inspired by you, but none of us come out with exactly the same thing in the end. A lot of the spray which you just spray on yourself just goes in the air. You can reuse the sheet wipes until they either get dirty or fall apart.

Back in the 80s my elementary school was next door to a McDonalds, with woods behind both. We'd play in those woods behind both all the time. Thanks for bringing back some memories Steve!

I was recently driving from Texas to Kansas and drove past several closed weigh stations. My first thought? This would be a great stealth camping site. Steve would approve. Thanks for sharing fun videos!!!

Please come and do a UK stealth series over the winter Steve! It's too cold to do it in Canada and you'll be able to find a whole new level of randomness over here!

Try the desert in the South West. Our Colorado desert is so warm and sunny many Canadians called "Snowbirds" come south for the winter. They tend to stay in trailer parks and such.
Most of the State of Nevada is Federal land. Most of that is Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service. Most of that is open to "Dispersed" Camping. That means it is legal to Stealth camp. You can do it openly or hide for added excitement. I believe those lands compare to "Crown Lands."

@@jameshudkins2210 Even the southwest can be relatively cold, although nowhere near as cold as anywhere in Canada.
I did a big six week winter camping trip in the southwest, sleeping almost solely in my truck. Even in December, a relatively "warm" winter month, the temperatures at night were below freezing every single night in New Mexico, even when I was camping way far south along the US-Mexico border. The elevation really gets ya. Southeast Arizona, even along the southern border, is still quite elevated and cold (freezing every night). The weather in southwest Arizona, much lower in elevation, is absolutely beautiful in winter.
As for more northerly destinations in both those states, I had some COLD nights. The lowest I slept in that trip was -10 F while sleeping at about 11k feet outside of Las Vegas, NM. So, in total, most of the desert southwest is not as warm in the winter as people may think, mostly due to the elevation.

Agreed and Agreed. I was so cold in Barstow during a winter night.
The Snow Birds do best in lower elevation as well as further south. One of the most famous is the Slabs near the Salton Sea in Southern California. It is just about Sea Level. The Imperial Valley and near the lower Colorado River can be OK in Winter. @@TheHamburgler123

“What a time to be alive!” while sitting in the bushes above a McDonalds drive-thru. LMAO. Newcomer here and already hooked. This reminds me of sneaking out of the house to hang with friends during my 8th grade summer.
