- Just a regular camping trip with Beautiful Wife in the southern Alberta badlands. We got a campsite at Writing On Stone Provincial Park, which is the site of the largest concentration of stone art petroglyphs in North America. One of the last winter camping trips for this year.

He'll be cold even above zero. Well, he is glamping, after all.
BeautifulWife: I’m not taking you anywhere nice until you clean up a little
Steve: Somewhere nice?!? Yes Dear
I like it. Looked like a Marine cut.
Presentable 👍
I have a theory, that there is actually 2 Steve's Think multiplicity 1996 with Michael Keaton, but instead with Steve's!.
Rest in Peace Beautiful Wife. Watching these old videos again in remembrance. Hang in there, Steve. We're grieving with you.
😢I still can’t get over her passing so quick. Just heard of another today?? I couldn’t believe it. 😇💖🙏🇬🇧
I'm watching the old ones too. I like your comment.
Every mention of her makes me want to hug Steve and just hope he can keep on. Please Steve... never get rid of these old vids... take the mentions of her to heart and remember fondly. All love and respect
I had now idea your wife passed, so sorry
Steve, just an idea, make a recipe book of some of your (and Beautiful Wife’s) favorite recipes and put the proceeds to a charity or cause that she felt passionately about!
My wife and I are 71 and 82 respectively, in our younger days we camped nearly every weekend in Eastern Oregon. We played music all over that area. We stealth camped in a van that I built into a camper with folding sofa/bed. We once traveled thru Canada from glacier Park to Vancouver Island camping all the way in an International travel all. Now that we are to old and decrepit we just camp vicariously with you. Thanks for including us. Robert (Smitty) Smith and my beautiful wife Nancy.
Oregon coast here!
Greetings from England Robert may you and Nancy vicariously camp for many more years to come .
There’s nothing mediocre about your channel Steve, it’s one of the best in my opinion!

Love how you add one single marshmallow as the final touch to the hot chocolate, then a few more, and then start dumping the whole bag. 😂😂 I can relate.
Steve,I’m so sorry about your wife. I tow lost my husband in February this year to cancer. We loved to tent camp and then started buying campers. Our last trip was in 2019 to visit family in Washington. Just remember, like me ,they are not gone as long as they are still in our hearts❤️
Hello. From. Marysville. Washington. Hope. All is. Well
Hi, Debra.
So Sorry For Your Loss!! 😢😢
Hello Steve and beautiful wife watching from Austin TX . I would like to thank u your videos brought me happiness during this cancer journey this past year. I finished my treatment this week I'm in full remission.
Glad you're hanging in there my friend

Happy to hear that!
You're the Bob Ross of camping.

Excellent Steve can't wait to check that place out. I read where Dinosaur Provincial Park has rattle snakes and scorpions 🦂...be wearing my Waist high Gene Simmons leather boots .
Foresty Forest he lives in a van.....
Ah I see foresty forest is also a man of culture
The stuff falling out of the back when he lifts the hatch- makes it all real. That’s cool.
he says the phone still works but if the change things broken out will it dial a number without coins hmm that is the real question
His camping uploads just never get boring. It calms me and it’s simply satisfying to watch him at times where people can’t travel as much as they used to do. He’s simple. No attention screaming, no drama, no weird noises just someone sharing his camping experiences. I just simply love it. Hope there’s coming more
Ahh ahah ahh HEY RUclips THIS IS STEVE COMIN ATCHU STAY TUNED FOR WHAT COMES NEXT YOULL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT I FIND WHY AM I YELLING?? WHAT? MICROPHONES AMPLIFY HUH? *quick cut*

I'm sorry for your loss, I'm glad you still have those memories and that you truly did make it until death to part ways.
I'm so sorry for the loss of your wife.
Sorry for your loss sir. Time with loved ones is worth more than anything.
Sorry for your loss but happy you have many good memories to look back on.🙏
You should go camping again sometime!! Just to never forget your roots.
Steve, you really hoped me with my depression. You showed me how one man can make a huge difference and I can't thank you enough for doing so. Please don't ever stop being you.
I agree ,Steve just has that effect on people..
A normal guy enjoying his camping with a dash of danger ..love it too 👍😁
Steve! Don't refer to your show as "mediocre". You are quite original.
The internet is mediocre; Steve is The Boss!
Please don't ever collab with Ken Domik, who steals others ideas.
And using different camping gear for different situations is very helpful. From casual camping to serious backpacking in stealth mode your info gives good lessons, as well as charm!

One thing about the cabins is that there are many people who are dealing with physical challenges or the elderly and it's nice to have an opportunity to be in nature areas.
that or they may have a sun disorder where the sun tries to kill them and the cabins protect them from the killer sun and yes there is a disease where you can be allergic to the sun it's not vampirism but a real disease so yeah

No way this is a mediocre channel! It´s my best find in 2022, i have been bingewatching all these videos when i actually should be studying!
"Not every trip has to be some super extreme thing." That quote says so much. While we love the stealth campers and stuff like that. I am sure I speak for many of us when I say, not every video has to be dangerous. These are good too.
I agree! Sometimes it's nice to watch or experience a relaxing camptrip and take in the beautiful surroundings. A different kind of watching experience, I enjoy both as well ^_^

The first camping meal I seen steve cook was when he was camping in he ice hut when he was doing his schooling, he made a can of chili, a bag of Frito lays and some cheese, poured the chili in the bag of Frito lays and some cheese on top! I can vouch for him that its a good camping snack / meal
Not only does the "big sandwich" look very tasty, the presentation could certainly be changed up a little, so you could serve that meal in very many different environments. The ingenuity is what draws me to your videos (¬ just regarding the food).

What a welcome sight and sound. Brings back memories!
They took them away so we would have to buy cell phone monitoring systems.

@@Metoo1111 yeah we're basically taught that anything outside of our borders doesn't exist....... LOL. Every time Steve makes a meal while camping, I end up making it at home a few days later. Nachos sound so good right now!!
Damn! Your right, never eat in the morning like it is right now but was just putting together the list to make them nachos. RIGHT NOW.
Although I'm not a Canadian, I sincerely do extend my thanks to you for picking up after the slobs that preceeded you to the campsite. How hard is it to take care of ones' own trash and garbage? Unfortunately I have seen many examples of "spreading out nature" that you commented on. You start off with a pristine environment but with difficult access. Said environment is charming and spotless. Then the government, private groups, organizations, ad nauseam, opt to make access easier so that more citizens can enjoy the sights and experience the environment. Now that it's easy for anyone and everyone to make use of the site, trash, garbage, used diapers and condoms, empty liquor and spirits bottles, killed local fauna and flora, all seem to magically appear and reproduce at phenomenal rates. My unsolicited opinion and comment is to leave things alone and keep it difficult to access. Or perhaps even make it more difficult to access. I believe that most reading this will see and understand my motivation.

@@HappyMinds1 Thank you. I completely agree. I first saw Steve’s boondocking video 7 years ago and I got hooked. It’s nice to see a variety of his videos, while he remains respectful to the nature and humble in his adventures. I live in London UK, and just like you in an apartment. My only green space is a little patio garden that keeps me sane during the pandemic. I also like to escape the city at every opportunity and I often go hiking and camping in Scottish Highlands. I’ve also been to Canada (BC) and I can’t wait to go back once we get through COVID. Stay strong I guess, and we’ll come out on the other side. Long live Steve, Beautiful Wife and the cool dude that’s Crazy Neighbour.
@@oinkooink I completely respect your views but I don’t underestimate the seriousness of this virus, due to the fact that I lost perfectly healthy friends and colleagues to it. I don’t find it too difficult to wear a mask, as I know that COVID affects some people more than others. Being a pacifist, I wouldn’t be able to live with the guilt of causing harm to someone else through avoidable error on my part. If a nurse or a doctor can wear a mask for 12 hours a day, I think I can muster couple of hours. Nevertheless, I still completely respect your views and I understand the impact of lockdowns on all of us, both economic and health related. I just hope that you don’t get angry with me for disagreeing. Look at it this way, we differ in our opinion of masks but we both love Steve’s cool videos and adventures. I raise my glass of step 2 to you. Peace and love 👍
@@samir-hasanagic8981 The COVID virus is real, its also an overblown hysteria by politicians on the left and the media for political reasons. The elderly with compromised immune systems and preexisting conditions primarily suffer severe cases. Some patients require hospital care and a small percentage of those die mainly due to underlying conditions, obesity and weekend immune systems. No different than the seasonal flu prior to COVID.
While any death is a tragedy it's up to each individual to decide the precations they take, not a tyrannical Democrat government taking our constitutional rights and freedoms away from us. Masks mandates and lockdowns cause more mental anguish and financial ruin than the illness.
Don’t be afraid of COVID. Don’t let it dominate your life.
@@johnr8439 It was not my intention to turn this into political debate, and I really don’t want to sully Steve’s channel with protracting this convo. COVID does not only affect people with underlying issues, and figures that suggest no increase in deaths are deliberately skewed by cowardly politicians on the right. I prefer to get my facts from trusted sources, and I don’t see wearing a mask for 15 minutes while in the shop, as taking away my freedom. I only see screaming Karens who play victims and smear excrement on the walls of Capitol. I don’t live in the US, but from where I stand, the only tyrannical behaviour came from the right wing and their promotion of violence, racism, supremacy and hatred. While I don’t say that Dems are perfect, I’d choose them any time over Republicans. What the rest of the world has seen on January 6, was gun totting mob trying to destroy what US should stand for (freedom and equality). Republicans on the other hand sold their souls to the orange racist, and failed to approve the bill that would help thousands of hungry Americans. I take COVID seriously and it does not control my life. I choose to wear mask, because it stops the spread of virus. Countries like New Zealand have taken correct steps and we should learn from them. Please don’t take this the wrong way, but I really don’t want to continue with this on Steve’s channel, and I’d like us all to enjoy his videos without the unnecessary sweeping statements.
You have the driest humor I’ve ever seen and I love it! Really appreciate the step-by-step presentation you offer. Thank you.

The fake 'oh boy' when the pre-planned luggage fallout happens is solid gold. 😂😂😂
Hello Steve, I have fond memories of that place as a child too, family gatherings. I really appreciate the reminiscence therapy and well timed. As this is the first place I ever seen a wild rattlesnake, any later in the season and they may have been prolific. Good reasoning for cowboy boots. The people are not just honest in Southern Alberta but friendly too. When growing up, it was common for on-coming traffic to wave as they passed by. The National parks were the only ones to have fees or facilities in those days, day or annual pass. Last time I seen Waterton Lakes National Park, I was horrified how they destroyed some of the areas I was familiar with, for the sake of tourism. Maybe we grew up in a time forgotten and less convenient but where fewer laws restricted or imposed on basic, simple human rights & freedoms, Thanks.
