Dude that was what got me hooked, the sneakyness, the element of danger and getting caught, the calm peaceful real videography, none of that high energy bullcrap. Steve is the Bob Ross of stealth camping
When I was a kid in the mid to late 70s, every Sunday, my family would go over to my aunt's house, and we would bbq and basically have family time with our cousins, and then as it got later, we sat around and watched the Wonderful World of Disney and every so often we would watch Mutal of Omaha's Wild Kingdom with Marlon Perkins too right after that. I mention all this because when I think of that time, it gives me a nice warmth and a feeling of home and nostalgia, I suppose, and strangely enough for me, watching these videos of Steve camping gives me the same feeling.
I think this might be one of my favorite "non- tent" camping shelters. Just enough privacy and cover to feel a little shielded, but not so much that you are cut off from nature. A perfectly relaxing video!
Found your channel a few weeks ago and we're totally loving camping vicariously through you. Love watching your campfire cooking as well. Keep up the great work Steve 👏

I just got back from a boondock at Abraham Lake area, saw a black bear & grizzly on the highway just outside the park. Spooked me enough to remember a tip Steve gave one time - cook smelly dinner somewhere else. Removed seats from my car, built a sleeping & cargo deck - had lots of storage, comfortable enough as Steve advises, car was in a state where I just needed to slide into the driver's seat and scoot fast if needed. Luckily it was quiet and absolutely beautiful. I got inspired for the adventure from these videos, and had a great time. Thanks Steve !

Hey Steve has anyone told you about omelets in a zip lock bag? Been doin it for years, you just put whatever you want in a zip lock then shake it up and put it in a pot of boiling water till the eggs are cooked then open it up and dump it out onto a plate it should be all in one piece like an omelet then I usually put some salsa or hot sauce on it! Thanks Steve for bringing us along on your fantastic campouts.. this one really brought back memories of me in my early thirties camping with my three young kids.. usually 5 to 7 Day tent campouts in the state forest in Northern Connecticut.. started camping the year I got separated from my ex-wife my two boys were three and four years old and my daughter was six and we camped every year 5-7 day campouts all the way up until they were in their late teens ... I'm going to be 65 soon and I can no longer sleep on the ground with my weary bones in arthritis.. but I will be retiring soon and purchasing a small 18 ft pull along camper.. and exploring the United States and maybe Canada.. as long as my health holds up.. thank you again and you are always in my prayers 🙏
I second the comments on your upped production value, Steve-I can definitely tell the extra work you’re putting in is a labor of love. It’s always a nice fun time to get outside, and it’s a plus to be playing around in it. I noticed that you linked a gear list on your channel homepage-it’s awesome to see you work wonders with what you have. Keep it up 👍
The pouches are usually used for sand if you have the shelter on the beach and it helps weigh it down in the wind. You could use gravel or rocks in your situation 🙂
Just brilliant. Was laughing all the way through it. Thank you Steve. You're such a funny, natural, genuine down to earth guy. Already can't wait for next week. Stay safe 🙂🙂
Yes, I came across one of your videos about one in the morning after work one night. I have to say, I was hooked from the first video. So sorry to hear about your wife. I love the outdoors, we usually take the quads or side by side camping. I just love your laid back personality and great content. I've been watching them all as I find them. Thanks Steve and keep those videos coming.
Even at a legal campsite, Steve is still paranoid about looking like he's supposed to be there, stealth camping is giving him PTSD lol Love your videos 🍻

Hi Steve I've only started watching you're video. They are brilliant stuff & so cool, cooking by the fire looks awesome & I love the umbrella.. I also loved you're old school bus, you could give it a bit of a revamp on the outside.. Like change it like a hippy bus. So cool that would look....take care my friend !!!
I’m going to Canadian tire Wednesday to get one of these! Me and my girlfriend stealth camp a LOT around town, and this will be a great addition for the never ending rain of Atlantic Canada
Hi Steve, My thoughts and prayers are with you. We miss you but understand that you need to take time to heal from your loss. I love the beach umbrella idea, I think I may get one, they are versatile and should be in your car all the time. Take care of yourself.
Get one of those in some shade of green, throw on it the camo netting and maybe in a densely green area could work as a stealthy wall to camp behind 🤔.
Oh yeah, cottage cheese and potatoes pierogis with a dollop of sour cream is how we eat it here in Poland! Let me bestow upon you the honorary title of "Pole-like pierogi eater", Steve :D
I actually like that umbrella tent. Get two and cable tie the posts together and you pretty much have a full tent. It folds up nicely and expands nicely. Get two (or three.)

The “storage pouches” are really pouches to fill with sand on a beach to hold down the umbrella. Love your videos as always.

It’s always a nice fun time to get outside, and it’s a plus to be playing around in it. I noticed that you linked a gear list on your channel homepage-it’s awesome to see you work wonders with what you have. Keep it up 👍
leave on our beachs too. I think my wife loves your videos more than I do. Should I be worried?
Love how you can tell Steve was in a silly goofy mood when he made this, love all the little jokes lmao
“Fresh as a biscuit and ready to gallop through the day”
I love Steve 😂😂
I think we're all hoping this summer brings another raft trip with Crazy Neighbor!
Please please please! We need another 5 day boat video
The pouches are usually used for sand if you have the shelter on the beach and it helps weigh it down in the wind. You could use gravel or rocks in your situation 🙂
He mentioned that idea even though he had no idea if that was what they were for. Lol
@@krs48 👍
“Umbrella ella”. I love it.
Just brilliant. Was laughing all the way through it. Thank you Steve. You're such a funny, natural, genuine down to earth guy. Already can't wait for next week. Stay safe 🙂🙂
Nothing like watching camping with Steve while camping myself. Cheers brother.
Simply adore Steve.
It's very cool to see an ordinary dude being a great guy. Stay true to you, Steve! 💛 From Austin, TX
I'm in TX too! Just found out about Steve, he's awesome!
13:32 “I know… I can’t be the only person that’s thinking: two of these would make a full tent”
Classic!!!
This is the first time I think Steve was able to read most of his viewers minds lol.
Yes, or space 2 far apart with a long tarp connecting the roofline like his infamous double SUV tent :)
Nothing like waking up from a nap and seeing Steve post... Cheers everyone
Yeah. I was getting PTSD Vibes and little bit of frustration vibes
i think everyone is unwinding after the last couple years
You, sir, are going to be at 1M subs soon. Crazy. When I first found you I thought you were nuts, in a good way lol. Who knew a million people thought the same 😄
Hi Steve I've only started watching you're video. They are brilliant stuff & so cool, cooking by the fire looks awesome & I love the umbrella.. I also loved you're old school bus, you could give it a bit of a revamp on the outside.. Like change it like a hippy bus. So cool that would look....take care my friend !!!
Favorite Dutch beer, good old grolsch! Wise decision man, much respect 💪🏻
I’m going to Canadian tire Wednesday to get one of these! Me and my girlfriend stealth camp a LOT around town, and this will be a great addition for the never ending rain of Atlantic Canada
I saw a Canadian Tire truck on the Massachusetts Turnpike just last year. I couldn’t believe it.
Hi Steve, My thoughts and prayers are with you. We miss you but understand that you need to take time to heal from your loss. I love the beach umbrella idea, I think I may get one, they are versatile and should be in your car all the time. Take care of yourself.
I love that umbrella. Such a great overnight camping trip.
I know my kid would love something like that for the back yard!
Hello Steve it's always a pleasure thank you for your entertainment
Also first 🥇
A fun experimental adventure. A good RUclips recommendation to go with your latest bike trailer!
Thanks for watching and the super. Cheers
Metal stakes, glass bottle for a hammer. What could go wrong ? I love it. You da man Steve.
I actually like that umbrella tent. Get two and cable tie the posts together and you pretty much have a full tent. It folds up nicely and expands nicely. Get two (or three.)
Always nice to see you Steve. Thanks for the update on the RAILWAY. I can't wait to see it when u get it up an rolling.. always enjoy your videos stealth or not. You are a peaceful man an Everytime I watch your videos it relaxes me.thanks Steve for being you.👏👍😁🇺🇸🍺⛱️🏖️🏞️
Getting notification about new camping with Steve episode, prepping dinner of cottage cheese and potato pierogi with some fried bacon bits and sour cream and after starting an episode.. Well well, I see Steve knows how to make his pierogi like a real Polish person 😅👌
This is a great idea. You can also put a mosquito net in front, better than a tent.
“If I expect to eat tonight I’ll have to gather some firewood.. from my car” I swear Steve has the best jokes, I always end up laughing each video
YOU NEVER FAIL TO SUPRISE ME. THANK YAW STEVE
Hey Canadian Tire, please sponsor this man! I wouldn’t even know about your store if it weren’t for Steve!
I really enjoy thursdays because a Camping with Steve video releases :) Have a great week and Cheers :)
