I love your comment when you were cleaning the hood filters about maintaining. The first time I did zone cleaning it took me forever because everything was so dirty! I was cleaning things that I hadn’t cleaned in a long time, (or ever!) and it was overwhelming. Now I find that I’m cleaning things that really aren’t that dirty, but like you said it’s the maintaining! That was a huge lightbulb moment for me with zone cleaning.
Yes, maintenance cleaning is SO much better than having to clean something super dirty. My lightbulb moment with this was the toilet swish and swipe! 🤣❤️
Thanks for the zone cleaning motivation! I also like the reassurance that only two days a week is good enough! I don’t have to be a “slave” to four days every week!!! 💕
Yes! Being able to get to it 4 days a week is great, but sometimes it just just doesn’t happen , and that’s okay. 💕
So smart to have the kids do the same thing in their rooms too! How fortunate they are that their Mama is teaching them valuable life skills!

I like to use a sticky roller with my swiffer. Just roll the swiffer clean.
Enjoyed your video! I read the Flylady’s book many years ago & have followed some of her suggestions off & on. The zone cleaning has always been my hang up. It just seemed confusing & overwhelming. Your video was helpful! New subscriber here🙂
If you run out of degreaser, use laundry detergent diluted with hot water, and soak in the sink for at least an hour or two. Afterwards, rinse and then you can wash again in the dishwasher, if you feel it is necessary.

I love this video. One thing I like about Zone cleaning is that I never have to wonder odr-1 was the last time I cleansed something? When you maintain things regularly you know that nothing he's going to get really bad.

I appreciated the swiffer tip too. I strive to use reusable items but if they’re not doing the job as efficiently and I have to also clean the tools I realize it is defeating my work.
Hydro peroxide Helps to remove the dust off the blinders ( wood) . I used water and my blinds always look the same. Like I never touched them. Yet I go thru the motion.

Each Zone gets cleaned once a month. You can spend about 15 mins a day or 1 hour a week in whatever zone you are working in for the week.

Just found you and subscribed. I’m a fly baby and enjoy seeing how others clean. I enjoy your voice over explanation, but your music comes in pretty loud in comparison to your voice. I listen a lot with headphones and had to adjust quickly for the difference.

The cleaner you use looks like a clay stone, you can make it yourself with cheap ingredients : (white) clay, bicarbonate powder, liquid soap +/- essential oils. I have yet to try it but I will !

In the past haven't you used an ostrich feather duster? Do you still use it?
No, I haven’t ever used an ostrich feather duster. I used to use a Blue Microfiber duster from Mr Clean. I still use it sometimes, but have been favoring the swiffer here lately.

I haven’t ever used the Norwex paste.
I have the Norwex paste, and it’s good. I really do like the scrub daddy, but haven’t used the other products yet. Will have to look for them.
