We are good about putting things away most days. A habit I created years ago helps me put away all the things left out. I do a evening walk-thru from the front door thru every room to scan the room and find those little things that I can quickly put away. It’s part of my before bed routine.
@@whitneypea I have those “too tired” days too. I typically do a morning reset and a nightly reset. But, it’s not a big deal if I skip it. There’ll just be a little more to do. I’ve made a habit of placing things in a certain spot when they need to be put away in another room. Then, I don’t have to look around the room - I can gather those items and put them away. A kitchen counter by the doorway. A spot on the dresser near the door. The arm of the loveseat.
Just when I think I don't need to declutter, I watch this and get the motivation to find more to do away with. My house feels so clean after a good declutter. 😌
Hey Witney, I love seeing these marathon videos all the time! I can't get over all the before & after shots of the cleanings! I actually am in the process of drying 4 loads of laundry because I want to get them all folded and put away before I leave the house with my boyfriend today. I can't wait to see more videos every week because I love getting the motivation!! ❤❤❤
😊 the Problem with the unknown Cords can easy be solved if you get used to print a small and long lable ( f.e. with the dynamo Labelprinter) with the name of the electronic and the year of purchase or the name of the owner in it. Put this lable like a flag round the cord next to the usb and you will forever know which electronic it is for.
One thing you can do with your clothes when decluttering is to have a maybe bag and if you haven't reached for any of those items in 6 months or so then you can get rid of it.
My biggest thing that I have been having an issue with decluttering is having my husband help and actually take away the big things that we need to trash or donate. We have some things in our garage that I want to get rid of and I need him to do it, and it is not a priority to him
Do you have neighbors who could help? You could also hire some college age kids off Facebook marketplace. If your husband doesn’t like it, you tell him you asked him already but he wasn’t ready when you were, and you just wanted this project done and off your mind.
@@ArleyBabcock That is not a bad idea... Some of it though needs to go to the dump and I think my husband said we need to pay to dump some things. I might have to ask him again to fully understand, so I understand that delay, but I just want to get our house to a more manageable level. We have lived here for 3 years now and this was the house where we merged our lives fully.
You could also call your garbage company and see if they do bulk trash pick up! I know with mine, we get one free one a year but they’ll come grab everything for you and haul it away
