Thank you so much, gents for the comprehensive tuning demonstration. I don't think I've ever felt more inadequate about my tuning and bow prep 😂. The good news is, I have time before deer and elk season to dial in. Keep up the fantastic work!

I know several pro target archers that go through these tuning methods. After you torque tune and group tune it would be interesting to see what your bare shafts do at 50 yards and then compare with broadheads also at 50 yards. ABT!

After having a bear of a time with consistency on fixed blades I finally tried moving my sight in about 1” and it almost instantly eliminated the 6” left abs rights at 40 yards between my fixed blade head and field point if I wasn’t perfect on my grip. I just wish I had tried in sooner.

Great video Dan and Nick. I have been really wanting a good step by step tuning video for setting up a bow. Bow hunters need forgiveness built into their bows due to all the elements. Torque tuning, creep tuning and group/line tuning are the main ones. Please keep these coming!!

I just came in from testing this with my P4 with a Hamskea Epsilon and an HHA RYZ. Shot three arrows, one not torqued, one torqued left and one torqued right. The torqued arrows went opposite of the torque so I moved my HHA short bar in one detent and repeated the same three arrow process. Boom! Arrows all came to the center! CRAZY SHIT Nicholas and Daniel!! Awesome content guys!

Agreed 100% on the nock fit and factory center servings. I love the IP nock but for standard gas strings wish it was a tiny bit bigger like the gold tip nocks.

Be forewarned, bare shaft tuning will reveal every little form issue, so if you're not consistent you'll be chasing your tune forever. Like Dan always says, all these little details are great, have fun tinkering, but if you're going to spend your time on anything spend it on form first.

I love to go to a shop for a person that is knowledgeable. And will take the time to set you up correct shops around where I live. It's put a peep loop shoot by and I have to do the tuning and everything myself and no one is. It's experienced enough where I'm at to offer the kind of expertise like this man or MFJJ. There's no one right way? As long as it's correct and it's right for the person shooting the bow.

  • @bbmas1930

What I'd be interested to know is did you torque tune with the sight because the rest was riser mounted and you didn't have the ability to even go there with the rest? I've seen Paige Pearce do it with only the rest because she didn't want to mess with having to change peep diameter, clarifiers etc. after moving the sight. So is one (sight vs rest) better than the other or does it really come down to the constraints of the bow/shooter? Me, my right eye is pretty bad and anything less than a 3/16ths peep is just a giant blur, so I cant move my sight further forward, so its moving the rest for me.

Has anyone has issues switching from zebra strings on Mathews bows? It's time for a new string on my Atlas. I've got a 33 inch draw and I'm worried I'll have to charge mods if custom string doesn't sit same on cams and everything. Anyone have experience with this?

i Need Help with a decision i need to make. i have a bowtech sr6. i installed a vapor trail gen 7x rest on it. but the flex guard dampener is conflicting with the capture ring of the rest. i dont want to modify the capture ring nor do i want to remove it altogether. my question is, and hopefully people can confirm this. but can i just run my bow without the flexguard dampener? or will it be unsafe? i dont care if i feel more vibration in the hand. i can live with that if that means i can get this rest to fit and tune perfectly on my bow. thanks ElkShape Crew and anyone else who chimes in on my request for help

@@ElkShape Thank you, Dan, for responding. I figured you switched tophats. I was more referring to the strategy. You hadn't shot thru paper yet, but looked at the cam lean and said "hmm we should swap the top hats". was the goal to get cams straight up and down at brace? Or a certain lean toward or away from the riser? TIA
