I was glad to hear Nick say he thinks FOC matters. I also believe it matters. Not extreme FOC but I run 17.6% in my arrows and They perform GREAT..!!

I know it is a limited group that appreciate this over the top super ABT stuff but I am one that does!! I watched this, tested this with in the previous video with my P4 and it WORKS! I also geeked out and got super picky with how my electrical tape is applied to my bare shaft after today's testing. If I just wrapped 20 +/- grains of tape on the shaft where the vanes normally are I ended up with a lip that gave my a pretty sold lip and a bad paper tear along with inconsistent bare shaft flight. I honestly feel that front leading edge of tape was catching air in flight. I was testing this this with my bare shaft at 50 yards. I tried a couple configurations and found if I taped the end of the shaft more like a bullet point it flew just phenomenal. The leading edge was a single wrap and each additional rotation of tape got thicker, with the thickest part being 2/3's of the way back and the tapering down. Dead center X at 50 yards with a bare shaft! Keep doing what you are doing Dan! This technical stuff never gets old. There are way too may intelligent people out there like Nick that need to share their knowledge to us. These last two videos were a real eye opener for me and I have been shooting for 40+ years and thought I knew almost everything there is to tuning!! Love it!!!I have always been a bare shaft believer and these last two videos concreted my process. I know there are many ways to get it done but this and now Nick's addition solidified it for me!! BTW 3/4" wide electrical tape is 1.8 GPI if anyone is wondering ☺

Man all I have to say is this is good content. I do all my own tuning for my bows and all my friends and family's. I don't go this in depth at all with there bows or my bows. I do take alot of time to make shure they are timed and shoot perfect even with broadheads. But I am going to have to play with that bare shaft and torque tuning agen.
Dan thanks for all the great tinkering.

Man I wish I could have one of you guys tune my phase 4. I haven’t been doing this long enough to know everything and I don’t trust the shops around me. They know I’m not super experienced so I feel they do a half a** job. I couldn’t figure out why I can shoot a 2” group at 20-40 yds and can’t group past that. Shot it through paper and it’s way off. And rest is timed way off. Vanes are hitting it. That was right from the shop

It's easier to shoot a bareshaft from 25-30 m and more, then it's better to see what needs to be done with the rest.

It is interesting how as an industry we think the newer shorter ATA bows are better... If you are looking for deadnuts accuracy we should really be looking at the target shooting industry... My best shooting bow EVER was a 38 ATA... Nationally, most people probably hunt from a stand of some sort... They really don't have to carry their bows that far. I think it is the industry pushing numbers or something different...

Also...Nick I have been doing some testing. I trimmed some of your Max Stealth's down to 2.25" in length and some Max Hunter's down to .50" in height with great results! Please build a Max Stealth II, or Max Hunter II. I am currently running the Max Pro in a 4 fletch just because of the .46" height with perfect flight but it would be nice of the Pro was a little longer. You need a vane that is +/- .50" tall and 2.0-2.24" long....it will sell!!

@@nickfisher9736 23 is only .38" tall though? be awesome at that length and height of "at least" the Pro Max. I LOVE the Pro Max but wish is were 2"-2.3" in length.
