I’m in my mid 40’s and got back into archery. While it is quite pricey In 2024 These videos are a great help to service your own bow which is just as fascinating as the hunting portion. Thank you for your dedication and great quality videos.
That’s how I tie my peep. I tried tieing my peep like bowmar 1 time with all half hitches and will never do that again. Great info mfjj. Keep the tech videos coming it’s hard to find bow tech videos that you can trust and being a tinker I learn a lot by trial and error. I would like to cut out all the error possible. I have a press , draw board, bow vise and arrow saw so I try to do everything myself but that damn error keeps coming back it would be awesome if you made a series on basic bow teching and basic tuning for people like me that have the equipment and want to learn but have no where to find the knowledge that is 💯% trustworthy
Bowmars is rock solid but ya gotta be sure it dead on. Use an o-ring around the peep and string until you get it where you want then tie it in. The o-ring will keep it in the string and allow for adjustment until you get it perfect.
I would imagine these supplies could come from a hobby craft store? Archery shop is two hours away , sometimes we gotta adapt. Nice and concise instruction.
Thanks MFJJ First time through missed part about inside looks different from outside. I have that issue right now lol still hitting what I want but does look smaller outside
That was a really well done and informative video. Some experts are leery about telling others what they use and why. Thank you for giving us clear instructions and a solid rationale for your choices and methods. Good luck this fall
Hey MFJJ I have a question! How do you separate the strands evenly on a solid colour string? Any tips?! Love your content keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your wisdom!
my sight housing is a Axcel Hunting Slider Sight ArmorTech Lite Fixed Mount 1.6 inch Scope an my bow is a Bowtech SS34 the peep Sight is a 5/32" and still I don't have a full view of the scope! what should I do?
This may be a dumb question but is it possible to move a peep sight a small amount up or down the string after it is tied in? I think when setting up my bow at the local shop the peep got tied in about .25-.5 inches to low so I feel my self scrunching down to see through the peep and line up with the sight housing.
Can I ask a dumb question I had new strings put on my prima and the shop only tied the peep itself but every time i shoot my peep is out of wack it’s twisted does tying it in hell with that?
Sad I just got ripped of by my local bow shop. I'm tired for paying for trash or having to pay big money to ship it out to someone who knows where they are doing. Time to start my own shop setup

Solid tie in. That's the way I tie my peeps in as well. Bees wax is key. It makes it so much easier when tacky. Thanks for sharing! ABT
I’ve used this vid multiple times. Thanks josh

Thanks for like the 5th time over the last few years on this!
The wax is such a help keeping it stick to the bow string!
Nice job, you made a good decision with this RUclips channel, it's helpful for us and you. Thanks.
I’m going to change my own string in the next couple weeks. These are SOOO helpful!

What is the” black gold war”? … on the white board behind you
I tie my peep with dental floss. It was all I had at the time. And it has held up wonderfully.
I am doing mine the exact same way, but using 3d waxed dacron.
Thanks Buddy Awesome
Great video, very helpful. How do you go about tying in the nose button?
That looks bad ass!
12:37 is the one of the most important comments unspoken by most shops or unbeknownst... Prob the most important
Hey MFJJ big fan of your work and thanks for sharing so much wicked content! How about a center serving video? Cheers!!!
Do you have a video on choosing the right size peep?
So do you recommend waxing your bow string with Bees wax as well? Thanks and keep up the Great videos!
Do I need to press the bow to take tension off the string to tie in with this method?
How about a vid about putting a peep in a new bow, for complete newbies?
MFJJ could be a radio host for a smooth jazz station lol

what should I do?
Hey Josh, what is your preferred size of raptor peep for hunting?
Number 2 nylon? Is that the bcy 400? .020? Thank you
It’s crazy how I see some shops that just wrap serving around the peep like 5 times and say that’s good.😡 This style is here is super secure.
What’s the exact serving material that you are using? #2 is tough to find. So many things pop up
Me too..
Any special modifications necessary to use an impact gun on the press other than removing my wheel????

You the man .. thank you
Another great video
Thank you 👍🏽
What's the difference between this 2x nylon and brownell #4?
Can I ask a dumb question I had new strings put on my prima and the shop only tied the peep itself but every time i shoot my peep is out of wack it’s twisted does tying it in hell with that?

Do I need beeswax if I’m using BCY “peep and nock thread?”
Thanks
Very nice
How do you get it not to twist
Ty
Its like snelling a bent eye fish hook. I need a press so i can do this at home thanks MFJJ
I'm running 4x lens and at 40 yards it's blurry I want to shoot to 50 yards at max. Would a 5x or a 6x be better?
Get a clarifier in your peep
Why do you *need* to see all the way around your housing?
Tried this. Peep and D loop twisted. Noob, don’t know what to do
Thanks man
If only I had a bow press 😂
Use a sawtooth peep , don't worry about tying
Where do you get the beeswax?
Amazon has options
Most craft/hobby stores.
Wolf Mission
Turn auto focus off when filming, it shouldn't be blurred all the time.
Camera boy needs to get in front of you
Don't forget to call PSE
I don't know why people get so bitchy abt this guys teaching style. U don't need to be a gold medalist too teach. And he's being fun with it.

#2 NYLON? Like braided nylon serving? If I google BCY #2 nylon. 10 things pop up
Yeah there's 400, 350 and then nock point and peep tying thread which is nylon
@@natesims6585 nock and peep thread in .02 is in stock on their site now, so I'm guessing that's it based on their description
Great vid wish camera man got closer really can’t see what’s going on !!!
