- In this video from Learn Electrics, we will take a look at Part 4 of the Wiring Regulations and how to find the answers to exam questions.
The video follows BS7671 : 18th Edition Amendment 2, the big brown book, and it will be the only book allowed in the exam. The Wiring Regulations exam is based on your understanding of how to USE the book, NOT on how many pages you can remember. And, with over 600 pages, you are never going to recall every regulation on every page.
Instead, we show you how to approach the exam, and each question, in a methodical and organised manner. Following this method you will home in on the answers quickly and easily.

Got mine soon, can you definitely put tabs etc in the book?
You can put limited tabs in the book, but ask yourself why you are doing that when there is a perfectly adequate contents page on page 3 and actually better than using tabs. Follow these Amendment 2 videos and understand page 3 and you will be well away. Good luck. Dave.
Question 8 answer is 462.2 but there is no options in the 4 choices .. then how can we answer option D
The answer is ... as detailed in regulation 461.2. That is the answer. have another look at the question and thanks for watching.
Q: I can find no ref' to BS EN ISO 11925-2 you say to question about arc's see p85 421.1.3 but even in pages with BS codes I can't find answer you gave. Confused as progressing for exam
Its there on page 85 of the brown Wiring Regs book. Regulation 421.1.3 BS EN ISO 11925-2
