18th EDITION EXAM - BS7671 - AMENDMENT 2 - PARTS 1, 2, 3 QUESTIONS AND HOW TO FIND THE ANSWER

- In this video from Learn Electrics, we will take a look at Part1, 2, 3 of the Wiring Regulations and how to find the answers to exam questions without trying to remember all the Regulations.
Instead, concentrate on understanding how the book is laid out, use the help and information that is provided in the book and look for the keywords that are in every question.
The video follows BS7671 : 18th Edition Amendment 2, the big brown book, and it will be the only book allowed in the exam. The Wiring Regulations exam is based on your understanding of how to USE the book, NOT on how many pages you can remember. And, with over 600 pages, you are never going to recall every regulation on every page.
Instead, we show you how to approach the exam, and each question, in a methodical and organised manner. Following this method you will home in on the answers quickly and easily.

Very welcome David, thanks for your support. Dave.
Sir,
I can’t tell you, how I’m grateful enough for making my life easier. It’s super easy when you explained it here , before that I had no clue how to use the bs 7671. The teacher at the college doesn’t bother or had no clue like me how to explain. Thank you so much and wish you happy new year ahead.
Thank you, appreciated comments. So glad the videos are helping. If you go to LearnElectrics.com and put Amendment 2 in the search box you will get direct links to all the amendment 2 videos. If you are having trouble at college, tell your colleagues about the LearnElectrics channel, they might need the help too, Thanks. Dave.
This upload is Satisfactory 😊

Thanks Dibbo. Just working on a video about the Special Locations, that's about 10 questions in the exam. It will be the first week in September when its on air. Thanks for the support. Dave.
thanks you a lot sir it helps a lot to me.
You are most welcome Ariel. Thanks for watching. Lots more to come.
I was going to ask in comments about amendment 2 and was surprised to see this video. Can you possibly make a video on how to label the book using sticky notes please?
Definitely not Rohani. The method I teach does not need sticky notes. Follow the methods described in each of the amendment 2 videos and you will not need stickies. And, you will find the answers more easily following my method. Sorry to disappoint but if you want to give yourself the best chance, follow the advice in the videos. You can also go onto the website and search for any specific item. Good luck. dave.
@@learnelectrics4402 Thank you Dave, much appreciated 👍
just a Question, When the Questions are being Rolled out on teh screen at the Exam .. will it be like the first Four Questions be on Part 1 and then the next 2 Questions on Part 2 ETC.!!
Would explain the results at the end, and make it easier to calculate
The questions can be in any order and from any part of the book.
Generally, they tend to follow the Part order in the book, but we cannot ever guarantee this. You will usually have a couple of questions on Part 1, a couple on Part 2. Part 4 will have about 12 or more questions, so will part 5, part six might have the next eight or ten and so on.
There will always be enough clues in the question for you to find the Part. Follow the videos and they will give you tips on looking for those clues. I might even do a video on this now that you have asked.
Dave.
I can't find these pages your talking about on the brown onsite guide?
Shaquille, they are in the Brown Wiring Regs book, not in the on-site guide. In the exam the on site guide will be no use to you. Use the Brown Wiring Regs book and all will be ok. Dave.
@LEARN ELECTRICS my teacher said I'm going to need this book for the exam
Hello, the last question I found confusing; part of the ventilation system is used when extracting smoke, so the answer is partly right and partly wrong from the real-world view, I can understand it is more about the English language and matching words.
Exactly Frank, that's why they use those words in the exam. You must word match.
How many questions must someone answer correctly in order to pass the exam?
The passmark is ABOUT 60%. I say about because the exam bodies can increase the passmark if they feel the exam questions were too easy (too many people passing)
60% is 36 marks but realistically you want to aim for ABOVE 70% - 42 marks.
Following our exam guidance, many previous candidates have achieved 85% to 90%.
Start practicing early. Revisit all the videos and attempt all the questions. Half an hour every other night for a month is better than cramming in 6 hours the night before. Hope this helps. Dave.
I hate this book 😭
learn to love it. Thanks for watching and good luck.
