I find it so funny how Kris is the absolute best example of “we can’t win”. We always hear that kids shouldn’t transition, that we are somehow “forcing” transition onto children.

Yeah I have a twitch(?) I do when I get very overstimulated, like with touching moist food and such. I can suppress it to some degree but it’s mostly out of my control and it always feels awful if it happens in front of anyone other than my friends.
If you wanna know, the twitch is like the part of that “didn’t even notice” dance from tik Tok a while back where you hit your head. Only my head turns a lot to the left and my hand is hitting the back of my head more

The whole “high functioning autism” and “low functioning autism” sounds to me like a scale on how much an autistic person can participate in capitalism.
I started calling it "high masking" VS "low masking" I'm a high masker which is why I wasn't diagnosed til I was 31. Because to me it makes more sense, since some days I definitely have a lower ability to mask which makes me feel really exhausted and easily overwhelmed that I cannot do basic things like cook or clean.

i’ve had people tell me that my scoliosis isn’t a disability to try to make me “feel better” (it doesn’t). like i have to wear stiff plastic around my torso in the 110 degree summer heat and have limited movement for 23 hours a day, all while dealing with chronic back pain. it isn’t an insult to say that it’s a disability, thats just ableism at work.

So if you don't ladder lace your white laces, it's not quite so bad, especially to people who know exactly what to look for.

People who feel as though their general neurodivergence (schizophrenia, ADHD, bipolar, systemhood, etc) play into their gender directly may use the term Neurogender
It’s important to note that ONLY ND PEOPLE CAN USE THESE. If you are allistic and use the term autigender/autogender to describe yourself, you’re doing an ableism.
As an autistic, fuck that gatekeeping. Maybe they are about to go on a journey of self discovery. Maybe they are trying to describe something they don't have a better word for. That's not my place to judge. I've been judged for using the wrong words before and it fucking sucks, I refuse to be on the other side of that. If somebody is being an asshole about something, that's a different matter, but just using a word is not enough to make that judgement.

I'm a lot more interested in making sure that someone feels like they are in a safe community for them to discover and express their identity in than I am in policing word usage. If you are more interested in policing word usage than making sure people feel safe expressing themselves, I think that makes you a bad person.
Remember that you don’t have to have dysphoria to be trans. You don’t have to transition to be trans. You don’t have to have childhood signs to be trans. Everyone’s story is different, and we should cherish that. YOU ARE TRANS ENOUGH!!!🏳️⚧️❤
Sorry as a trans person can you explain how someone can be trans without having gender dysphoria? It doesnt mean hating yourself, it literally just means your brain is different than your genitals. If your soul matches your body you arent trans.....

Whereas gender dysphoria is distress/discomfort caused by a person's gender identity not matching up with their assigned sex, gender euphoria is like the opposite (feeling of joy/comfort a trans person may experience when thinking about their true gender identity). Dysphoria is more negative but euphoria is more positive
I'm not trans tho and I'm not the original commenter so I don't know for sure, this is just from my own limited knowledge as a cis person 😅

They didn't say that dysphoria means hating yourself, just that it's not a requirement to being trans. All you really need (and even then, this is subjective, everyone's experiences of their own identity and how they reach them are different) is to feel comfort in identifying or presenting outside of what you were assigned at birth. Ergo: gender euphoria.
A trans woman doesn't need to be uncomfortable in her body or her presentation before any kind of transition in order to be trans, which is what a dysphoria based criteria would dictate; She just needs to feel comfortable in WHATEVER way she presents outside of her assigned gender at birth. This could be as simple as wearing a dress or changing her name or painting her nails or just plain saying 'I'm a woman now'. OR it could be something more permanent/lasting like starting HRT or getting gender affirmation surgery. Whatever way best suits HER identity.
Please don't try to tell people what they can and can't be if they are identifying that way in earnest. The community doesn't need calls from inside the house when we've already got horror movie slashers right outside our doors. You don't have to understand it, but you *do* have to respect it (okay you don't *have* to do that either, but you're kind of a dick if you don't).

This is the first time I've heard someone talk about autigender and I am living for it. I found out about it on my own when I was looking into microlabels and I haven't heard a peep about it outside of the queer wikia.
My socialization was very weird, so the concept of gender has always been very "mushy" to me, for lack of a better word. I'm sitting with agender + autigender because I never learned the rituals of gender presentation beyond clothing, and I just don't see a significant difference between being a man or a woman.
If I didn't have enough reason to buy that book, I do now lol

Speaking of Kris, one of my so-called friends (unsure what to think of her now) recently-ish found out she was trans before and hadn’t seen her fully transition and called her “ugly” and said she had “greasy hair”. as someone who gets panic attacks when needles are involved heres some things that help me:
- a plushie that means a lot to me
-laying down for it
-moving legs
-playing music that calms me down
-fidget toys in non needled hand
ugh i feel you. i was never scared of needles until last time i needed them and yikes. i definitely recommend squeezing something like a stress ball, it should help distract you and relieve tension!

Restless Leg Syndrome is very real and has been around for ages. Its been around so long that my 60 year old father in law who was a nurse and veteran and plane flyer and literally such a smart man, had QUININE in his first aid bag and the BOTTLE SAID IT WAS EVEN FOR RESTLESS LEGS LOL. Quinine is illegal now btw.
And We were looking for something to help the restless legs and pain and cramps from withdrawls.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts OP! My sister and I also relate, our dad is 67 years old and has had restless leg syndrome since he was a teenager. He’s a really awesome and funny guy who loves music and sailing. ⛵️🎶

So I'm afab and used she/her pronouns for my whole life but I think I might try using he/him. See I've been talking to people online and I think some of them just assumed I'm amab and call me "masculine words" (???) (in my language nouns, adjetives and almost everything is gendered) and it doesn't really bother me, I kinda like it actually. Also my username is a more masculine nickname of my birth name (which I don't like and I wanna legally change some day in the future). But idk ig I'll update as I figure this out

- does anyone have any educational websites to help me learn more about the Supreme Court and just the u.s justice system in general?
- is it ok to still call myself pakistani even though my mother is white?
- what can I do if I’m a leftist but I cannot actively go to things like marches or stuff, but I still want to rebuttal the government? (I’m a minor with some slightly conservative parents)
As for leftist activism as a minor, I'd say try to spend this time educating yourself. Read and watch essays and videos if you can. Listed to talks and speeches, get yourself acquainted with different ideologies and thinking-schools.
If you really want to be safe, I'd also advise you to keep activism online. Maybe make alias/anonymous online accounts and share petitions/rally dates from there. Follow organizations and people online for information. Fill out petitions. Make online and maybe irl friends that you can talk to and "hang out with" so your parents are proud of you for socializing, but don't know secretly you're being a leftie. Maybe via those friends you can then find more friends and you all can hang out or share hobbies.

Actually ecstatic to see 3:00, I've never really seen RLS being talked about anywhere, and even then, the name itself is misleading.
I think something scary about RLS for me is that it's not really just a pain, it's more like a feeling so excruciating that it can make you harm yourself. I never really sought help for it, and at this point I can't remember if it was always like this or if it grew to be like this, but I have RLS, "Restless 'leg' syndrome" in my entire body, especially in the joints, it makes me tense and strain my muscles to get it away, to the point where I pop and crack and end up injuring myself for days. Back when I was little I used to beat at my hips to make it go away, it didn't really help in the long term, but physical pain sort of helps relieve it as long as you keep being in pain. Ik this sounds really edgy but I've never really found somewhere to talk about this so I'm just kind of getting it all out
Another thing about it that makes it sort of a horror of its own is that, at least for me, it works kind of like "the game", if you know what that is, in which case sorry to remind you, where I might have forgotten about it for a while, in fact there was a long period where I'd completely forgotten about it, I assume because of a traumatic event at that time, and then it came back one night, when I remembered why sleeping was so hard back then. And after that, it was just sort of a game of dooming myself, thinking "Time to sleep" and, also having intrusive thoughts, maybe they played a part of it? Idk, either way It just comes back as a "Hopefully I don't think about the thing" and woops, I thought about the thing, and now I have to stretch and strain and tense up just to endure to the point where I get tired enough to just sleep despite the aching.
Even despite all this I've never really heard of it being referred to as a disability, people just told me I was energetic and restless, and after my ADHD diagnosis, that it was just the ADHD, which to be fair, I think there's been some studies linking the two, due to both being related to dopamine not functioning properly in the body, or something like that, either way, I was just really happy to see this video
