Ive never tried or even heard of green bean casserole but I love green beans and this looks great! I normally just cook green beans with butter and garlic as a side dish.

Morning Laura how's your day good I hope I've been making green bean casserole for over 30 years the can version this is the dish I bring to to the family gatherings than I tried it from scratch you know all fresh ingredients except the fried onions I could not believe how good it came out, if I had someone to cook for I probably would make it but just me I make a small amount can ingredients love your videos

Green bean casserole is my favorite part of holiday meals. Weird, I know. But it's really the only time I ever eat it. Nobody else in my house likes it. I usually make it the traditional way with canned green beans & cream of mushroom soup. But THIS looks so good! And not really much more work. I definitely want to try this recipe!

I am from South Mississippi and we have never made this at all. We do Italian green beans that are unbelievable! Green beans, lemon, olive oil, Italian bread crumbs, parmesan, garlic. Sooooo good!

Okay so i made this today for a friends giving. It was a hit. Thanks ! And also made the mash potatoes. Both were amazing !! Alsooo. This fed more than 20 tbh. It was more than enough.

This puts our green bean casserole to shame, and I thought ours was quite a bit fancier than the standard canned beans and cream of mushroom soup. Going to try to get some fresh green beans for sure this year.

I like to mix my cream of mushroom with a little bit of sour cream and lots of black pepper then mix it with the green beans and some shredded cheese 😋
How does this particular recipe handle being made ahead? I usually mix mine up the night before and bake it the day of.

I always make my green bean casserole just like this. I make it the night before, I just make sure that my green beans aren’t fully cooked, because the day of thanksgiving I throw it in The oven to reheat it and I don’t like mushy green beans. BUT keep in mind to top with french’s onions until ready to serve so they stay crispy.
I was wondering the same. Maybe keep the soup mixture separate from the beans in the fridge. Then heat, mix, top with onions and serve. That's what I will try

Diana Soto maybe you can do cream of chicken soup instead of the mushroom. It would be more like “chicken green been casserole” but would have a lot of flavor!
