Here it is! My new car! A 2018 Shelby GT350R finished in Lead Foot Gray with black racing stripes. I have loved the GT350R since I first drove one, the feel of that Voodoo 5.2L flat plane crank engine is absolutely addicting. A properly track capable Mustang, the R brings a more aggressive aero pacakge and carbon fiber wheels wrapped in Michelin Cup 2 tires. After an 18 hour drive back home from Tampa, FL, the GT350R is back home. Many exciting videos coming with this car! I love that I have circled back to a track focused iteration of the Mustang, my first car I ever bought myself was a 2012 Boss 302 Laguna Seca, and the GT350R is its spiritual successor. Dude I had no idea the GT350 came in that color, that color is amazing.
Also you can cold start the car without that toggle switch. Just press the push start without actually turning the engine on, open the valves and then push in the clutch and turn the car on like normal
Best thing about Mustangs/Shelby's is the aftermarket ecosystem. Its like the old Xmas catalogs in the 80's , so many options to choose from... Sincerely ZL1 owner thats jealous of the stock exhaust on Shelby's llllol

You ain't lying. There are sooo many more options for my 15 GT than my 17 ZL1. Mustang shops are all over the place, and there are so many vendors for parts. Parts are cheap due to the competition and the crazy availability of used parts. I feel like I've been paying 50% more per each part I buy for the ZL1. Not sure if that's ZL1 "tax" or just a Camaro thing (first GM car).

If you want to start the car with the valves open, just switch to sport before starting.
The only problem with that is is starts with valves closed then opens and stays in open. I like the initial rumble when it starts with valves open which you have to start it as soon as you push your clutch in

I don't like Mustangs but this is the best car you've owned so far in my opinion. The GT350 is the only mustang I've lusted after. It is a special car not the run of the mill Mustang seen everyday.

I have a 2017 350 with the filter upgrade,and all 350s built from 7/17 were equipped with the oil filter upgrade. So Eddie should be fine on that issue.

Congrats beautiful car! I just ordered a 2020 GT350R last week in Shadow Black with the matte black stripes. I sold my 2020 GT500 and now I'm upgrading :-)

Yep I missed the manual. Gt500 was my dream car and really struggled with even buying it since it did not come with a standard transmission. I understand it isn’t as fast and as a manual but I wanted something for the driving experience. I’ve only had manual mustangs in the past. Don’t get me wrong the DCT is an amazing transmission but at the end of the day I never felt connected to the car like I did with a manual.

Thanks the GT500 owners seem to get real butthurt if you don’t sing praises about the DCT and choose it over the manual. At the end of the day it isn’t always what’s faster it’s what seems to be a better fit for the person driving the car.
Spot on with the 350r. Not many people left in the game making a solid manual transmission car. I’d take the 350r any day over the new Vette, the gt500, any Italian exotic - pretty much anything with the possible exception of a Viper ACR

Either that gray or the really light gray color is the best looking paint for that car. It’s almost like a very pale shade of light blue. Gorgeous car

I'm soo happy your back in a performance mustang! I bought a boss 302 just before you bought yours and I sold mine as well. I still miss/regret it to this very day. I now have a 2017 911 c2s and I still miss my boss 302!!! Am I crazy ya'll???
congrats! they are amazing cars the sounds it makes is heavenly get in it let off a touch and toe the pedal on decel it will burble like you won't believe till you let off the pedal! seeing the oil right off the bat yup you def got GT350 thats my only complaint always keep oil the consumption is unreal depending on how your driving it! blessing bro I enjoy the content!

I was blessed to share the same joy and excitement when I picked up my GT350 about a month ago! Sharing your same opinion, I’m already planning for changes to the car! Mine is not an R, but it does come with the Cup 2 tires standard. Invested in front mud flaps, driver and passenger Ford Performance oil separators so far. But this car is so good from the factory that it is tough decisions to make any changes! Drive her hard and enjoy!!

This is so ironic Eddie X. You inspired me to look country wide for my mustang. Tampa must be the Mustang HQ for the south. I found my 2017 convertible GT with PP in Tampa at Ford dealership. I wrap the front end in blue tape and drove back to Tennessee.

20mpg should be appreciated, not too long ago v8 used to get 8 mpg and like 300hp ! Now v8 with 600hp plus get 20mpg!!! Quite an improvement
