The 2020 Shelby GT500 is the most powerful production Mustang every built, with a 5.2L Supercharged V8 making 760HP and 625 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a 7 speed DCT transmission, this track monster is irresponsibly fast. Tremendously capable both around a track and in a straight line, the top tier Shelby takes everything to the next level. As a current Shelby GT350R owner, I can confidently say that the GT500 brings a completely different kind of driving experience. The more powerful GT500 is without a doubt much more capable, and despite being 500lbs heavier, will demolish the GT350 in almost every metric. I enjoyed my time with the GT500 so much that I now want to add one to my garage alongside the GT350R!

Thank you for comparing it to a hellcat! I drove a charger hellcat a couple of weeks back and that was the greatest driving experience I’ve ever had. I can’t imagine this beast

0:37 they have, in the past, said that about ALL other models when they come out. I do think the CFTP is the way to go (NOT w ADM though), but in years to come, the GT350R will be more special and exclusive, and valuable juxtaposed against it's cost new.
Corvette C8’s are selling for $10-$20K above MSRP. Any new hot car like GT500, C8, GT4, GT3 are selling above MSRP
No they are not.. Go to another dealer or state or town. I would not pay over but under, like who wants my money. that month.
Just paid for my GT500 base at MSRP....there are dealers out there that will sell at msrp without any issues.
@@Cblindxp Yep you got many dealers who want your business and money. I hate auto dealers who add on for greed only. They all get the same models. I live in a Metro area where I got options of who wants my Time. It's up to you to walk away and to another not in the group.

I tuned my coyote and it can rev to 8k. Cross plane sounds better than flat plane imo.
@@lethal5.0 But the advantage of the GT350 over a regular GT is the Tremec transmission. The Tremec is another big reason to get the GT350 over a standard GT.
If Ford paired the 5.0 with the Tremec in all production Mustang GTs and not just the Mach 1, I wouldn’t disagree.

The biggest problem is the dealer mark-up prices, my local dealer has a orange one like in the video and has a $148,000 price!

@@Cblindxp I can't remember but the dealer mark-up is $50,000. I bought a Rapid Red GT-350 this past July and dealer sold it to me for sticker price. Negotiation went back and forth until they finally accepted my offer.
I SO AGREE I HATE HOW THE DEALERS ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE BUYER LOL I CAN SEE 5 GRAND OVER STICKER BUT MORE THAN THAT THEY CAN KEEP IT.
MY 07 CONVERTABLE GT 500 WAS MARKED UP 30 GRAND AND IT SOLD FOR THAT AND I THINK THAT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN.
Dodge is owned by an Italian company the Hellcat is made in Canada, Not its "American counter part" However if you think that then why not the AMG C63S 2 door 4 seats boosted V8.

dealer I ride my bike by had one. I had to convince myself it wasn't worth the double my current GT payment for the car. I just keep complaining to FORD on surveys about the lack of ACC. And will wait that out. I need that self driving feature.
I hope ford does away with the standard GT500 wheels. They look like a premium mustang GT wheel at best.

It's a dog and heavy too. Can't out run a Chevy Camaro ZL-1-1LE. On a Track with left and right, up and down in the dust not adding anything like some $$$$ track package.
