The 2020 Shelby GT500 is the most powerful production Mustang every built, with a 5.2L Supercharged V8 making 760HP and 625 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a 7 speed DCT transmission, this track monster is irresponsibly fast. Tremendously capable both around a track and in a straight line, the top tier Shelby takes everything to the next level. As a current Shelby GT350R owner, I can confidently say that the GT500 brings a completely different kind of driving experience. The more powerful GT500 is without a doubt much more capable, and despite being 500lbs heavier, will demolish the GT350 in almost every metric. I enjoyed my time with the GT500 so much that I now want to add one to my garage alongside the GT350R! Check out this vlog from my week with a GT500!

Ahh man I can't stop smiling listening to those beautiful sounds!😄 You're a lucky man to be able to drive those icons. The Shelby GT500 is a beast! I hope to own one someday or be fortunate enough to drive one. THAT ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK!💯😂
I actually work down at the Flat Rock assembly, and I drive these every day. Usually in 'transport mode' (ie: neutered), but ran into one in full power mode. Had to run it down to the south yard, so I got on Vreeland road, and mind you, this was full blown track pack spec and Pilot Sport Cup II's, got it pointing straight, traction control off, rolling at 15mph and put it down.
Those giant 315 wide meats on the back just sat there and spun. It was truly scary just how powerful this car is, and things can get out of control VERY quickly. The 350R's are nice, but yes, they don't make much power down low, but the manaul trans option on the 350R makes it much more engaging to me...
Are the GT350s like that? Never had a RWD sports car until I got the GT350 and I baby it when I turn, I only mildly spun the tires ones as I turned. It seems like the GT350 doesn't loose control like that. One of the reasons I considered it over the Hellcat Redeye lol, didnt want to die.
I live in Brownstown lol, I seen the new Broncos going down Sibley rd. a few weeks ago.

Wow, I never knew that the GT500 had the newer tailights, I always thought something was off but I didnt know. The GT350 is all around better porptionally imo. GT350 is like the beautiful girl. And the GT500 is the hot blonde super model.

Ford theu big Price increases on the 2022's & ADMs are still $10/$15k around our area.
They say Ford is not making a 2023 GT500 as of today, July 12, '22. & if we ever see another GT500, it will likely be a hybrid or fully electric. So '22 is the lastbof the all fuel gas burners in a GT500 it seems. I totally geel the same way you do about ADMs that are more than about 5% over sticker. One question is, will any of the 3 yrs (20/21/22) hold either better/worse value than there counter parts? 🤔 or since the '22 is newest & the mist expensive, will it be a bit higher due to msrp is more on its own? Time will tell.

Eddie, it’s nice that Ford let you use the GT500 for a lengthy review. Beautiful car! You can over ride the clutch for an auto start on a manual as long as you remember to keep it in neutral when starting.

MAN I HAVE 4 SHELBYS MYSELF BUT IF I WERE TO BUY THE NEW GT500 IT BE IN THIS COLOR LOL MY SUPERSNAKE COUPE IS GRABBER BLUE AND MY OTHER SUPER SNAKE IS TORCH RED AND THIS SUMMER I PLAN ON BUYING A 07 09 GRABBER ORANGE SUPER SNAKE AND HOPEFULLY I CAN FIND A RARE 427 EDITION SUPERSNAKE.
9:41 Correct, 2019 and 2020 BUT, on cars optioned with the Tech Pack only... which is (or was, still is on the GT500) twice the damn price in CAD as the US. Why I never optioned the 2020 GT350R I ordered with it, didn't need the extra BS... (side note, bc of covid I veto'd out of the order... car was still built and sold. I am now looking at a 2021 GT500).

You keep referring to the GT350 and GT500 as Shelbys. My question is are they truly Shelbys if they are not made by Shelby America in Nevada? I mean these just come off an assembly line in Detroit and have the name Shelby added to them right? I'm not trying to disparage these cars in any way either, just wondering what the concensus is on the whole Shelby name these days. I think the GT500 looks better, but I'd take either!
