Eddie Whatever you do, NEVER SELL THIS CAR! I moved from So Cal to a northern climate for retirement. Sold my '19 GT350 with about 10K miles on it to a friend just before moving. I sat in a GT350R a few years ago and now I’ve worked in the service department of a Chevrolet dealership for 6 months as a car runner and shuttle driver. The C8 is much harder to get into than the Mustang. I got to move a C8 all of 50 feet a few weeks ago and I never pushed the gas pedal. Maybe just maybe if I’m very lucky I’ll get to drive a C8 on the road.

Great review Eddie! 100% agree on all your discussion points. Love your Leadfoot grey. I own a black 2016 350R (same colour as Matt’s) and I absolutely love it. I do like my 2023 C8 as well, but the Shelby is a much more dynamic driving experience! The sound is intoxicating and with all due respect to the great sound of the Z06, and yes, I know you can’t really compare the 2 FPC’s but I personally prefer the tone of the Shelby. Please keep the greatly informative vids coming! Thanks 🙏👍
Thank you for the kind words! Absolutely very different personality between the two engines, all down to preference. I personally love the more exotic higher pitched Z06 sound, but the GT350R is truly a special experience.
I really debated the GT350 vs the Boss 302…and at the end of everything, the Boss is a better car for the money without question. Lap times, overall character, rarity…the Boss is so perfect.
I agree with you Eddie, I have a 2020 Rapid Red GT-350 I bought in July 2020. I was lucky to get the car for sticker price because of the Pandemic, people were not buying cars and dealers were eager to sell. I have done some mods like added rear Gurney flaps, rear top spoiler, rear LED side parking lights and race stripes along the bottom side panels. The only engine mod is the Air-Raid air filter. I'm thinking about getting front sequential LED turning lights from I5 Autohaus in Santa Ana California.
I took my gt350 to a ford dealer service shop for an oil change, because i didn’t want to mess with the car at the time, and they didn’t tighten the oil filter. it leaked about 4 quarts onto my driveway when i found out. had it towed to ford and they told me it needed a new motor. told me it would be 28k for a new motor. i told them that i wasn’t paying it because it didn’t leak until they did an oil change. they kept telling me that my car didn’t have a warranty so they couldn’t do it for free. towed it to another ford dealer about 30 min away and they tightened the oil filter and did an oil change for free. my motor unfortunately burns a quart about every 400 miles after that mishap at the first dealer. they say that it wasn’t their fault because the motors naturally burn oil. i don’t really care because i got a brand new gen 2 for less at the better ford dealer and i have a full drivetrain warranty. awesome service at Town and country, never disappointed. i also drove my 3v to the first ford for a broken catalytic converter and then i had a horrid exhaust leak. i got my car up on jackstands and they were missing 2 bolts to the manifold. crazy
I love the GT350, even the regular one handles amazing & sounds good. The only thing I don’t like about it besides the cheap interior is I wish it had more induction noise like the e92 or e46 M3.
You are spot on with your comments on this car. I absolutely love mine. They are very special cars. I noticed you have a Gen 1. Have you driven the Gen 2 version? I have both and the Gen 2 is a different drive with the steering box changes and some of the GT500 suspension tuning. You need to drive one if you haven't already. Great Video.
What kind of changes have they done to the steering? I have a 22 GT500 and just got a 16 GT350 and I noticed the 350 has a much better turning radius. I hope they didn’t make it worse on the 19-20 350s lol
@@sliknik1025 I don’t think the turning radius is different on the Gen 2. The biggest difference that I have found is the car doesn’t tramline like the Gen 1 does.
What a beautiful car and looks like a true joy to drive! One "complaint" I've heard is the gear ratios are pretty wide so you only really get to drive the car to redline in first and second gear without getting into too much trouble. I want a GT350 but am also leaning towards a Lotus Evora GT because it's supposedly more nimble and fun to enjoy on the streets and canyon roads. Excellent video and very informative!!! Hmm I don't recall ever feeling like the gearing was too long to enjoy properly, is it fast? absolutely. But compared to some of the other boosted cars this one you can actually run through a few gears and not feel like its instant jail. Also, it is so exciting that even doing half throttle shifted halfway to redline is fun. If you have canyon roads, the mid-engine lotus would be great, but won't have an engine like the GT350. The Asian Doug
Thank you for your honesty. The lack of quality by Ford is a sin. The disrespect Ford shows its consumers is insulting. Ford doesn't know quality. They used to but no more. $60 $70 grand for junk is not for me. Thanks man.
