      I’m in the same boat! I’ve been looking since November 2019! The price for the Scat now is $10,000 more than it was pre pandemic! I see the cars sitting and so I’ll just keep waiting until the pricing comes down!

    Dealers should be called out.This bubble wrap society is ludicrous and no one can take an ounce of criticism anymore. How do you ever get better if you don't want to know what your doing wrong....the whole car selling model is totally screwed up and encourages uncouth behavior.....I went into the dealer for my wife's car last week to buy it since the lease was expiring. They tried to slip in an extended warranty at 3k and thought I wouldn't notice. Unbelievable and it's sad of how many people would have just said, ok!.....i should do a video on the other experience i had with the extended warranty guy for a different car and what happened when he finally realized i wasnt going to do it. You would think i killed his dog.

What kind of idiot would make that deal??

Oh well onto bigger and better things great vid OC!

    My favorite BS scam was when I was looking at trading in a car to a dealership and was told it was basically worthless because it didn't have the factory rims on it. Then the first over priced car they showed me had "custom" rims on it so of course the price was $100's over KBB because of that. Also no matter what you have to trade, you will be told it is worthless because they just had to send a bunch of those to auction because nobody wants them. Car dealers are the scum of the earth and my best friend is one. LOL

  • @frankvanfossan
    @frankvanfossan Месяц назад +8

    Excellent video and so true...I just called an out of state dealer on a new 23 Raptor 37 pkg which was listed at MSRP of 88K and when I spoke with the salesperson inquiring on the price the first words out of his mouth was a 5K market adjustment. I informed him that I was not interested and they are a 14 hour drive from me. The salesman then went into we will probably give you more on your current Raptor trade to justify the 5K add. I then waited a few days and sent him a follow up email and told him that I am going to keep my current truck and he sent back that they could come down off MSRP it price was simply the issue. Sorry but no thanks...how freaking hard is it to just be honest and have a freaking price! I will check and see if they still have the truck in 60 days and if they want to get closer to invoice instead of MSRP....^..^

With regards to people trying to defend the dealers, it’s like the wolf in sheep’s clothing. No defense on their part with regards to lying and deception. Anyways, thank you for sharing the beautiful views and making a great video. Good luck to you and your wife with the move. Enjoy driving the Lambo in San Diego.

    Spot on Brad. Great explanation of the sales funnel. Don’t worry about the people defending the dealer. They either work for one of these dealers or they are naive.

    This is why I appreciate dealers like Mullinax in Florida. I purchased four vehicles from them, I don’t think I ever spent more than an hour and a half at the dealership for each one. Same sales person every time too. Yes, it’s a no haggle dealership. But it’s a simplified business model that works. I never left out of there feeling like I got run over by a train.

    They dont give a shit. But, yesterday I found a way to get their attention. I went to McKinney Tx Dodge to trade my 2023 T/A 392 Sublime Challenger for a Jailbreak Hellcat on the lot. The Hellcat was stickered for $75K brand new. They offered me $40K for my T/A (Its stored in a climate controlled storage unit, under a cover, and it is flawless with 3500 miles. I didnt agree with the trade value, they didnt care. Then, I remembered all the add-on bullshit and warranties that I financed with the car (Road rash, GAP, Clear Coat protection, Service Contract, etc etc) all totaling nearly $6000. I went back in and asked if I could cancel those. Finance guy "had to go ask his manager". He said "Yes you can but I highly advise you not to". So long story short, I shit canned all of those extras which reduced my finance amount by $5900.
    If everyone calls their dealership and cancels ALL of those extras that they screwed you into buying, it will hit them in the wallet. Its as easy as a phone call.

    18:17 speaking of making your car disappear, a long, long time ago I was snookered by a Dodge dealership that took my car and wouldn't bring the keys back when I wanted to walk away from the deal. I was tired, hungry and not really thinking right and they were holding my car captive. I should have stood my ground and told them I was going to call the police and report them for kidnapping me because literally they were, but instead I bought the worst car of my life. Total lemon. Shame on me. 😞

But something happened between 2010 and 2023. The problem was when I tried to order a 2023 Hellcat Redeye. They acted like I was dirt under their feet they didn't care I was a loyal customer. I will NEVER buy any Stellantis product EVER. Brotherhood? Only if you overpay by a lot than you can be their friend. No thanks

    4:27 "don't ever sell your name for money don't ever sell your reputation for money" that is so true the Bible says "A man is only as good as his word" (proverbs 20:6)
    But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No. ' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one. (Matthew 5:37) so I totally agree with you once you break your word it and your name will never mean anything to anybody ever again it's worthless!! Great video brother

    This barely happened to me yesterday. A Dodge dealership had a 23 hellcat online listed at a 9,600 discount. When I called and got the ball rolling for the purchase with the salesman. A sales manager later called me saying that it shows a $9,600 discount because it is them removing the $10,000 markup that the car has 🤣 Then he says if i would of scrolled down the add. That it says in fine print that the vehicle price is subject to change due to mark up..... First time i ever got caught up in a bait and switch scam. Needless to say I told them nevermind on the car.

Their behavior on top of it was not professional at all (assuming they were not actual scammers). I get it you give new employees a chance, but that was kind of embarrassing. Be careful who you call

  • @markthompson2079
    @markthompson2079 Месяц назад

    No you were not out of line in that video. Granted she was doing what she was told to do. Not an excuse just the way it is sadly. Your not old enough to remember when Wall Street got lobbied Congress to get IRA s and all that crap. That changed the entire landscape of business for the worse. Companies then started to get greedy as they no longer had to have any loyalty to anyone. Without loyalty and integrity the entire landscape the world over went to crap.
    Now Dodge has a big role in this as they only care about money. Screw everything else we only care about money. By not removing that one dealer for doing things to women. Same for the other car makers in that group. Dodge only care about profit not anything the dealer or owners group does. It's sad but true. I've come to the conclusion that rebuilding a older vehicle is the only way to go. I can save on everything from insurance to parts to registration. Way to many dealers have taken the page from one of the big RV dealerships and now use their tactics. It's sad when a person thinks it's better to rebuild a older car than buy a new one. When that happens there's a lot of people who lose when that happens.

    *yawn* a lot of whining coming out of you. I get the "train of lies" and how wrong it is. But everyone has a choice. Even you. And you choose to whine.

      My sentiments exactly. At first I honestly thought he was kidding, but he keeps whining about a "handful" of almost 2K comments for a couple of minutes. He even took screenshots. What a crybaby.
