I dont think that we should ban assault weapons,only what need to be done is lower down mag capacity. Instead 20,30,40 rounds . 10 rounds max capacity for civilian use and sale. Firearms factory not supposed make mag for firearms stores larger then 10 round per magazine.

Those kids would still be dead, so would the people in Aurora, Vtech, and etc. All of the shooters did/would pass background checks. However, Newtown shooter took his mom's guns. Vtech shooter didn't use "large capacity" magazines, yet he killed the most people. None of the laws passed/debated would have prevented or stopped the shootings.
