Efficient subs that run on ~700w rms are so under rated. Reminds me of the old days. Now days you need 5k Watts just to tickle these SPL subs
So true.. i've got an old infinity reference 1230w in an diy enclosure tuned down to 26hz.. powered by an canton movie 125mx active subwoofer module.. its set on -12db/x-over at 60hz in combination with some heco victa 701 floorstandspeaker hooked on an t.amp e400 and thats all powered by an yamaha avr 765.. if i use true 50 to 60 Watts on that sub.. (rated Watts are between 100-250 watts) every door this house got, moves to the low frequencies.. cups and wie glasses are ratteling.. at least the entire house is moving a little bit.. my mum hates me so much for this build and a second sub is also in planing 😅

@@jacbybentril7114 at least.. one 12" ground zero reaches about 151db.. so you should overthink your build/setup
And those subs sound like crap too...weigh tons so gas mileage suffers and so does suspension and you need so much batteries to power properly. Efficiency is key.

I’m wired at .75 also. Big 3 and 2 agm in the back. Volt meter and clip meter.
@@ronnydisalvo80 those zvx should be tearing shit up. I’d check the box for leaks/breaks or check the tune on your amp.

Back in the 90s I had a 77 chevette. I folded down the back seat and it was filled with speakers and amps. I then had the bright yellow painted midnight blue. Had windows tinted black. When I'd get out at a store, I'd lock it with its alarm. People would look at me like wtf? Then I'd come back and get in, same thing.. Wtf.. Why does he have an alarm on that piece of shit car? Then I'd turn of my radio. Then their mind would be blown! Lol you could literally hear it for blocks. I was pulled over a few times by police for it being too loud. Plus I was playing stuff like 2 live crew and too short lol... Good times.

What does he mean by regulated power? I have a Honda as well but I guess I don’t know about the headlight trick.
It must programmed to kick the voltage up whenever a constant drain like headlights are turned on.
@@jay_shipes so what your saying is to keep my voltage up I should turn on my head lights when metering?
He's saying to turn them off when metering, when on it draws power for nothing to the head lights instead of the system, you'll notice if you don't have enough battery power if your lights flicker at night,
I think he said turn my head lights off to regulate the power.
@@Jay07745 when metering but he wasn’t metering. My Denali runs at 15.0-15.2volts when I have seat heaters running. But normally it stays 13.8-14.1 when they aren’t turned on. Reason I said what I said
@@scottbe1 get you a cigarette plug in volt meter for $10. You’ll be able to see if you’d car automatically ups the Hondas voltage when you turn your headlights on.

I see people saying these subs are efficient and all but how exactly is he running 3k on 700watts?
Probably doesn't have it turned up all the way? Either that or quality subs. I'm pushing around 800 watts on some 200 watt subs, only reason they sound iffy is because they are punch H2s from like 2002 so you can hear the wear. But they still sound clean as hell and everybody says it.

Box is sealed not ported plus sealed to the cab. There's plenty of air cushion in that box. He could prob run two of those amps as long as it's tuned right. Used to run 2 kicker comps in a sealed box like this. 300 watt peak each with a Rockford 1500 on each lol. Took it all day.
