Thank you for the tip on doctoring the Cheapest Nato Straps MN straps. I have 4 of them and haven’t found a good way to wear them the way they come. Much better using your method to fix it!
I'm wearing my new cheapestnatostraps paratrooper today myself, sand with the red stripe on a Timex Expedition I haven't worn for ages but looks great, I've received 10 new straps in the last week & there's another 5 in the post, it's a problem. I'd not heard of Watch Steward before I may have to sample those too. Cheers for the excellent content.
awesome stuff! would you ever consider doing a tutorial on how to re-construct and sew the cheapestnatostraps MN's to match how Erika's is constructed? I have a stock of ~12 "MN" straps I bought from cheapestnatostraps but havent worn them at all because of the funky hardware placements.
This was great! I'm starting to really dig nato straps, but elasticated ones in particular as of late. I enjoy my single pass ones, and my Erika MN style ones (from strapco I think?), but really liked seeing types of straps I was unaware of. Loved the ones that add no thickness to watch. By the way, have you tried the Zuludiver Octopod system? The deployant clasp with a single pass elastic strap looks pretty slick. Just got mine and it wears great. Bit of a pain to size up though.
I really don't like the design of that CNS Marine Nationale. It's not secure like the "original" design, and if that latch comes off, you lose the watch. I actually have one and was disappointed with it. Modding it like you did, would not take me "a few minutes" lol. I just ordered an Erika's.

I wear a 5610 on an MN strap at soccer practice and it's nicely secure. If it was an skx or something heavy like that, it would probably move around. I wear a Timex r300 for jogging.
I feel for great dependable quality, comfort, customization, and most importantly, a perfect fit. Erika's originals are #1

Thanks man, glad it helped. The 36mm is a custom build I did in an alpha explorer eta 2824 case.
