How do you use a world timer bezel on a non gmt 12 hour watch?

Are the stainless steel and titanium bracelets interchangeable for those two watches? Meaning if you put the titanium bracelet on the stainless steel watch, will the color and finishing be close enough? Or would it look obvious that it’s a metal mismatch?

I saw one and tried it on in a shop today. It looks like a child’s toy or a woman’s watch. I couldn’t get over the size. After feeling emasculated trying it on😂, it just felt wrong for a guy to wear it. Maybe it just looks unusual for a diver to be this small, & had to pass on this one.

Aside from this one feeling flimsy and looking cheap (hard to explain, in person mine does look and feel cheap): WHY did Timex use a 60 click bezel? 24 hours and 1/2 hour and 1/4 hour sub-divisions do not fit into 60 clicks. They should have used a 96 click bezel, or at least a 48 click one. There are even time-zones that jump in 15 minute increments, like in Australia, so 96 is really what a GMT needs. AliExpress watches are not perfect, but they mostly use 120 click bezels, not perfect, but a LOT better than this Timex. With 2-1/2 clicks per hour, it only lines up with the 12 even hours, if you want to use it for time-zone tracking, which makes it USELESS as a GMT watch, period. With that bezel, the 200 dollar MSRP (or RRP in UK) is ludicrous. I got mine for 60 bucks at Jomashop, and with that bezel, I have no love for it. I am keeping it as a reminder to NOT nuy another Timex.

Shown a watch, 3 straps, a bracelet, pouch, and gave all specs, key points, and numerous wrist shots all under 6 mins! 👏 I've owned the 147 for years and it's been one of my favorite timepieces. I've primarily worn it on the OEM bracelet, but I came across this video because I'm thinking about picking up the z199. And after viewing this, I'm going to do it. Also, I'm shocked, I loved seeing this on leather. Something about that shade of brown just worked. 👌 Thanks!

Forcing the patina is not a good idea, it is uneven and not corrosion resistant as a patina should be. The acid (lemon, vinegar, tomato juice etc.) used to force a patina favors verdigris, the bronze disease and not the beautiful green patina. This creates copper acetate and accelerates this process. It makes it more susceptible to corrosion and no longer resistant over time

I disagree. I have a CWC RN300. The case and crown on that MWC looks less refined. The handset on my CWC is larger than the MWC. Better bezel action, too. I’m sure the MWC is a decent watch, but that ain’t no quality CWC. I prefer my CWC’s milspec fixed bars over the MWC’s cheap spring bars.

Just to add, the Doxa 300T retails for $2000 but can be bought for $1,850 USD. I have the orange dial Seestern and it can be purchased on Aliexpress for $100. Major difference. The bracelet first link from the case width is also a major turn off. I was going to buy a Doxa 300T but bought the Seestern instead and I'm good.

It's still too small on your 7.25" wrist. It's a diver and not a dress watch. Seiko was right to bring it out in 40mm I think. A more modern format.

The spring tool they gave you is a great extra. I have two 1200’s that I put the adapters on.

I have 3 Seikos and 2 are field watches. SRPG27K1 +15 SPD and SNK381K1 -15/-20 SPD. My SRPE03 King Turtle is the worst at+20/+30 spd. Seikos have reliability, but movement accuracy is a disappointment. I moved on to Hamilton Khaki, with surprising great accuracy with every purchase. I'll only buy a Seiko field watch only grey market and on sale. It's best to waite for the hype and price to settle down. It will soften the blow of the awful movement accuracy out of the box.

Are you sure the MWC is true tritium applied lume? Older pre 1999 dials with tritium paint is a mixture of radioactive infused gas H3 tritium in a powder form mixed with zinc sulfide to create the constant glow. It is the radioactive tritium bombarding the zinc sulfide that results in the glow. Unlike older and much hotter Radium used on watches prior to around 1963, tritium was an "agreed effort" by the Swiss watch companies to reduce radioactive exposure to the wearer so they switched to the lower radioactive Tritium compound which has a half life of 12.5 years and 20 years or so latter would be near fully depleted. Keep in mind the 12.5 years is only the half life so technicaly it would be 24 or so until fully inactive but there is no set time however would be almost dead looking by now only only visible after your eyes adjust to the dark for several minutes and would not take a charge from a light source like luminova\superluminova and hold it. Keep in mind I am not speaking of modern tritium tubes though it utilizes the same principles but encapsulated in a tube instead. Most Swiss companies switched to luminove\superlminove from Tritium around 1998 - 1999. If this reissue MWC 1999 -2000 were true tritium, it would be nowhere near as bright as shown. The benefit of tritium is it needs no external light source to charge up hiowever it's nowhere near supperluminova in brightness after a light charge. I have a 90's Submariner and GMT and can see the tritium lume but after several minutes in the dark after my eyes adjust but it's faint. I am fasinated with tritium applied lume and while today's watch companies will no longer use it (unless it is in encapsulated form like Ball and other companies, incuding MWC uses), I'd love to get my hands on a fresh one to see how bright they really were when new.
