I like Mankey the best. The Watch Steward, depending on the size of your wrist, and where the hardware winds up, can be bulky looking. The Mankey has a more streamlined look and feel. Another bonus for the Mankey, the hardware is covered by the band, so if anything makes contact with a surface, it's the band, not the metal buckle. Erika's is good if you're going for a more military look. Also, you have to not mind the band going under the watch and adding significant thickness. If you get Erika's, make sure to tell her that you want the hardware to be inside the wrist. Otherwise, it could be on the side of the wrist, which is not a good look, or comfortable in many cases.

Nice! You should try a luffwatchstrap G2 which is the same as EO but the cost is 25$ and nothing to say more! The quality is super good and it has a very solid nylon. I have a EO and a luffwatchstrap and honestly, if you don’t look at the hardware, you can’t even say which one is the EO :)

After spending over $400 over the years from Erika, I now buy mine from Aliexpress for under $10 delivered. Erika gets her material from China and I have both, and it is a 100% match. Aliexpress has all the colors and I am satisfied with my purchases.

Honestly I think they all get their fabric from China. I’ve seen the same fabric thewatchsteward uses on Etsy for $3 a yard.

Erika makes own fabric with high tech device originally designed for knitting artificial veins. So not from china.

This is the first that I've heard of elastic straps, quite interesting. While I'd like to support American manufacturers, my bank account needs the support even more. I just browsed Aliexpress and ordered 2 for less than any of these. Still grateful for your video and a Like.
Btw, I've heard of enthusiasts who are interested in only a certain type of watch, but all from one brand? You are indeed a Seikopath! ;)

Hopefully you like the ones from AliExpress, I hear they aren’t that good and yes I love Seiko. They have everything I love in a watch but I do love to mod as well.

Awesome video! Can you do an update with watch steward g-series straps? And maybe even their TDM line? I'm especially interested in seeing the g-series compared to the minimalist.

Thanks for the review. Quick question. If you were headed to Europe for vacation, going to places where pick pocketing is well documented, along with watch theft. Which of these would you feel would keep your watch safest? Any other suggestions for straps that would keep the watch safe? The watch I am looking at taking is a Coros Vertix 2. It has a HR monitor on it so I need something that will allow the watch back to be open. Thanks! Also, I will be wearing it in the ocean for some swimming.

From what Kevin the owner told me from all the complaints about the branding he has now removed it on his newer straps. I personally don’t mind it.

TheTimeKeeper I just checked the site again, and all images show the branding on the products still. I pulled up one, and its description still touts a laser-etched logo on the buckle. Regardless, I’ve gone with Nick Mankey’s much more subtly-branded straps

I don't really understand, you are comparing the msrp price of a strap to the price of a car after taxes. If you had to pay the same taxes on this strap it would be $200. Does that sound good to you?
