  • A quick and dirty step-by-step installation guide for the all-new Tether Module. This attachment can be installed onto any pre-existing "Fixed Bar Compatible" Hook Strap™, and serves to retain one's timepiece in the event of a spring bar failure. It can be "toggled" on or off, and is entirely removable if so desired. Because as they say, "A Tether a day keeps Murphy away." 😉

Nick, hope all is well. I sent a couple e-mails over the past few months regarding an order I made back in September 2022 and just wanted to see if you were receiving them. My order was about 5 months ago at the time of this writing. Thanks!

Can you give me a recommendation of which strap I should get? I just recently purchased a watch and this is the first time I've ordered a watch strap.

Hey! Exciting stuff! And you came to the right place. But I would need a few more details for context: What size strap does your watch take (width in mm)? Does it have removable spring bars? Are you looking for a more casual use or hard use strap? Let me know!

@@nickmankeydesigns I believe it is 18mm and that the spring bars are removable. I have the Citizen Eco Drive Weekender Garrison Field Watch.

As for the type of band I want, I want one that is sturdy and lasts for a very long time since I am probably going to wear it everywhere. I'm actually considering getting two so that I can wear one casually (gym, school, activities) and another for important events (meetings, formal events). I do want both to be very sturdy and comfortable though, since I am just going to be using these bands for as long as they hold out.

@@eyot.9246 Cool piece! Given your requirements, I would definitely recommend building a strap from my latest PRO series elastics here: nickmankeydesigns.com/shop/hook-strap-pro-stainless-steel-elastic-watch-band
OD Green would look incredible! And black would be a safe, all-rounder choice for meetings and such :)

What is the point of the tether? What does safety on mean?

I demonstrate near the end of the video that when a spring bar fails (or ejects), the strap will remain "tethered" to your wrist.

@@nickmankeydesigns Sorry, but I work hard enough already. The last thing I want is to have to work harder for a watch strap change! In a world of quick release straps you are moving in the wrong direction. 😂

@@rfern263 If you're referring to the Tether piece, it is completely optional. Otherwise, the Fixed Bar strap you see in the video can literally be installed like a single pass nato, no tools required!
