Sounds like you’re more concerned about packaging than you are the actual products. The more they spend on packing the more you spend and usually doesn’t reflect at all on the actual product.
While I’d say that your point is true regarding costs on packaging being a trade off on the products themselves, I do believe the overall disparity in quality across these particular bands is fairly low save for a one or two. I also feel there is a value in the positive mental psychology that packaging can provide when products are close or nearly equal - which in this case was the difference of a band coming in a generic yellow mailer and one coming in some form of branded packaging. While the bands may be equal, the packaging definitely makes me “feel” one might be a more premium product. I’d change my opinion if I was ordering something from Etsy of course, where I’d assume the lack of more presented packaging would feed into “handmade” aspect of the product but that isn’t the case here. Full disclosure - I am also someone appreciates graphic design (which would include packaging design) so I am undoubtedly going to place a higher level of value on this aspect than others might. While it sounds like my video may have not help aided you in a decision, I appreciate the feedback and if I do another similar video in the future I’ll definitely be more upfront on my ratings. Best nato I have is Bark&Jack. Hands down can’t beat it. So comfortable and fantastically made.
Thanks for the video. Only the first 3 collums are relevant to me so I'll be going with the Barton.
You forgot to check length and thickness. Thick natos make watches look silly because all the fabric is stiff and won't conform to the wrist. Short natos suck because well...... they just don't look good. Archer is also a good brand to check out, I like them cause they are thin, about 1.2mm thick, and have good overall length.
Also depends on the watch though. For instance, I have a thicker heavy duty ballistic nylon nato on my Panerai and it looks great whereas a slimmer one just would work in terms of functionality for it.

If you want a particular colour or size sometimes thats a determining factor as well. I absolutely desired a dark green nato so went for the once will because they make a stunning dark green nato..
Thanks for a great video! To me Wornikoff is the winner with higher than 3 rating for comfort. Personally I think comfort, buckle & keepers and build quality are the most important - in that order.
I’ve tried several brands and keep coming back to BluShark. I’ve been wearing them for about eight years with no issues. I prefer their heavier fabrics over the thinner seatbelt fabric. I mostly wear a Seiko turtle with them but also some other watches. I feel they offer excellent value, have a good selection of fabrics. They also have a three for the price of two offer and frequently offer other discounts.

Speidel is a well known Watch Band Company - been around for years! Twist-o-Flex was one of their Popular lines for Years!! It is pronounced “Spy - Dell” not “speedily”. I worked at Carl’s Diamond Brokerage / Carl’s Fine Jewelry inHigh School. We Carried Speidel and Kreisler Wtach Bands, Bracelets, Miscellaneous Leather, Alligator, and other Luxury Straps! You are correct on the pronunciation of the name. The first thing my Dad would do when he purchased a watch was to put a Speidel Twist-O-Flex on it.
I bought the Oncewill and put an old Omega buckle on it. It sure seems close to me.
I always go with the "Bond" type NATO (Black, Red, and Green)
Nice review I did the same comparing all 2 brands on Amazon from blue shark premium $32 and Ritchie premium $14,99 in the end the $14.99 ritchie premium NATO was the best identical and better highly recommended .
Does the Workinoff and OnceWill have the same thickness?
The word (Speidel) is pronounced SPY-del, per the company and their advertisements years ago.

TStrap nato band on Amazon looks like a great strap also. Ordered one but didn't fit. ( my watch was at fault not the band)
Currently waiting on an adapter and when it arrives Ill be buying another tstrap.

I've had several, and my best 2 were zuludiver and crown & buckle. C&B are the best imo, at 34 bucks incredibly premium.
I've had blushark, but the strap is a bit shorter than I prefer.

Have two of oncewill. They have really good customer service, but both edges fray badly. They are my "dress natos"

The packaging rating artificially affects the results, as it does not relate to the quality of the strap. The packaging just increases environmental waste, as it gets discarded. It is nice to get a microfiber cloth, but in the end cost, comfort, looks and quality of the strap is what really matters.
Personally I like only single pass straps, I cut the extra fabric on double pass straps. A watch looks a lot better without all that bunching on the side of the wrist. Only way it would look ok, is on someone with a very large wrist
Anyway nice roundup. Now in 2024 many straps are available for less from CNS and Aliexpress
I wish watch straps would come without the holes. I'ld rather punch one hole myself for the perfect fit. Eventually two extra holes, one above and one under the right size. Who needs 12 or more holes in a strap? That is ridiculous.
If it has a buckle with a spring bar it isn’t NATO it is Nato Style.
The ritchie and the pbcode gave you all those extra parts and tools..and you only gave it a 1 or 2 for extras..wtf
Hi Jay C many apologies if you don't agree with my assessment. It's all subjective, personal preferences and opinions, so I can definitely see where some folks would say they both were deserving of a 3. In my defense, while both brands/manufacturers gave me a bunch of extras, the category also included packaging which I wasn't very impressed by (again, my opinion)... though if I did award half-points I would have given the Ritche a 2.5. I probably weighted the packaging more heavily (for myself) as if you've been a "watch guy" or "watch gal" long enough, you've probably collected enough spring bar tools, spring bars, and cleaning cloths that you literally have no use for them. You could say the same about packaging being just as worthless but I think receiving a band in a nice package adds more to perceived value of that product than if I were to receive it in a plastic sleeve, or in the case of PBCode, a yellow bubble mailer. But honestly, the difference between the "winner" here is only a 1 point spread... which honestly makes us all winners since it shows you can obtain a fairly nice NATO for a fairly economical price (from Amazon). Hopefully viewers saw this "cagematch" for what is was, a fun way to compare these bands without getting super serious! Which ever band you opt for - hope the video help even slightly in that decision and that you're happy wearing it around! Be well.

Lame and very flawed. You pick the winner based on the packaging which has nothing to do with quality, how well it will wear, or how well it will last. You have two other choices that are all 3's in the areas that count. You pick the winner based on a cardboard box and 10 cents worth of cloth. The only winner here are the people who haven't wasted 17 mins of their life watching this useless video. Do you buy your watches and cars based on how they come packed too?

Why so commanding (borderline rude)? Maybe Bevelwerks doesn't speak German. He gave us a nice comparison review of quite a few nato strap options and that's what matters most. It's okay not to know the correct pronunciation for some of the names.
