Well done video even with the frame...don't pay attention to those with the negative comments, some people just have nothing else better to do than to try to make others feel bad. I can't wait to try your recipe, just need to buy the white beans. Thanks for sharing 😊
@bort5529 thank you for your kind words 😊 I hope you like the dish. It doesn’t look like much but everything changes with the basil & garlic mix. It’s like going from caterpillar to butterfly 🙂
Greeting from New Zealand. What an organized lady - I hate watching peeling and cutting. Your soup looks delicious. I must try it. Thank you for sharing.
@user-lc4pp1lr7x thank you! I think the video goes a bit quicker without the chopping plus most of the time I cut myself 😅 Do try it and let me know if you liked it.
What a wonderful recipe. Can't wait to try this. I lived 4 years in Naples Italy and have had this soup before, usually at a Trattoria. Thank You and I have subscribed.
@user1233002 thank you! It was among the many recipes my mum had and since I’ve cooked it, it has become a winter favorite. The basil oil mix gives it an extra something. Let me know how it went. 😊
Very nice recipe tutorial on a superbly delicious dish. Nice cat in the background, too. Oh that garlic basil oil looked so delicious! I know it smelled good. Very nice bowl of soup, well done! All I need now is a chunk of crusty bread and a piece of parmesan. Thanks for sharing! Please post more often :)
@RivetGardener thank you! I now have a website where I’m posting recipes but with work and a family it gets difficult to post often. I hope you try this recipe. We are having it today! 😁 I hope you are keeping well. ☀️
@debragreen7272 let me know how it comes out if you make it and hope you like it. Of course, as I always say: add or remove ingredients to your liking. 😊❤️
@grannyarkue9199 thank you! It should work fine without the oil. The basil & garlic should still give a good flavour to the stew. Let me know how it went once you try it, please. ☀️
@clairewyndham1971 you could use thyme. It goes well with beans but not sure if the thyme-garlic mix would match. You can omit it altogether but the flavour won’t be the same. ☀️
Savory! Paired with garlic great for beans. Summer savory is more delicate, winter savory more pungent. Both very good, especially fresh from the garden.
@marymclaughlin2559 My cousin got me that cutting board. The make is Zeal and I believe she got it from Amazon. Although I’m sure that if you Google it, it may come up with other places to buy from. Hope you like the recipe! 😊
@annwhatley3842 I’m glad. It was buried with another big lot of recipes in the kitchen at my mum’s house. Makes me happy to have brought it out of the dust and shared it and happier that someone likes it too 😊❤️
@@shirleyspadorcio6182 I haven't tried it yet but when I do, I am going to put enough in to cover the beans and probably about 4 cups more to compensate for boiling and evaporation.
Spanish recipe with no-olive oil ? Is it some kind of "metamodern" nightmare ? A Greek friend, Demetrios Maniates. (friend of Spanish and any cuisine of the World)
@user-zh7bn1cv6v Hi Demetrios, thank you for pointing this out. I just realised I have not mentioned the type of oil used for the garlic and basil mix. It is indeed olive oil. I use avocado or coconut oil for frying and olive oil for anything “en crudo”. I’ll amend the ingredients to show it is olive oil. Sometimes my brain malfunctions 😅I love your “metamodern nightmare” comment by the way.
@janicebarker3695 people complained that they had to pause the video to see the ingredients so, for some time now, they are in the description box so you can check them and watch the video at the same time. Alternatively, you can go to my website thespaniardskitchen.com and print the recipe, watch the video and read a little story about the dish. Hope this helped 🙂
Plse less comments and more directive cooking instructions like Low heat etc.....and how long Pretty please 🙏 I loved your recipe but with your video I don't think I can make it as well as it should be😊
@spaaggetii my latest videos no longer have it. Back at the time I thought it was a good idea to frame the image. Now I just let everything look as if you were with me in the kitchen. ☀️
Cat in the kitchen whilst you’re cooking! Edit: even the cat’s litter is there what a smell could be there! Gross 🤢 and 😮Not hygienic! I wouldn’t be your guest, sorry.
Apparently you have never had pets. Cats and dogs are in every room, whether they are there when you cook is essentially irrelevant, they have been there. And if you don’t like my cat or dog you won’t be at my house anyway, you would not get an invitation.
@@derjaeger3321 you’re wrong, we used to have cats, dogs but they were never allowed to enter in the kitchen so I know what I’m talking no need to lecture me about hygiene hun! Pets under no circumstances should ever stay/ enter/ keep / eat in the kitchen area! full sop.
Yeah, we don't do animals in the kitchen-area either; however, some people invite them in, allow them to walk on the counters, lick the spoons & taste the bowls! VeryNasty!
@kommonsense4508 “judías blancas estofadas” is a common dish in Spain which is cooked in many different ways depending on the area. Some add peppers, some don’t. Some add pimentón, some don’t. This one is cooked this way. Others will be cooked a different way. Everything is relative.

What size tins (Cans)? Do you rinse them or leave them with the juice?
@J.M.Chadwick6 I use normal ones which I believe are 400grs. I rinse them and then I cook them. 🙂

How much water did you add to the pot?

Did you use falafel beans
@Davidmccartyy6445 I used a mix of butter beans and cannellini beans.
❤️👍
Did you use canned beans or dry?

Thks a million for sharing your Mummy recipe❤
I am sure it must taste good but the amount of oil in a soup is alarming, you can see the layer in the finished product. 🤔
@Mulknwan you can omit the oil if you want. I believe it still be equally good without the oil if that is what you choose 🙂
So use less! Are you an infant who can't think for themselves?

Why do you have a white rectangle outline? It is very annoying.
