These are really good! I like that you purée some of the chickpeas, as it helps with the texture of canned chickpeas. My favorite method of eating is scooping up the curry with freshly made pita chips.
Please do yourself a favour and cook your chickpeas in a pressure cooker and not use the canned ones. You will never eat canned ones again, once you feel the bite of a properly, pressure cooked chickpea.
Fry some chopped Onion (200g) in some oil, add 1 tbsp of garlic and 1 tbsp of ginger once the onion is golden, add some chopped chilli peppers (optional), 1 tbsp of cumin, ground coriander, paprika and 1 tsp of turmeric; add a little water water to the whole mix and keep stirring; add 3 tomatoes (blended or a can of passata); add seasoning and cook in low heat for 5 mins. Now, add 1 cup of cooked/canned Chickpeas, 1 cup of water and 60g of yogurt to a blender and blend it. Add that to the sauce in the pot that has been cooking. Add another cup of cooked/canned chickpeas to the sauce and cook it for another few minutes. Add some fresh coriander (about 1/4 cup). Melt 30g of butter is a separate pan, add a little paprika or chilli powder if you like it spicy and stir. Drizzle that on top of the previously cooked sauce and chickpeas and decorate it with some more fresh coriander. Serve it with some white Basmati rice or simple white rice or alternatively, with some mash potato. You're welcome

Great recipe. Looks delicious. We would recommend fresh boiled chick peas,, not canned. It's preboiled, means many of the nutrients have degenerated and with preservatives added, which are not so good for health. Also, when cooking food products with protein, such as peas, milk, meat, fish, eggs, etc. use only one at a time. The human digestive system has different ways to process protein depending on the food product, particularly dairy products. So, in this case, only chick peas is enough. Dairy products should be consumed alone, never mixed. These suggestions stem from the Ayurvedic approach to health.
Hilarious to talk with such apparent authority about health and nutrition, and in the same paragraph talk about dairy, eggs etc. good luck with your heart disease

Beautiful recipe and beautiful presentation. I loved the touch of nature thrown into it. It made all the difference in the world, and the beauty of the dishes and the grace with which you did it. I would call it: "cooked by an angel"
I made this dish. Very good, flavorful. Served it with some brown Basmati rice. Made one adjustment. Used smoked paprika powder with the butter. Very good. One large jalapeno de-seeded and de-stemmed. Just a little kick. One question: does this recipe have a name? Thank you for sharing.
Yes I did. It might seem a lot but the recipe can handle it. At the end I melted the butter and used half a tbsp of smoked paprika powder instead of regular (sweet) paprika powder. If you think it’s too spicy you can add some extra liquid but I don’t think that’s needed. Good luck 👍 with making it and enjoy your dinner. I served it with brown rice btw.

Love the recipe - thank you. Thank you also for the brief recipe in the text below. I was able to watch the video looking at your written words adding a few more for myself for when I cook it. I was intrigued how you appeared to grate the ginger, I will have to try this next time. Brilliant job done all round, than you.
Your comment is full of truth. Spot on!
Now adding some potatoes or peas or tofu, then served with rice. Perfect.
Gostei muito deste vídeo, porque não vi o gourmet descascando nada , já assistir tudo picadinho e as explicações das quantidades, achei prático e uma delícia de ver. Obrigada.❤
Did you use a whole tablespoonful of each spice except turmeric? TIA
