3 Minute Liquid Dough, Garlic Flatbread :: No-yeast, No-kneading, Quick and Easy :: Garlic Naan

- *** Please refer to the TIP at the bottom of the expected questions.
I made flatbread easily without kneading and fermenting the dough.
It is a simple method that can be completed in 3 minutes by adding a few ingredients and stirring.
The inside is moist and the outside is chewy, and the savory taste is really good with garlic and green onions.
It's really delicious when you dip it in curry.
You can add salad ingredients and roll it like a burrito,
You can use it in various dishes like tortillas.

*** Measurements are scales (g), rice spoons (Tbsp), teaspoons (tsp) (not measuring spoons)
[6 sheet]
✤ Ingredients
- 200g All-purpose flour
- 3g (1tsp) Salt
- 3g (1tsp) Sugar
- 10g (1Tbsp) Melted unsalted butter
- 18g (1Tbsp) Minced garlic
- 25g (2.5Tbsp) Chopped green onion
- 380ml Water
✤ Tips
- I explained it in detail in the video, but the most important thing is to control the heat to make the bread rise.
- Preheat over medium heat, cook over medium low heat, and when a small air layer starts to form, increase the heat to medium heat.
- You can think of it as baking at the strongest temperature that will not burn.
- After eating, refrigerate the leftovers and reheat them in a pan to make them the same as before.

we are broke.. no money to buy bread for my kids. but had some AP left in the pantry and found this video! it has been a saviour! breakfast has been sorted!
Do you have a garden to grow vegetables? If not Tubs and buckets work for carrots and potatoes, and will give the children an incentive and feeling of usefulness and self reliance! Carrot tops and many other veggies regrow if you sit in water to root.😉🙏
Its amazing what you can make with what literally looks like nothing in your cupboards. We ate plant based for a couple years and found it so much cheaper and easier. Got a can of chickpeas.?. chickpea curry it is and we felt so much better.
Looks delish. Seems to be time-consuming.
making your own yogurt is incredibly easy as well and a time saver, i promise. 1 gallon of milk goes such a long way and its lots of protein to have on the side of this or any meal.
@@sugakent4052 This will only regrow carrot tops though - not the actual carrot. Spring onion root ends are worth doing this with though.
Thank you very much! Looks yummy....yet to make. Hope this helps your viewers.
FLATBREAD GARLIC 3MIN LIQUID DOUGH
200g all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1T minced garlic
2.5 T finely chopped green onion
1T (10g) melted unsalted butter
Mix all ingredients
Slowly add 380ml water to adjust amount as necessary. Mix well until no lumps.
Finish with flowing consistency. Heat up pan over medium heat.
Ladle into fry pan, drawing a circle on top spreading batter out.
Turn over, gently press edges. Keep turning over an over and pressing all the time.
When air pockets form increase the heat to create larger air pockets - keep patting - turn frequently to spread the heat evenly.
Pat the air pockets gently to keep it puffing out “eating air and feeling full”. (It puffs up pretty much entirely).
Move to plate. Continue with next flatbread, stacking as you go.
Thank👍💛 you. This really helps
Many thanks 😊
🥰😘
I didn't get the swelling 😢
Thank you!
I tried this today it looked delicious and easy. I do not like waiting for dough to rise and then the rolling, it is so much effort. This took me awhile not going to lie but i can see this taking 15-20 min easily. I did all my other preparation while waiting to flip the bread so i can see this working well if timed correctly. I am in Canada and the medium temperature was not enough on my electric stovetop. I am positive it would be different in a gas burner. It took awhile to figure out because i did not want to burn it. For those with an electric stove crank it up to nearly maximum just don't forget to flip it a little more often. Non of mine bubbled till the last one because by then i had it on maximum. I did end up useing a lid to help contain some heat as the gradual increase in temperature wasn't doing anything till i got to maximum. I am a vegetarian so i appreciate a no egg recipe. I will attempt this again soon now that i have practice. This will be great for soft tacos! Thank you very much Namaste 🙏
No yeast, no kneading... Perfect! I'll definitely try.
Finally something easy and fast that doesn't need rolling out and rising. Thank you
Exactly! I will try this recipe.
yes something that i could do everyday
Tried twice..both times they came out awful.Never puffed and they were CRISPY. Hope yours come out nice.
Also tried a few times and only a couple puffed up but when they cooled they aren’t puffed up anymore. A little too gummy.
@@mackiceicukice I just made them 2 days ago, BUT I used flour that expired in 2015 I think. What is there to go bad?
I made about 7, also no green onions here so I added some dried basil instead.
Mine never puffed up either, never separated one side from the other. I added some baking powder to the batter after the first 3 of them. They didn't get crispy, maybe sort of chewy, like they maybe didn't get cooked all the way through.
I was hungry and ate them anyway. I saved the leftovers in the fridge and still have one left. Reheating in my toaster oven seemed fine.
Mine were soft and flexible, but I think they were supposed to be lighter. Did you cook them on medium? Maybe yours were too hot? I DID need to oil the pan well before I put the batter in the pan though.
Indian here. Although this is not exactly naan, its something we refer to as a Chilla. Ofc you can use a ton of different flours, chopped veggies and fillings as per your liking, it will still taste amazing.
Thanks! 👍
Thanks 👍
Thank you for suggesting we can use several different flours, normalhuman6260. I can't eat wheat any more, so I will try a mixture of besan and cassava flour tomorrow. This is promising!
Can you suggest any non gluten flours that we might try? Wheat is no longer my friend.
Looks like roti - thin flat bread - made much larger , and used to make curried goat roti

Absolutely amazing recipe. Solves my problem of searching for one delicious yet easy to make bread. 👍No need to knead and shape with a rolling pin. Much quicker and more efficient to make flat bread. Thanks a lot sharing. 🥰
This is brilliant. No need to knead and shape with a rolling pin. Much quicker and more efficient to make flat bread. Thanks a lot sharing. 🥰
El sabor muy rico. Pero no sé inflaron
In india south we call it boli. North calls it Cheela. We do exactly the same but add turmeric to this and green chillies. Tastes heavenly.
Who cares what you do in India.
What about chapati? What is the difference?
@@AmarnaNeuroart Chapati is made out of kneaded flour and rolled into a disc. Cheela is made using liquid dough with chopped veggies, like an omelette.
While we got some experts in the house, what would a folded heavily fried piece of thin 'bread' be from an Indian takeway??
I found the answer just now as Paratha
@@TheKruxed idk if its folded but i think you mean the north indian deep fried bread 'Puri' (when made with whole wheat) or 'Bhatura' (when made with refined flour)..if its folded its probably 'naan' which is not fried though.
I have tried to make various flatbreads, this is by far is my favorite! I made a batch which were immediately eaten, then doubled the recipe and made it all the same day. Also I found half green onion + half corriander to be an amazing combination. The texture is awesome! Strong enough to hold together any wrap securely, yet tender, moist and absolutely delicious. It also has a very pleasing mouth feel...not dry or oily, just fresh and wonderful. In a word...LOVE! Thank you!
Did it puff up ?
I might try this for supper 😊
Looks yummy I try this recipe this weekend Thanks for sharing
Thanks, love the simplicity of it - and the universality: Tortillas in Mexico, rotis in India (not really naan, though), coconut rotis in Sri Lankha, gozleme in the Middle East... etc.
There are versions of this in every country and culture. and they all are wonderful.
Muy cierto acá en Argentina le decimos panqueques o crepés, aunque es con huevos,y se rellena con dulce o salado según se prefiera
De todas maneras el agregar sabor con ajo y cebolla es muy buena idea👍
It's just called flat bread, with different styles
Gözleme , Türkiye'ye ait bir tarif.aslında daha farklı yapılışı var. 🙂❤️🇹🇷
Flour is truly universal
We tried this using the limited tools we had on hand and here are some tips:
1. You need a silicone spatula. I only had a metal one and a silicone mixing spatula (for baking) using a metal one is hard because it tends to ruin the dough which needs delicate flipping
2) you need a WIDE nonstick pan. Unfortunately I only had a medium sized one with high edges. You need either a crepe pan or a low edge nonstick pan for this, particularly a wide one if you want to make bigger ones. My medium size one could only make one as big as a taco (when folder) because of the difficulty of flipping/maneuvering with the high sides.
3) have the patience to keep flipping, it takes time for it to bubble.
4) make sure there is enough oil but not too much
5) make sure the middle is slightly thicker than the edges, or just make sure the edges are not thicker than the middle to get that perfect middle that will bubble
6) this is not a recipe for impatient people.
Thank you so much!
Thank you for the notes! This is very helpful.
You do NOT need... a silicone spatula, or a WIDE nonstick pan. I used a stainless spatula on a 10.5" stainless pan without any issues.
You don't need any extra tools, this is one of the simplest and easiest bread recipes in the world, it can be cooked on any frying pan and turned with any tools available.
@@2Bullies i was using an 8 inch one with almost 3 inch sides so you're being a pain in the ass know-it-all assuming my situation, my steel spatula is wide enough that it occupies half of my pan so shut yer yap
I'll make it with the oat flour and ground flax seeds. Thank you for this generous sharing❤
I was skeptic, but it turns out nice. Thanks for the detailed tips on the heat management🌴
I didn't have green onion, so I made them without. After the first batch, prepared double portion, and we devoured them with red chili sauce and avocadoes. In the second batch, I decided to use immersion blender to get more homogenous texture of the dough. Also, I experimented with ghee instead of butter. Came out both ways delicious!!! Go ahead guys! Great recipe!!!
omg I can't wait to try
Nunca había visto unas tortillas que le llamaren pan
@@rosalialopez2709 Siempre se aprende algo nuevo!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Me salieron deliciosas. La próxima vez voy a agregar chipotle a la masa. Saludos desde Mexico!
That's really interesting. Did the immersion blender make a chewier dough? or was there no difference? I imagine the blade beating it would develop a ton of gluten and give it a wonderful chew
I think I would add a bit of cumin and cayenne pepper instead of the garlic and spring onion.
See, THIS is a quick bread! Even when people are like, "Yeah, here's a quick and simple bread recipe" there's still like 27 steps or whatever. Love this
takes an hour too cook all of them
@@OlaNordmann123 Wasn't really my point though, was more just the lack of dough handling/dividing etc (plus I used two pans to half the time 🙂)
I hate that shit lol and they always have the veggies chopped already or products prepped, adding time to a strict schedule.
@@sheriffkimbo Okay :)

Made it, and it's delicious and easy! I had a cup of leftover grated sharp cheddar, so I tossed it in, and it works pretty well. I had to tweak the consistency and amount of batter in each naan, but that was easy to do as time went on. I'll be making these for the family again!
I love your videos and cooking style, so perfect. I have tried many of your dishes and they all turn out wonderful and my husband loves them! Thank you for perfect videos and delicious food!

Looks appetizing! Thanks for showing to us its preparation.
Best done with 3 pans. One for the first cooks on either side. Second and third to puff. Most people will want at least three, so a family of five is fifteen pieces. Awesome recipe, just be organized. Just did it with a braised lamb curry and let me tell you, so good.
This looks amazing and so much simpler than other recipes I’ve looked at. Many thanks for sharing 🙏
It appears more soft and pliable than roti or naan, and more delicate than a tortilla. I love naan, it’s my favorite, and tortillas made fresh. This looks like a great idea and I’m going to try it!
I think it would make a nice alternative to a tortilla. Can't wait to try it with mexican mince and beans.
@@simongross3122 Yea looks like its crying out for some mince, sauce and cheese in the middle lol
@@TheKruxed Yep. Don't forget the salad, chili and sour cream :) Oh I'm hungry now...
I was just thinking that this looks like a much easier way to make tortillas, or a bread similar enough to tortillas without the kneeling and rolling out. I have serious back problems that keep me from standing for very long in the kitchen and this recipe would make homemade tortillas something I could make again. You really can’t beat homemade for burritos, soft tacos and quesadillas!❤❤
Thank you so much for your recipe. I appreciate you also including the spoon and cup measurements for us in the US. Thanks!
that looks real good. be trying that really soon. thanks for sharing.
I absolutely love this recipe. It's simple, easy to make, and delicious.
I'm making it for the second time today.
I just tried these. First ones didn't poof & were doughy, so I added a little more water (about 2 Tb) and remembered to SPREAD out the batter on the pan. I got some poof this time & they were better. Sunflower oil smoked in my pan, so I switched to Earth Balance, which did not smoke but is salty, so next time will reduce the salt. I used 1 3/4 cups flour & about 1 2/3 cups water. I think the batter has to be thin, and the constant flipping is so they don't burn, IMO.
Great feedback, thanks for sharing! 👍
Sweet
Kitty, mine smoked too, but I used Olive oil and you're not supposed to use that on high heat. Will buy some grapeseed oil, which is good for high heat. Mine didn't puff at all either and looked a little doughy as well. I hope she responds when I asked her how much batter you put in the pan. She is used to this so she probably just eyeballs it. I need precise because I've never made these. However I have made flour tortillas and they puffed up and were really easy to make.
This recipe is wrong
@monayasmeen5319 I agree. If you don't follow the recipe exactly, you can't get upset if it doesn't turn out well lol

These are interesting and delicious. I didn’t have green onion so I threw in a small handful of dehydrated chives. I made 6 of them. I finally got it right on the final one. You have to do just like the video, spread it very thin - I could see my spatula through it. Then continually turn it. Before, I was leaving them 20-30 seconds before flipping them. Also, medium low was too low with my electric stove. They never really browned. The final one was where I turned the heat up more. And it seems to be the only one that really got done. It was also the only one that started creating air bubbles.
What kind of pan did you use?
