    After many of you commented that this is a clickbait video and it's not 2 ingredients, I wanted to clear up some things.
    Firstly as mentioned in the video, self rising flour and yogurt are 2 ingredients. Secondly as mentioned in the video several times, all the other ingredients are optional. Meaning you have the option to not use them to make these naans. Thirdly, any more comments like that will be deleted that imply that this is a clickbait video and that I don't know how to count my ingredients. I work very hard for each video, and I'm the last person to create a title just for views or likes. I don't have a reason to do clickbait titles as you can see on the hundreds of other videos I've done. If I was so eager for views with no real content, I would not be doing this. I started my channel out of passion, not because I wanted attention.
    Thank you to all who have genuinely supported me or this video. But I won't be tolerating people who think of me negatively or tell me something I did when I did not. Thank you for understanding. 💜

      Could I use vanilla yogurt or would it mess it up

    • @WhatsCookingWithFariyal
      @WhatsCookingWithFariyal  3 года назад +30

      @@koalahug5871 it's better to use plain yogurt, the vanilla flavor will give it a sweetness that naan typically doesn't have. I'd go with plain preferably, but if you want to try using vanilla, let me know how that goes. I'm curious now on how that would turnout.

      I'm quite lucky where I live, the commercial store bought naan breads are, by and large, very good quality, authentic and really cheap. Fresh is always better, but for convenience, the shop bought ones here are pretty fantastic. I've made the ones in this video, they came out really nice.
      Great video btw.

    I found that when I don't want to grill all of the dough, I took a clean kitchen towel, (not the paper kind) & I moistened it w/water, squeezed out the excess, wrapped it around the raw dough, placed it into a zip lock bag, squeezed out all of the air then zipped it closed, the next evening it worked great. I was even able to get a 3rd day from it. I live alone, so this really works out great for me w/your recipe. I just wanted to share that w/you & other's who might also be single. There's nothing better than fresh cooked bread! ❤ ThankQ again, Love.

Normally I just buy Naan bread at the store but have been making a lot of my own foods from scratch at home in the last couple of years so looking forward to giving it a try. When watching you I was wondering if you roll the bread out Tinner and then put the butter herbs and garlic on it folded it over rolled it out to your desired shape so now the bread is back to the correct thickness and your delicious herb garlic infused butter is inside the bread. Will have to give it a try and see if it works.

      If you want to keep it chemical free(avoid the baking soda), add a teaspoon of yogurt/curds while kneading the dough and leave it covered at room temperature overnight (8 hours). You will get the same taste or even better when you make the Naan.

    This recipe is incredible! I made it vegan by using plain coconut yogurt.
    The naan was so soft, fluffy, and delicious!
    Plus it was so simple but my family was very impressed I made naan from scratch.
    I think this would make an excellent pizza crust.

    I have no idea what a “clickbait” is, I guess it’s bad. I love naan and cook enough to know that it can’t be very hard to make homemade, which is why I clicked on your video. You gave easy to understand directions, used simple ingredients and they look delicious. Haters are gonna’ hate…screw em’. I can’t wait to make this naan 😋. Thank you

    Well, I finally tried your recipe and made my naan bread tonight 10/18/2021. I had to tweak it as my dough was too sticky. It did come out soft and gooey. We are going to enjoy making naan regularly from now on.

      Yeah depending on the yogurt one uses, the flour to yogurt ratio can be adjusted. I'm glad this recipe will be in rotation for you now. 😉

    We love naan for the humans here and its handy to take to the shelter for busy days too coz it travels well and is yum even without anything on it. Tried it with chick pea flour & some fish oil topping for the kitties and that was a hit too 🤣Win win 😸thank you for this idea!
