      Streetfighter 2010.
I mean, small sprites aside, these are some of the best graphics on the NES...if you ignore the slowdown. It's rare to see this many sprites with more than three colors. Or background tiles that attempt to present an actual aesthetic.
The gameplay's frustrating and cheap until you hit the right groove and realize there's a correct way to solve every level.
By 8-bit standards, that's empowering the player.
It's very much a product of its time, but with way more thought going into it than most action games received. But today, all anyone remembers is that our cyborg Guile cosplayer is supposed to be Ken. And that eleven years ago looked nothing like this.

Also, the best(?) thing about Chaos Legion was that, despite having a big-ass sword and the ability to SUMMON DEMONS to hit dudes with, the single best option in every scenario is to use Zieg’s ungodly powerful…shoulder check 😂 I hope there’s a video somewhere out there.

Gotcha Force for the GameCube is the name that comes to mind when talking about forgotten, obscure Capcom stuff. An Robot Arena fighter like Gundam Extreme VS., with a cute artstyle, customization like Custom Robo... a shame they forgot to print enough copies of the game, and now it costs as much as a console...

My small town happened to have a Cadillac v Dinosaurs cabinet and I am so glad it id. The dashing mechanics along with 3 player co-op made the game quite an experience that I will never forget.
Oddly enough, the Cadillac can only be used on one level and never returns as a gameplay element ever again.

I adore Under The Skin, I played a demo of it on a demo disk (remember THOSE things?) and I was hooked. The gameplay loop of pulling pranks and dodging the fallout of your own mayhem, getting a new disguise, repeating, and having to deal with panic time was AWESOME! It even made a really fun co-op or vs game if you could get someone to actually give it a shot! Nothing better than the big WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON from a buddy when you drop a giant burger on their head.

I remember Spawn the arcade game by Capcom. It was also a multiplayer coop mode that lets you and 3 of your friends fight the boss characters. Playing the arcade game alone is futile since you will end up spending so much credit. The game was pretty much made to be enjoyed with friends. - weather beat each other up or go coop.

I remember Little Nemo being kinda confusing because the manual told you how to use the the magic wand but although your sprite carried the wand from the start you could not use it before the final nightmare stages. But it was one of these games were beating the final boss gave you the satisfaction to have mastered some big challenge.

The way I discovered Little Nemo was so weird. Back in the early 2000s I couldn't find any copies of pokemon silver, having just finished Pokemon sapphire I wanted to go back and play the one I missed. There was a seller on ebay selling a "gameboy advance" version for like 15 bucks, so I scooped it up thinking cool they did a widescreen version or something. Here the game was a sprite swap hack of little nemo dreammaster. I remember being pretty disappointed I didn't get a real copy of pokemon silver, but didn't have much else to play at the time so kept playing it, and really enjoying it. Years later I found it was a real game and picked it up for NES when I started collecting older games. Still find it odd I didn't realize it was Little Nemo earlier, as we had the VHS of the movie. Great game though.

I loved Cadillacs and Dinosaurs (the comic and the games...yes, there were multiple, but Capcom only did the arcade one) and really keep hoping that and Aliens vs Predator arcade will hit consoles soon (or that giant Capcom plug and play fight stick monstrosity comes to the US). Chaos Legion was always a fun time then too, but I can see how it could get stale. I never beat it back then. But if you wanna talk forgotten games (that are surprisingly expensive AF now) you need to talk about 2005's Haunting Ground. Great survival horror title where you have no attack (kinda like Clock Tower) but you do have a AI controlled dog partner character. Love that game.

  • @Gnamut

Another forgotten Capcom game I think it deserves a mention is Shadows of Rome. It had a pretty unique blend of styles as you play as two different characters, one for the hack 'n' slashing in the arena and another one for the stealth missions. The premise was unique too, since it's the first Japanese-developed title I've ever heard of to be setted in the Roman Empire age.

Holy crap, I played that Little Nemo game when I was a kid, and I've never heard about it mentioned until this video.
I thought it was just some random game, as I was not familiar with the movie as well.
I remember not going too far in the game tho, as I didn't really understand about the game mechanics and got stuck in one part.
I'm surprised that I still remember that game actually, what a trip down the memory lane!
I don't remember the game title actually, but once I saw that candy throwing and the frog suit, I remember that I've played this game!
