This watch is for people with an acquired taste. I chose the A500W watch because the map makes it unique as most people usually go for the the retro Casio watches without any world map
Just bought it, it’s classy and functional as my work involves keeping up with multiple time zones in the u.s and world. I got the black dial with blue map, the contrast looks great. Waiting to see how the chrome case holds up as it’s my daily beater. Great review thanks.
Beautiful video! I love how you go into lots of detail with all the functions! There are videos that didnt go into detail and left me wondering whether the watch has certain functions or not. You just answered all those questions for me! Thanks for the great video. Just a question, are you aware if the watch displays ‘CASIo’ when you hold one of the buttons? Watches such as the A159 and F-91W show ‘CASIo’ on the display which shows you if the watch is authentic or not. I was wondering if the A500 also has this feature or not. Anyways, I appreciate the great video 👍
there seems to be a problem while i tried to set up my local time, i managed to correctly set the time of my home country, but now every other time zone is off by 1 hour, do you have any idea why that must have happened? can i correct it automatically or do i have to manually change the time of every time zone? edit: i noticed that the time zones in asia (where i am) are all correct, but every time zone in europe and america is early by an hour.... is this a mistake i made while setting up the time or is my watch damaged?
You have to either enable or disable daylight saving time (DST) for each time zone separately. Each country changes on different calendar dates each year.
@@Oridyben thanks for the comment, I did end up enabling dst, to be honest did not even know such a thing existed until I got this watch hehe! But yeah, after this I recently got another Casio, the AEQ 120, which also has world time.
Why did you choose the black and white version of this beautiful Casio over the blue tinted model with the attractive black border that frames the screen so well and gives it great definition and the lovely blue atlas that make tracking the time zones much easier ?? The model you chose to review just looks like a smaller AE-1200 you have me completely baffled your not showing the model in it’s best format. -- RG Sydney Australia

Other people go for the kiddy one 😎 we go for the big boy watches. You tell em
You just explained the exact reason why I bought it very diffrent and I'm loving it😊
I’ve had mine for about a year and a half. It’s a comfortable and classy retro watch. I use it about once a week.

Thank you very much for going through every function of the watch.
Keep up the good work.👍
Great video. My mate took my watch once and set a loud timer every hour; it was getting annoying because it played in a lot of my classes.
Great review!!! This model must have radio adjusted version. Full metal and Sapphire material for collector's edition.😊
I would LOVE a real silver & Gold version!
Im waiting for mine 👍 its nice and grey 👍😎 good video 😀👍👌
I would love this on a mesh bracelet like the A700
It can easily be swapped. Just buy a mesh bracelet online. I'm thinking of changing mine to jazz it up.
But I prefer the option like the A300 or A700-1a
grateful ! ❤🙏
thanks for the video, it was very helpful!
this is my travel watch
How do you quit the test mode? I have something like DT mode and my map is just crazy. I don't have cities too.
Love your channel
O meu é um relógio Casio a 168 dourado muito lindo diferente desse modelo aí
love casio vintage watches
but worldmaps are so redundant, all I need is time, day and date
Thank you man you helped me so much
Glad I could help.

If it does I was not able to get it to display. I'm sure it doesn't. Thanks for your kind words.
@@digitalcasio2704 Awesome. No worries man! Thanks for your reply :)

Not without modification.

What if I am in a different city not on the list
Is the strap interchangeable?
Nice. But thickens is unacceptable.
