These Memo databanks do still have a place in our modern world, albeit in very niche purposes. What got me started in casios is serving in the military. Though I did own a casio in my youth in the 80s, Casios are the defacto official watch of most military, particularly the F91W in the US. Having it serve multiple purposes other than the stopwatch and timer comes very handy. Personally I find myself using the Casio Vibration alert/alarm and dual/triple time features most and a databank like this could actually be of use to me. Android and Apple smartwatches rely too much on being linked to their respective smartphones, have terrible battery life that can barely last a day, have close to zero water resistance and are not sturdy at all. Also the fact that the apple watch is just repulsive to me. Thanks for another great video!
I had an F91W when in the army and so did many of my mates. Our country still relies on concsripts and soldier needs a watch, so F91W fits that spot great, with low cost, low weight, non intrusive design that I liked, not owning a watch before my service, a g-shock would have and still feels too big and bulky for me.
About a databank in a wristwatch :this may be interesting as a curiosity, it could have been a smash back in the day, but now there's no need in this - smartphones have that even better. However, as for other functions, I don't think that a wristwatch with world time, daily alarm(s) and a timer is a junk. If you have a watch like this, then you won't have to put your health hazard cellphone close to your head when you're sleeping. Also, you won't have to pull it out just to check the time.
The quality is based on the build materials not the technology. The technology was awesome and still usable today. I agree with the smart watch technology and have used that argument a number of times now. They are $300+ disposable watches. 😄

Quality: 5?
For a piece of tech launched in the 80's that still work nowadays? 😁
Try to review your smart watch 35 years from now!
