    I really hope AoC takes inspiration from private shard Ultima Online:Outlands for its PVP. The basic skills you need to make a PVP template (classless system) can be done quickly, and gear plays a very little role in PVP. Relatively cheap crafted gear is great. However, there's insane depth and power progression you can imbue your armor with that ONLY works for PVE. That way, you're never outgeared or outleveled in PVP, which feels amazing (although if you run a glass cannon PVE build you're more vulnerable obviously).

    what i find missing in MMORPGs for the past 10 years and i miss it dearly was during Dark age of Camelot days, the progression you had after hitting max lvl was to obtain extremely hard RNG gear from the dragon and your pvp levels if you dont know what im saying imagine pvping and you have a realm rank starting a R1 L1 as you progress you get R1 L2 up to L9 then you move to R2 L1 so on and so forth i was a R12 L6 nightshade when i stopped playing there are so many things you can add per lvl or every few lvls to aid you on your pvp journey stat bonuses quick heals you name it you can add it. there were also areas on the map on pvp zones that required 5 man groups to run, mobs that you couldn't kill alone and to get the gear from them that was very RNG time consuming. i also played AION back in the day where entire areas of the map required a full group to play in in order to kill mobs and bosses in the areas to try to get higher lvl gear. so it would be player max lvl is 50, the mobs in area 1 would be 55+, area 2 60+, area 3 65+ and area 4 70+, cant remember if it went that high, but being able to obtain the crazy gear or have it made so you can fight in these zones was incredibly hard to obtain. the playing pvp zone in AION and doing this one crazy quest to get this set of armor was insane i never did get all the pieces due to the very low chance of it rolling but i know others that got it.

    The fundamental problem in MMO is content. No matter how fast you make it, your players will outpace you. WOW did a great job of creating content, but still, you had to have repetitive grinding to keep your players engaged. Work Dungeon for gear many times, play it in heroic mode where you work it for gear many times, then you can go on to larger instances once you have gear. Very soon, AI is going to solve this problem with dynamic content. You can have AI create dungeons WITH storylines and a challenge to any level and any gear combo. You can even tell it to make it harder or easier. And you simply have to be good at your classes and not go to youtube and learn how to master an instance. Even before that happens, AI will make the creation of new content SO much cheaper that you can create platforms with new instances out every week or so. The HUGE shift in gaming will come when adding content to a platform is either super cheap or completely dynamic. At that point, all of this changes.

    One thing I truly hope is no time gated dailies/weeklies in AoC. Nothing kills my enjoyment of a game faster than the dread of a list of chores you need to do for player progression. If there's any weeklies/dailies it should be purely for cosmetic stuff. Just my 2 cents.
