Hello! I play lost ark since June 2022 and my main six characters are: reaper, sorceress, deadeye, destroyer, wardancer and bard. Is gonna be hard to play a night edge soul eater for me? What do u think? Tbh I didnt know the rotation was so stricht and that's a bit scary, maybe it's not the character for me
Id proba just disagree on the utility, ne has great stagger and actually rly good weak point, the issue comes in when you enter soul snatch at the wrong moment, then you dont bring much of either. He can solo stag clown g3 very easily and spam weakpoint with vestige. It breaks the maxroll rotation but once you get a feel for the class and cooldowns its not a problem to use guillotine and vestiges for util. Take extreme valtan for example, boss spawns in, you have 3 soul stones from ads or if its rerun, u can just hit him for 3 stones before he spins, he smashes into pillar and you do guillotine, vestige, vestige and now you generate 3 soul stones using spinning for 3 stone reaper scythe since you had to spam weakpoint on boss. Ur rotation is now the 'same' in terms of meter, but different because you prioritized weakpoint. Instead of guillo into reaper transformation u do guillo vestige, same end result, different utility usage.
But let’s say u just get out of soul snatch and you have 0 stones and the boss goes into destruction check. Ur not going into vestige/lethal spinning a that point right? If you do, your damage and rotation becomes completely out of sync and when u go into soul snatch next time you will not have lethal spinning up for it because you will be forced to use lethal spinning right before your rotation heading into Soul Snatch, dropping your DPS by a lot. Or another situation is that you are in your last rotation before heading into Soul Snatch and you just threw out your empowered Vestige. You again need to build 3 stones with lunatic > soul drain > harvest because again if you use lethal spinning for destruction and meter at this point, your lethal spinning will still be down for Soul Snatch, decreasing your damage by a ton. There’s just a lot of situations where it becomes awkward if you go out of ur normal rotation to prioritize mechanics. Again it’s not TERRIBLE but it does not compare to other classes like Hunger Reaper who can just quickly throw out a Red Skill anywhere in their rotation to INSTANTLY get out destruction or stagger or even striker who can throw out any 2 generators into a spender for big stagger or destruction. As a Soul Eater, your flexibility is much lower and depending on where you are in your rotation you may not even have the ability to change your rotation to fit the situation.
@@MisoxShiru yeah you can start lethal spinning immediately out of soul snatch, but I'd always generate 3 soulstones if possible before using my first purple skill. A lot of the time my 2nd lethal spinning actually draws me soulstones because snatch ended before the attack finished. You just get to use spinning normally once outside of soul snatch which I agree sucks cock. The thing with the class is that if you start thinking of generators as combos which get you to 3 stones, youll stop overgenerating the soulstones (misusing soul drain mostly) and you can more easily adapt to mechanics and your own meter, sometimes u can also use spinning twice per building rotation if theres downtime and your meter falls / boss phases, sometimes you have to finish with double 3 stone vestige (or wait 2-3s for guillotine in most cases) to get comfortably into snatch. You can still mess up the rotation and I agree it feels really bad when that happens, its also my pet peeve with ne, and if I have to destru with spinning right before entering soul snatch then yeah ill just delay my snatch to reset rotation, which kills ur parse. But basically what im saying is that the purple skills with 3 stones are interchangeable p much, u prio guillo for dmg ofc but reaper/vestige have rly similar damage with 3 stones, so you can swap them in the rotation or even just use reaper at 3 stones because you need push immunity. Anyway like these vids a lot, watched the striker reaper one as well
how can u say they dont provide weak point and stagger because of the rotation, sure u lose dps, but are u playing to be on the mvp screen or clear the raid, SE has plenty of weak point and stagger. only an idiot will hold skills for more dmg especially if ur puging, very bad presentation of the class, plus they ahve tripods that gives extra weakpoints on some skills
ye. for most classes the stagger/weak point skills are the highest damage skills. If you assume they hold their highest damage skills then the utility score would be 3/5 for all classes except for supprot and GL
I think hes a striker main, on striker u RLY dont wanna participate cuz ur also losing ur cardset lol on NE u can, also the rotation is not really that set in stone, you can use pretty vestige freely for movement and reaper for push immune as well. You just get a feel for soulstones and how much meter the purple skills generate after a while of playing which breaks the reference rotation from the community guide.

Awnser: unless ur a new player, u absolutely should not! Keep adding multiple dps classes to ur roster and u will end up crying about gatekeep like most of the bozo’s in this game, focus on 1 dps class and get urself 1/2 supps in ur main 6 to be able to supp trade, (also supps dont need high investment and u wont experience gatekeep on them)invest in a full level10 gem page or mostly 10 for that dps class and master that 1 class u choose to play, dont listen to this bozo!😘
