I'm 76 and have been making potato salad that everyone raves about for many years, however my significant other of 5 years (picky eater) has never commented on it. I stumbled on your channel a few days ago and have been watching with interest. We were having neighbors over for dinner yesterday and I decided to try making your potato salad to go along with pork chops and baked asparagus. Well, the neighbors loved it and my guy not only had two helpings, but he actually commented how good it was and, even though I'm a good cook, he hardly ever makes a comment on my food! Yours has taken the place of my "once famous" potato salad! Thank you, Rachel, I'll surely be trying more of your recipes.

that made the difference to my

I “STILL” have learned amazing things from Rachel’s fantastic recipe tutorials! My thoughts are, that you only stop learning when you are “dead & gone!”🤣Ha! I agree! I recently spoiled 3 boiled eggs because the shells stuck like glue. I looked on YT and a top chef said it was because instructions always say to put eggs in cold and bring to boil but they should be steamed for 13 mins starting with the water boiling. Supposedly it prevented the shell sticking to the membrane. I did try it but wasn’t 100% successful however watching Rachel make it look so easy, I will certainly be giving her way a try. Great video!

Been searching for a long time at delis and sandwich shops but they always seemed to have more vinegar and mustard than I was looking for. Now I can make it myself when I get the cravings and I do about once a month. Thank you Rachel for explaining the techniques. You're awesome! You are a great teacher! (I am a retired teacher, so I'm picky lol🤭) when I make variations of tater salad,,, I've used your basic recipe, but omit onion, due to medical reasons,,, we enjoy subbing a quality or homemade Ranch dressing, to the mayo, for a non mustard style. And of course yummy dill weed to taste. For over 25yrs, I've also made a version with Bread & Butter style pickles, chopped into relish,,, along with some pickle brine. I was at my folks house cooking for a widow lady🙏She loved it! I've even added French style mustard, instead of yellow traditional,,, and it's a hit! Also, we LOVE to add fresh chopped red bell pepper to all versions. And,,, of course here in TX, we've always got to make a spicy jalapeño version. We prefer the sweet Jalapeños or the Jalapeño relish in stores. And ya know,,, crispy bacon or diced ham on top for Southern BBQ! I am so anxious to look through your recipes! Keep up the GREAT teaching!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥳💯‼️

Just finely chopped cheddar sprinkled on top along with fresh chives. I have lots growing outside. Perfect recipe I think. It has all the ingredients I use plus a few I don't so I will see. Thank you so much for this recipe. Making it right now. Put the potatoes in fridge overnight but boiling your way absolutely gets rid of mushiness! Going to get chives!

Ain't nothin wrong with that potato salad. I can tell it's good. You are the only person that actually gives and exact cooking time for the potatoes. Thanks so much for sharing.

Thank you Rachel, my aunty thought me a few years ago to cut them up first then boil it. I rinse them in cold water and then make my dressing. It is so much easier and less burns from hot potatoes. 👌🏾👌🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👌🏾👌🏾
