@@rachelcookswithlove I 100% agree with Brian. I love your videos. My family's from NE Texas, you teach a lot like my mom and grandma did. Many of your phrases, brands of ingredients you use, cookware(era), etc are so similar, it's like stepping into my mom's kitchen again.
And OH MY GOODNESS! Your bechamel! Your bechamel is the best I've ever tasted. So good, It deserves the full spelled out words, not the acronym OMG 😆.
We loved the potatoes and are now using the bechamel in everything. Even flavoring with things like tomato paste to use as a cheesy pizza sauce base on our home made pizza roll ups.

Rachel, a girl after my own heart! I could eat Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes from breakfast till the cows come home. The weather is turning cool outside and I can hardly wait to get my mandolin out. Oh, I need to mention that you can alternate layers with sliced Granny Smith apples. It sounds a little strange but the nutmeg ties the flavors all together. Bon Appetite

I needed this recipe! This looks like a perfect scalloped, cheesy potato recipe. While you were going through I kept thinking "Wow, this would be great with meatloaf". It also made me crave Queso. I kept thinking you could add some cumin and Ro-Tel and some Hatch chilis lol. I don't know what part of Texas you own a house in, but it kept hitting me as a Houston accent. Thanks for another great recipe I'm going to add to my repertoire.

I think you are my favorite chef. A couple of months ago I stumbled onto Utube and found you. I usually learn something with each cook I visit but I have learned the most from you. I often spend hours going through your recipes jotting down notes so I can try and duplicate them. I usually view them on my phone and will watch and listen to you until my phone gets low on its charge and I have to quit until my phone is charged again. Thank you so much for sharing your recipes. The scalloped potatoes look wonderful as do so many of your recipes. Please keep on sharing.
