This is actually making me want to play Monster Hunter World again, the thrill of the hunt is like no other game experience and the gameplay loop is so satisfying

@@MartinKoch-jo2vr I'd say World is as good a place as any. Rise is coming to the Game Catalogue next week though, so you'll be able to try that if you have PS+, but I liked World a _lot_ more

I love Rob... he's probably my favorite at Access. But it's hard to take him seriously after he said Veilguard was the best looking game he's ever seen.
Either way I'm very stoked for Wilds. World was phenominal in pretty much every way, I hope Wilds fixes the few issues that existed there.

I'd love to see a Monster Hunter gameplay with the PS access team...
This is something i have been hoping for monster hunter since world! I love that they are focusing on the ecosystems and monster/animals ecology! It would be cool for certain monsters to hunt you down as prey during expeditions! Monsters waiting to ambush you, and a flying wyvern swooping down like a bird of prey and pick you off the ground to take you back to its nest!
meanwhile we are hunting, imagine deviljho were just stalking us and wait for us to get tired and then ambush us.

get out of forums I guess, pretty much all the media I've listened were excited with the live demos they watched and the only negatives are coming from gamers, jaded veterans that are afraid of changes or simply haters that will nitpick everything
feels like MH games are getting easier and easier as they come out. Then again, the endgame in MHW is pretty challenging.

I never could get into MH but I recently put 500 hrs into world and it's probably the best game I've ever played even over elden ring.
What hurts me most. That for sure was butter on then steak not cheese. Monster hunter chefs have standards

Monster hunter 3 got me liking the series and monster hunter world made me love it. WILDS is exactly what I've been waiting for. Super excited
I fell so hard into World, even though I'd tried to play others before and it never clicked. I still go back to Rise on Switch and will be playing on PS5 when it comes to Plus, so this is one of my most anticipated games.
Monster Hunter World was My favourite and it’s getting a new game. things look amazing! The environment and actual scary monsters that I would want to hunt! Awesome. Instead of all the cute cool harmless looking ones, that sometimes I don’t even want to hurt or hunt.
MH: World was one of my favorite game of the ps4 era, no doubt that Wilds will be awesome as well !
They said officially the game isn't open World, it will still use separated zones it's just the zones will be larger and seamlessly connected to towns and villages. There's still loaded separation between habitats.
pretty much like how World was originally designed, if u notice during early play where we can access the forest easily next to the fleet. but it doesnt feel that immersive because we have Map-teleport system. I bet it just the same but far more immersive and way more enormous in term of size.
This is 1st Monster hunt game i even been intrested in after i tried the 1st monster hunter a while back and hated it in every way...
This seems less cramped n more open world sized and looks really geat,feels a bit happy when looking on this video vs some other games w monsters that are a bit sader worlds n darker if i can put it like that?
This is a game i am waiting for big time and already got it marked on steam a long while back n just siting n waiting for this to release n hope it can compete w dragons dogma 2+dragon age and a few other titles....If it can compet withe these games i think it will be a epic gameplay once again(long since i really played a game that felt like a epic story so i kind of hope thsi)

Is there any gimmick mechanic in place yet? (World had clutch claw, Rise wirebugs). Older titles (Rise too) had weapon skills/abilities, are they going to be in Wilds or is it too soon?
Claw but mhw claw. Jut grab stuff
seems like they listened to the criticism, wounding is back, but you create it by attacking with your regular weapons, there is a 'focus mode' to help with that but again, it is more some sort of targeting qol than a gimmick. The claw and slinger are there but more for gathering and environmental traps, this kind of stuff.

World had no gimmick mechanic really. The clutch claw came in Iceborne

Dragon Age looks like $#!+ for a DragonAge game, if MH simply works I'll look forwardto it more. Might be a good game just horrable to ruin dragon age just to milk the name for money

The monster hunter franchise just doesn't miss they have something for everyone and constantly improving this is how companies should treat their ips.

As a first fleeter from the ps2 days I literally cannot wait for this.
I'm a bit confused as to whether you can switch weapons on the fly because it seems like the hunter could go from Great Sword to Bowgun while on the Seikret so does that mean you can have any weapon on there or do you have to select a specific secondary one?
You can store a second weapon on your mount and swap it out in the world.
To answer your question, you can carry two of the same type of weapon and use any two of the 14 weapon
Thanks so much for clarifying, folks. During multi-monster hunts previously, I liked using specific weapons for different monsters/situations so it'll be much more convenient to just have everything with me instead of having to slog all the way back to camp to switch.
I've also heard tale that one of the "gimmicks" this time around are attacks that involve both weapons you bring with you. I don't think it was shown during the demo, but it seems like it was mentioned off-hand at some point during the presentation.
I'd like to hear about Rob's time in LA. As an American viewer, there are so many moments where I'm intrigued, and at times confused, by what the crew are talking about. Whether that be slang, laws, customs, FOOD, etc.

Dragon age the vale gaurd isn't even a competition for games this year. Its a joke monster hunter wilds is way above anything ea Activision and ubisoft has ever made.
