Of course it'll be too easy. Two things guarantee "too easy" will be the major narrative about its difficulty. One, no MH game will ever be as hard as the first MH game you played, MH is just a really hard series to get the basics down and once you do those basics translate to every MH game you play after it. Two, we will all be dorks and subconsciously compare MH Wilds base game low rank/high rank with no title updates to the difficulty of master rank Sunbreak post the final title update (the latest MH most of us have played). These two things are exactly what happened to base Rise with everyone saying it was too easy. Rise was my first MH game but I have played through World and Iceborne. Everyone was telling how hard World was and how brutal Iceborne was and how Rise didn't compare. Yet for me base Rise is way, way more difficult than base World and Sunbreak is in a whole other league of difficulty over Iceborne, I wouldn't even call World a difficult game and Iceborne was OK difficulty at the very end.
honestly very aptly put! generations was my start in MH and I still remember hunting nibelsnarf the first time, took 40 minutes lmao I just wonder if Capcom is going up the ante this time around and be a little more unforgiving with monster aggression given all the weapon changes
