Monolith the studio that did shadow of mordor is under WB, and they did have a batman game based on the Nolan's dark knight rises in development which was canceled because the arkham series already existed. They are making that wonder woman game which is probably in development hell.
Honestly, I view this as nothing but a positive. Not only does give new developers a chance to shine, but it also let's us get other Batman games besides the Arkham games. The Arkham franchise ended with Knight almost 10 years ago (No, I don't count Suicide Squad), and I think it's time for a new series to shine. It doesn't even need to have free flow combat, though it probably should have some alternative
I just want them to give the Arkham origins licence to someone who can remaster or hell at this point remake it. The game deserves something instead of being left to rot wheather you hate or love origins it deserves to be at least on next gen hardware.
I like how excited people are without thinking about the potentially shitty games made by publishers like Ubisoft or EA. Guess what more of those games are going to be sh*t than good given the horrid state of industry. Look no further than Activision only abusing the marvel IP. The Arkham series was clearly a happy accident at this point. Sony (movie games that rely on pretty visuals and handholding experience with no depth). Microsoft (they'll just f*ck it up somehow or not launch anything at all). EA (they'll just sit on the IP like they did with starwars). Ubisoft (tired open world filled inconsequential collectables). But maybe there will be a small studio that surprises us the same way rocksteady did back in 2009.
Imagine the same studio’s that does Yakuza, Sifu, and Shadow of Mordor gets their hands on Batman.

@@baki484 oh okay cool. Just switch out them for the people who did Ghost of Tsushima.

I was a fan of Gotham Knights and would love a new developer to add to that universe.
