To be fair, this is ARKHAM Batman, Arkham Batman is powerful, but not as powerful as Comic Batman. But, that would be a whole other situation with Comic Spiderman
One guy is really smart and has a bunch of gadgets. The other guy is ALSO really smart, arguable smarter, and has a bunch of gadgets on top of actual superpowers. And that's without giving him a Symbiote that doesn't have the typical Symbiote weaknesses. And that's acknowledging that he is inherently always holding back because of his mentality.
Insomniac Pete is Large town level. He's neither more durable or stronger. How is Pete faster when his best speed scaling is via electricity? Not only does Batman have the same scaling off electricity but he now scales off Superman who LS-MFTL. Bouncing a random thug off concrete is cute, one tapping a Demi-god is Cuter. Pete is also out haxed, Considering Batman can dampen powers, shut off gadets and has the strongest form of fear toxin.
@@Comicedits39 Was Superman in any of the Arkham games? If not, he has no bearing on this discussion about Game versions of Bats and Spidey. Power dampeners aren't some magic device that can shut down powers. Bats would need to already know about Spidey to build ones based around him. And he doesn't have the luxury of prep time in this fight. Power dampeners are a moot point, as the ones he'd have on him wouldn't work on Spidey since they've never even met.

Idk why this is even a debate really. You could give Batman every advantage and he'd still lose most of the time. Spiderman is just that much faster, stronger, and agile. Spiderman's abilities alone is enough to push him over the top but the fact that he's also a genius means Batman's one big advantage isn't even that big. Spiderman has been able to create his own cures, suits, and gadgets with no money. Batman with basically unlimited money usually has his stuff engineered by other people as he focuses on being a detective and not an engineer but his products arent as impressive as Spiderman's. Batman is extremely perceptive, it's not better than Spiderman's Spidey sense tho, which instinctively gives Spiderman info and doesnt require it to be danger or a time limit.
@@celsos.arestalll7013 the best armor he gets is made with help from the JL, the best gadgets he gets is made from the JL. He used to make some of his stuff but has then changed to making the blueprints or ideas of what he wants and then having someone else make his equipment, or taking equipment and just coloring it to his liking. Lucious has become his go to when creating his stuff, not to mention the help Alfred gives as well. I dont think its controversial to say when Batman needs to be on the JL level, he's getting stuff not from his own design like alien tech.
That would just be a disadvantege because batman could just use sound to beat him. In my opinion though, if you give batman a month or 2 of prep time he would probably win, but if they fought on the spot batmans dead.

Ok so this is something that bothers me with versus debates-- Fristly, Spider-Man would win either way, I have no doubts about that, but I'm in the belief that the CHARACTER of these characters should remain intact. If these two were to fight, it should be THEM, not bloodlusted shells of them. Good video and strong analysis but there is one thing I have to disagree with you one; you mentioned that Doc Ock could overpower a base Spider-Man but don’t forget that Spider-Man had just fought Mr Negative and before that dozens perhaps hundreds of enemies and Scorpion & Rhino an hour or two before and was likely emotionally nerfed due to his being emotionally shattered with Otto’s fall. Something else to mention is that Otto likely knew Spider-Man’s suit’s shortcomings since he designed it.

Even though it doesn't matter because arkham batman isn't multi city block level but saying spiderman is 100x than that is kinda crazy. I could be wrong but I don't think otto meant the arms could move at the speed of light I think that's supposed to be the delay between his brain and arms. So I guess on paper spiderman shouldn't be phased at all by anything batman throws at him, I think if he was literally shot by his tank and batman unloaded just multiple bullets in him it could kill him. But this isn't even taking in symbiote spiderman who would mop arkham batman.
As the late and great Stan Lee once said (and i am paraphrasing here) "I hate this question, it's whatever I choose, I could write that Spider-Man beats the Hulk, or I could write that the Hulk beats Spider-Man"......basically it is whatever the writer chooses really.....but if we are looking beyond writers, then it still comes down to the scenario both Batman and Spidey are in and many many different variables....so in certain scenarios, Spidey wins, and in other scenarios, Batman wins....it is all so much more complex than just comparing the two

Peter in the insomniac comics built a suit that made him move so fast time around him stopped. He designed this suit in a few hours if I recall, IQ wise I don't know how people think humans in DC can compare to marvel 😭
The only reason this debate is still going is because the people who think Batman can beat him will just keep arguing until they find a way to make Batman come out on top; even if that means pulling out alternate reality versions for a cheap W. Cause lets face it, that's the only way Bruce wins this.
If someone reading this has a different opinion to my own, then we can gladly discuss it. These are just my thoughts and can absolutely be wrong. Why would property damage suddenly raise the earthquake up to level 8? He could have just meant the glass of the houses right next to where Peter landed, if These damages were caused at the very end of the City then it could potentially be higher. The highest end you can reasonably put Peter at is small town level with the symbiote, due to scaling to miles, who barely survived the huge explosion at the end of his game. Anything higher than that is reliant on Peter somehow scaling to sandman. He doesn't, he avoids fighting him directly and uses his weaknesses against him. He isn't anywhere near his level of strength. Otto being described as the 'ultimate' villain could just be in reference to his intelligence, rather than his power. The Peter he beat also had fiifteen broken bones, meaning he wasn't at one hundred percent. Otto was referring to the time it takes for his commands to reach the arms, they do not travel that fast, they just receive directions at that speed. All his spider sense does is give him a Heads up, it doesn't make him move out of the way. If Peter were to face someone far faster than himself, then this sense would be useless, as Peter wouldn't be fast enough to react. He has to still look around to know what is attacking him and then move his body out of the way. I, personally, do not take this seriously, but it is worth mentioning. Venom, someone far above an amped peter, gets his skin pierced by bullets from a helicopter. The joule output of bullets can of course range, but is usually found to be in the hundreds to thousands. Considering bane's feat is said to be in the millions, it would mean that batman would be far stronger than someone who is able to knock out an amped peter.

That's barely a surprise. Batman is still human after all. Most of his feats are limited by his human-level potential. Spiderman is a metahuman: superhuman strengh. Superhuman reflexes, spider sense, etc. Still considering batman's attitude of always having a contingency plan for everything, im sure he would not face Peter without a plan to deal with him.
Easiest, most obvious Not Even Close in ages. Even nerfed, Spidey no diffs Batman any day of the week. Even with his anti Superman armour, Bats is in big trouble. Spider-Man's main weakness is his friends, not Kryptonite.
If Im being honest here, Spiderman has better intelligence then batman, BUT let me explain. spiderman made a suit that can go faster than speed of light. Spidey also made holograms from parts from dumpster diving. He also made iron arms that can absorb and withstand city-mountain levels of electricity/energy. He also made a suit in around 30 minutes-1 hour after almost being beaten to death. Most of the tech bats uses is developed by lucius. He also made web shooters at like 15 or 14 years old but every spidey does that except tobey i guess. He also helped build doc ocks arms that are wayyyyy faster than the human reaction time and are durable enough to survive small explosions . He did the work for the nueral interface and stuff. He literally made a cure or serum for tombstones invulnerability and it worked. And he made it within an hour or less probably (In gametime it was like 2 minutes) he also made tech by himself that can analyze chemical components on a sub atomic level with limited budget.

I'm pretty biased when it comes to the Arkham Batman and I tried my best to debunk your video but you make some really good points and let's all be honest. Spider-Man is always pulling his punches and there 's sometimes in the movies and in the games when he doesn't pull his punches and you can really see how strong he is. I do think that Spider-Man easily folds. Arkham Batman, I do think though that if Batman had prep time that he could maybe beat Spider-Man

I'm here waiting for the Batman's durability is Nuke level while his speed is MFTL+ because he punched The Flash, same Flash who was stated as the god of time. The same god of time who can't catch bullets, the same flash who was shown earlier in the game can indeed catch bullets. Arkham knight batman (bloodlusted, full power) vs insom peter (spider arms, no symbiyote, bloodlusted) Arkham batman gets combat skill, tech, suit, biq, and and battle experience. Insomniac peter, gets all categories of streangth, speed, weapons, agility, durability, and flexibility. When they fought yeah but first time he met sable she used stun tech to hold him down and so did yuri in the dlc. Even in the game I thought that was silly for someone like spider-man considering how strong he is but it happened anyway so if spidey can be stunned with that kind of tech batman does have a shot. He would have to know this though and wield that kind of tech on him. Since it's arkham batman the only gadget that comes close is his REC launcher. Arkham batman is the most op batman i know without any powers, so i do think he has a shot at winning mainly because spidey will hold back and this batman is brutal and likely won't hold back.
Why comparing a guy with superhuman, unreal abilities to a guy that only uses his strength, gadgets and intelligence, without any unreal stuff. We don't even know how strong this web is or how much of it can be produced. Moreover, batman can be anyone, spiderman is always the same guy.
I don't like Marvel characters mainly because of the fact that their power cannot be measured and is sometimes so unlimited that comparing them to even the most powerful beings of Marvel fails. Power dampeners aren't some magic device that can shut down powers. Bats would need to already know about Spidey to build ones based around him. And he doesn't have the luxury of prep time in this fight. Power dampeners are a moot point, as the ones he'd have on him wouldn't work on Spidey since they've never even met.

Idk why this is even a debate really. You could give Batman every advantage and he'd still lose most of the time. Spiderman is just that much faster, stronger, and agile. Spiderman's abilities alone is enough to push him over the top but the fact that he's also a genius means Batman's one big advantage isn't even that big.
Spiderman has been able to create his own cures, suits, and gadgets with no money. Batman with basically unlimited money usually has his stuff engineered by other people as he focuses on being a detective and not an engineer but his products arent as impressive as Spiderman's. Batman is extremely perceptive, it's not better than Spiderman's Spidey sense tho, which instinctively gives Spiderman info and doesnt require it to be danger or a time limit.

He used to make some of his stuff but has then changed to making the blueprints or ideas of what he wants and then having someone else make his equipment, or taking equipment and just coloring it to his liking. Lucious has become his go to when creating his stuff, not to mention the help Alfred gives as well.
I dont think its controversial to say when Batman needs to be on the JL level, he's getting stuff not from his own design like alien tech.

Good video and strong analysis but there is one thing I have to disagree with you one; you mentioned that Doc Ock could overpower a base Spider-Man but don’t forget that Spider-Man had just fought Mr Negative and before that dozens perhaps hundreds of enemies and Scorpion & Rhino an hour or two before and was likely emotionally nerfed due to his being emotionally shattered with Otto’s fall. Something else to mention is that Otto likely knew Spider-Man’s suit’s shortcomings since he designed it.

Even though it doesn't matter because arkham batman isn't multi city block level but saying spiderman is 100x than that is kinda crazy. I could be wrong but I don't think otto meant the arms could move at the speed of light I think that's supposed to be the delay between his brain and arms. I also don't think spiderman is 10 times faster than the speed of light as I've literally never heard that in my life and that really wouldn't make sense. Other than that this was an amazing video. I think overall peter is just too strong for arkham batman as I think even though he is clearly a better fighter he needs all the right plays to even get a chance in (this situation) killing peter. Another thing to add as I feel like on paper a lot of characters are stronger than games every let them be portrayed because one moment you could see batman tanking full rounds of guns to getting knocked off a building by a gun shot. Same thing goes with spiderman as (this shit pissed me off in spiderman 2) he outright almost dies if miles wasn't there twice in the games where he would of died from getting drowned by sand to getting knocked out by I think a missile when chasing the lizard. Him dying to a knife is literally dumb too. I'm pretty sure it was just a big ass knife too.
So I guess on paper spiderman shouldn't be phased at all by anything batman throws at him, I think if he was literally shot by his tank and batman unloaded just multiple bullets in him it could kill him. But this isn't even taking in symbiote spiderman who would mop arkham batman.

If someone reading this has a different opinion to my own, then we can gladly discuss it. These are just my thoughts and can absolutely be wrong.
Why would property damage suddenly raise the earthquake up to level 8? He could have just meant the glass of the houses right next to where Peter landed, if These damages were caused at the very end of the City then it could potentially be higher. The highest end you can reasonably put Peter at is small town level with the symbiote, due to scaling to miles, who barely survived the huge explosion at the end of his game. Anything higher than that is reliant on Peter somehow scaling to sandman. He doesn't, he avoids fighting him directly and uses his weaknesses against him. He isn't anywhere near his level of strength.
Otto being described as the 'ultimate' villain could just be in reference to his intelligence, rather than his power. The Peter he beat also had fiifteen broken bones, meaning he wasn't at one hundred percent.
Otto was referring to the time it takes for his commands to reach the arms, they do not travel that fast, they just receive directions at that speed.
All his spider sense does is give him a Heads up, it doesn't make him move out of the way. If Peter were to face someone far faster than himself, then this sense would be useless, as Peter wouldn't be fast enough to react. He has to still look around to know what is attacking him and then move his body out of the way.
I, personally, do not take this seriously, but it is worth mentioning. Venom, someone far above an amped peter, gets his skin pierced by bullets from a helicopter. The joule output of bullets can of course range, but is usually found to be in the hundreds to thousands. Considering bane's feat is said to be in the millions, it would mean that batman would be far stronger than someone who is able to knock out an amped peter.

That's barely a surprise. Batman is still human after all. Most of his feats are limited by his human-level potential. Spiderman is a metahuman: superhuman strengh. If Im being honest here, Spiderman has better intelligence then batman, BUT let me explain.
spiderman made a suit that can go faster than speed of light. Spidey also made holograms from parts from dumpster diving. He also made iron arms that can absorb and withstand city-mountain levels of electricity/energy. He also made a suit in around 30 minutes-1 hour after almost being beaten to death. Most of the tech bats uses is developed by lucius. He also made web shooters at like 15 or 14 years old but every spidey does that except tobey i guess. He also helped build doc ocks arms that are wayyyyy faster than the human reaction time and are durable enough to survive small explosions . He did the work for the nueral interface and stuff. He literally made a cure or serum for tombstones invulnerability and it worked. And he made it within an hour or less probably (In gametime it was like 2 minutes) he also made tech by himself that can analyze chemical components on a sub atomic level with limited budget.

Why comparing a guy with superhuman, unreal abilities to a guy that only uses his strength, gadgets and intelligence, without any unreal stuff. We don't even know how strong this web is or how much of it can be produced. Moreover, batman can be anyone, spiderman is always the same guy.
I don't like Marvel characters mainly because of the fact that their power cannot be measured and is sometimes so unlimited that comparing them to even the most powerful beings of Marvel fails. Look at what they did to Thanos. At this stage you can just come up with a godlike character and spiderman can still beat him as long as he has some magic artifact.

If Batman is light speed then that means that every random human is light speed since they have no problem hitting or keeping up with him. Power scaling is just bullcrap. Writers don’t care about the physics and implications of their characters’ feats. They just want to write a kool scene.

I've been trying to tell a good number of my friends who like these things that Bats would be better put against someone who doesn't have super powers, but there's only a small margin of people in the Marvel Universe who don't have powers and they would still be a problem for him, that and I don't really know if they made any Marvel Games comparable to the Arkham series that actually don't have powers, unless you wanna count the Iron Man Games, but that might be overkill.

However there’s no denying the fact that he isn’t nearly as proficient in the air as he is on the ground - an issue that Spiderman doesn’t share, if anything Parker usually prioritises fighting opponents in the air when given the chance if the in game dialogue with criminals is anything to go off of
That’s not even factoring in that this is a one shot scenario in the air or ground 🤔

Spiderman's abilities alone is enough to push him over the top but the fact that he's also a genius means Batman's one big advantage isn't even that big.
Spiderman has been able to create his own cures, suits, and gadgets with no money.
