Today we check out the 2023 Chrysler 300, back again for it's 19th model year! First introduced in 2005, the 300 is an icon, and one of the last cars left in the large car segment to offer a V8. Sadly, it's dying slowly (selling just 7,581 times in 2022, its worst year ever), and not much has changed for several years. Following this model year, the 300 will be discontinued. Will Chrysler make some substantial changes for 2023? Let's find out!

How much mileage is on it ? If I may ask ...
Have chrysler 300 2006 driving from last 11 years . Still love it with 384000 kms . Beast
@DESI D ... I'm thinking about getting the 23 AWD v6 ... I'm 33 and have NEVER owned an automatic ... personally I would stay driving a stick shift until I am physically unable to but by that time internal combustion engine vehicles won't even be made anymore so I figure why not start enjoying an automatic now from this point on ??? ... not a fan of the gear selector but there doesn't appear to be any issue nor recalls all throughout 2022 so this last model year should be fine ... I thought about getting the charger awd v6 but I just don't like how LONG it is ... I like the wide stocky box shape of the 300 more so I figure this is a better buy ... either way they both will be iconic given 2023 is the final year of them having any internal combustion engine ... and I LOVE awd so the v6 is best for me
I personally think the styling holds up.
Not every car has to look, or be cutting edge in every aspect so to speak. Look at how beloved cars like the OBS chevys and the crown victora were, look at things like the pontiac g8/firebird Chrysler 5th Avenue, or the Lincoln town car. Those last 2 retained body styles for nearly a decade (the town car finally lost the last of it's boxy corners by the mid 00s after nearly 3 decades of box, box, box)
"Old" styling can hold up and I firmly believe this body style 300 will remain desirable and considered attractive long into the future. It really is a good looking American car with no BS or wannabe sporty fluff.
RIP Chrysler 300 1999-2023 it's been a good run👌👍
No thanks to Stellantis, the eurotrash company that bought Mopar.
People do forget that the Modern day 300 nameplate started with the 99-04 LH platform 300M because Chrysler did continue the letter series from L to M 👌👍
@@calidronelife1572 The whole V6 FWD was the wrong move by Chrysler using the 300 name plate in my opinion.
The Chrysler 300 has been one of my favourites for as long as I can remember. I would be happy if Mopar puts their Hurricane I6 under the hood of a new generation of the 300.
Man I’ll never forget when my Cuzz bought a 2013 300c with the red seats, panoramic, 5.7 Hemi and he even swapped the radio to have apple CarPlay in it. Such a nice car
Those red seats really make a statement and the Hemi is awesome 👌
@@MarspeedCars why they don't put the hell cat engine in it I have no clue what going on with dodge
@@blacklighting2277 Well, we have the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, Red-eye and Jailbreak, but I get what you're saying though 😌
This is the first car I ever fell in love with. Saw it for my first time parked in an alleyway in Manchester in 2007 and was sold forever. It’s the only car I ever own. Had two so far.
Thanks for this video. Makes me think of my 2005 300C bought from Reedman Toll in PA for $34,400.00. Only bad feature was plastic hubcaps.
Damn they had hubcaps on the C model?
@@MarspeedCars Yes. Plastic glued to steel wheel. After we got home my friend called me. Look you have plastic wheels. Damn i said. Other bad was terrible Continental tires.. Upside was highway speeds 4 cyls shut down.
Damn wheel covers on the top of the line 300 ummm did they come from factory like that 🧐
@@CarringtonHollister Yes. Plastic somehow glued to a steel wheel. If you happen to see a 300 that year or newer check it out.
@@robertlyon4804 yup they called it chrome clad...but it was plastic (chrome) glued to steelies. And they were 20's lol
What's Chrysler's reasoning for discontinuing the AWD option for the V6 300S? Oh, and didn't the 300C sell out 12 hours after it was announced? Almost makes me wonder if Chrysler decided to add to the production totals.
Love how my 2015 300s is nearly exactly the same as the 2023 300s!🤣🤣
I hope to see the 300 come back in one form or another one day, hopefully sooner than later.
I agree 👍 it was and still is a head turner. I have a 2011 loaded Limited. I had a 2005 Hemi before I bought the new style 2011 Limited. What a difference 👏 it was really a change first class interior all the bells and whistles to make it first class. Hopefully it's replacement will do as well.
First comment 😜 I wish they would have made a few special edition 300's. One being a hellcat of course.
Yeah I don’t see why they never chose to. Even the Durango got a few thousand 😢
@@MarspeedCars I'm still waiting to see a real life DUB edition 300 haha. Are you still loving your Chrysler Aspen?
It's a great car. And it'll be missed.
It’s such a pity Chrysler stopped selling this car in the UK. I am always being asked where I bought mine in the hope they can still be sourced
An AWD 6.4 hemi would be pretty cool for the 300
I'll keep my 1 of 23 made(Canadian market) 2014 srt 300
Bro that's rare! Never sell it, it's historic
That is a super rare collectors item for sure! Awesome car
@@MarspeedCars I drove it off the showroom floor with 28kms on it.
It now has 50000kms on it and had been down the track numerous times running the best of 12.91@ 111mph bone stock.
Won't ever sell it.
50,000Kms! I am glad you actually drive your rare 300, instead of keeping it bubble wrapped tucked in a garage.
@@maryland77 oh it sleeps most of the time in a heated garage. I did buy it for me but I'm doing my best to keep it minty
Besides the lane departure system. My 2014 charger rt max awd has all the same stuff. These are basically parts cars. They’re trying to get rid of extra inventory
I have a 2019 gray one with black rims. They didn’t change much at all. He’s absolutely right. The 2021, and 22’s look no different then what I have. But because it looks like this is the last run for the 300. I wouldn’t mind buying a 2023, just because🤷🏽♂️. I really love the 300’s.
RIP 🪦 Chrysler. It’s been a good run
Really wanted to get one of these when I heard they were being discontinued, but I would want the v8 (5.7) and the unavailability of equipping it with AWD might be a deal breaker.
Just ordered mine 😊. This kind of car is a dying breed at mainstream prices. Comfortable full-size sedans with a V6, with AWD available, that ride softer and better than the everyday harsh 'sports' suspension of today, are disappearing. You have to go to up at least to $55k+ with a largely untested Genesis. Lexus' full size offering, the LS, is crazy expensive, and gets mixed reviews.
If you can live with the 'dated' styling (subjective, but I think it still looks great and a nice alternative look in today's world) the 300 is where it's at. For those who doubt Chrysler quality, the Pentastar V6 has a good reputation, and the 300 has proven itself to be well screwed together.
Well said. I was looking at a Genesis G80, but it's hard to justify paying more than double for a few additional features. Although the 300 has a dated interior, it has a fair share of safety options and its exterior remains a classic. Especially since most newer cars are going smaller.
I have a 09 300 T Loaded 52 K original miles onl;y time it's been in the shop is for recalled Air bages...Love my chrysler and murdred out Ram single cab 1500 no issues with either!
I drove the charger with the same 5.7 and seme plataform. What a beast!
what bothers me most about the 300 is its dated interior and the headlight housing.. like instead of the dotted DTRL why not make it a continuous strip
I love these, but I kind of agree with you, because even the Charger's lights are continuous & have been since the 2015 model year.
I owned the 2005c, 2014 touring, 2014c and now I finally have the 2014s...I think all models are great, but definitely love the C model most
Great video. That 300C is awesome!
thinking about getting the 23 v6 awd ...
I have a 2009 SRT Diesel from new. If I could buy the new version here in the UK I would.
I have a 2021 300s v8 in gloss black with 19.2k miles and i love it... Would've got a 6.4l v8 if i could
I have a 2020 300 S. I just got a call that a 2023 C became available. I just put in my deposit. Time to sell the 2020...
The black theme continues inside with black Laguna leather upholstery, contrasting silver stitches, carbon fiber accents, and Piano Black trim. There is a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment touchscreen, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system, and Apple CarPlay with Android Auto connectivity. Safety-wise, the 2023 Chrysler 300C has lane departure warning, advanced brake assist, and full-speed collision warning. Also not mentioned is that is has the SRT round tailpipes in black and heated cooled cup holders that stopped in 2014? Plus brembos front and back.
Enjoy 👌🏿
I wish it were a permanent model and that they had brought it into production earlier.
I just dont know why Chrysler its changing this vehicles, such a wonderful and reliable vehicle, I will not change this car for no other car or any car 300S number one....👍👍👍
Great vide, thank you. These good news. I might think getting this one or Charger in 2023. Depends on prices...
I work with GSP Transportation Inc they own 20% of Hertz corporation and my employer has been buying Chrysler’s products including 300’s.
I own two 300's: a 2005 300 C V8 and a 2018 300 S V6. My plan is to trade the 2018 300 S V6 for an '18 or newer 300 S V8. I am good.
They restricted sales on this model.I know dealerships that have a number of them on special order and they can not fill the orders!
Marspeed keep up the great work 😃😃💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍👍
Can’t wait to hear the 19 speaker Harmon kardon system in the new c!
I love my 2019 300 Touring. Sad to know when I need a new car it won’t be another 300.
Do you if you'd be able to import one from across seas? They follow the emissions and crash safety National Regulations.
So basically in Canada this car is only available 20 vehicles per province (10 provinces) at a selling price of $80 thousand dollars Canadian plus tax. Just to let people know
I'd love for you to do a vid on the recently discontinued CHEROKEE (💔) and Renegade (😮) !!
We all need to face the facts that ev cars slowly about to take over
these cars will sell like hotcakes
How much mileage on the Ram SRT p/u ? to win.
Nothing has changed*
Good luck finding a C for sticker.
I n Canada that the highest you would pay is MSRP plus licence fee and tax. Nothing more That is required
@@erniearruda8861 not so in the US. Dealers are free to price at whatever level they want. I will not be surprised to see pricing as high as $10,000.00 USD over the manufacturer's suggested retail price.
I don't understand why they would cancel I beautiful car and they should have kept the leather wood chrome and white wall tires instead we have these cookie cutter SUVs that look like over done station wagons driving around with black wheels that look like someone stole their hubcaps that blacked out look lacks classic and looks so cheap I thank God I was alive to see what a real classy car looked like even though I was a little kid I will take any of those car over the junk that is made today
Chrysler been their own worst enemy for years.
Best comment! Been saying this for years! I don’t get it!!! I hope they’re doing this to surprise us with an EV 300. It would be a scandal not to.
Didn't even know they still made those Chrysler 300.
My question is why are they not put hell cat engine in it 🤔
Maybe 6.2 supercharged is too much cost, they want a natural aspirated engine for common sedan cars, the 6.2 hellcat is too powerful and too expensive for family car. Hellcat is for muscle sport car's.....
Second comment!
Chrysler made another big mistake..I have a 2011 load ed 300 Limited and It stills turn heads from Lincoln's Cadillac driver's. I had a lot of cars in my time but nothing can beat the 300 series.
Nothing! I have always had one. And will always have one.
Chrysler is stupid for killing off this 300 C 4 door rear wheel drive V8 car and stupid for killing there Hemi V8 engines 😡😡😡😡👎👎👎👎
Chrysler is stupid for not having a Next-gen 300 ready for next year along with several new models. They should have atleast 8-9 vehicles on their roster.
If you got one keep it..take care of it. One can never tell what surprises wait the 300's 🤔
Bro the 6.4 in the Chrysler is love get a 05 hemi if u want but if u ready for it get the 6.4
@@dodge1515 👍🏾
You forgot to mention the C sold out in 12 Hours. A dealer near me said they are getting one and after the admin charge, they want $100.000K. for it
They should of made limited 300 helephant, like khal srt makes.
Wish there was an awd v8
So the new 300 is basically a scatpack
Will the 300 will come back for the next generation or we don't know? The Ford Mustang is the last v8 muscle car on the market in 2024. Ford just unveiled their new 2024 v8 mustang. Because dodge is going all electric, hybrid & twin turbo.
We don’t know. I honestly don’t think Chrysler will but never say never
@@MarspeedCars 😏We will lose the tried & true classic American hemi v8 muscle feel. Let's face it the hellcat engine has more horsepower and torque than the new 3.0L Hurricane inline-6 twin turbo. The proof is in the pudding. People want big v8 powered rear drive cars. I'm not just talking about specifically about hemis. I mean Big v8s in general. For 2024 we just have to jump on board what dodge is offering for the next generation chargers and challengers. That's just the way it is.😏
I have a check ready to write. But am told by the Dealer's sales staff Chrysler is not interested in selling me a new #300..
That Damn Penastar😂
Do you think a 2023 touring L with popular group is a good buy at 33k out the door?
The Chrysler 300 needs a new bodystyle and redesign it needs to look more like how the phantom is now and it should more like a expensive car and a Rolls-Royce phantom and here’s the trims that 300 should have scat pack hellcat demon redeye hellephant even the widebodys too and c too as well especially the 392 and Srt the 300 needs more attention and it should get after a new body style and redesign of it that’s what Chrysler should do and needs to do right now
Mexico is in North America, by the way…..
North America is comprised of: Greenland, Canada, USA and Mexico; respectively.
Nice🇸🇦
I still like the car even better in what they have done for 2023, but to stop making them. I have a 2015 300c these cars are awesome. The 2023 is what was needed to skyrocket sales, I'm believing a miracle is going to take place, Chrysler will continue the 300.
Are the 300’s still available if ordered in December 2022 ?
Big reason why US auto industry is crashing, killing a beautiful car, neglecting promos, upscale advancement is limited by short-sighted management! Too bad!
I think the 5.7 hemi's is the best choice, best power and fuell consumption. The 6.4 hemi's is too large and thirsty imho....
The 8 speed with that engine should be a great combination
So this is the 2017 rebadged as a 2023
This ageing car has had more cosmetic enhancements than Michael Jackson. Chrysler needs new and more relevant vehicles if it’s to survive under the Stellantis Group. Nostalgia doesn’t sell cars.
The STUPIDITY of Chrysler management is beyond belief. The 300 was their top of the line vehicle. Good looking and the flaws were not all that bad, really.
They let the Chrysler 300 fail on purpose so they can promote their crossover vehicles or their European vehicles. 😥😥
Mexico is in North America 🤣😂🤭😊
I just got the touring L and was surprised how many features are missing. For the price I feel like blind spots detection should be standard
Mexico IS north america...
I like the look and would love one for a family car, but don't trust chrysler reliability.
TO STOP THEFT of THESE VEHICLES, REMOVE all batteries and chain lock- down, the hood. Do something to stop this crap.
5.7 350 hp lame
