Thanks Chris. I am excited about the hammock winter camping, have you tried it? Two days after this winter trip all the snow is pretty much melted. I am waiting for our next big snow dump!
Nice to see you back out, IC you folks that way got a big dumping as well as us south of you. forest looks gorgeous with the heavy snow. So sorry to hear about your knee injury it's a good thing that you are doing the exercises that oughta help some , at least you were able to get out and do what you love . your supper and oatmeal was fit for a winter's day always love your videos thanks for bringing us along .when you can no longer do winter camping go grab a bunkie , then take us for a hike in the woods Bunkies are fun this was fun as well thank you
lol, thanks Jake. I'm okay, I am slowly building the channel. I am still having for making these videos so that's the important thing. I honestly do not understand the algorithm or how RUclips works so I will keep making videos until I do not enjoy it anymore. But maybe I did piss off the wrong people! Thanks for watching, it's great to be able to film in the fresh snow!
Thanks, I appreciate it. My knee was a bit sore when I got back from the trip so I am glad I didn't go any further, still trying to rehab the knee. Thanks for watching.
Thanks, it was good timing. I was surprised how quickly the snow melted on my second day. We had a good base of snow but within three days it was all gone.
Thanks Jason. This wasn't a tough trip at all. I thought it was going to be colder but it wasn't too bad. I wanted to try some timelapses of the stars but it was too cloudy, next time.
Nice to see a winter video my friend. Sorry to hear about your knee. Looks like Jon from @lostlakes also had to cut trip short because of bum knee. Looks like a fun trip, thanks for sharing it!
Thanks Shane. It was a fun trip. My knee was okay. I actually have surgery scheduled this month on the knee. I saw that video on Lost Lakes, that looked brutal.
Just found your channel after searching for gear to record our own videos, watching this as I’m all set for winter camping but haven’t been out in minus temps yet.
Ah! You're doing it again! Cook over coals, not over open flame... you gotta be patient and let it burn down! Joking aside, looks amazing... Cheers from Toronto!
Wonderful stuff, a really relaxing watch! Sound wisdom at 20:00 !! I need to try to build a fire as you do....big logs on the bottom. I like my steaks, too, sans seasoning except for salt. I recently cooked a steak directly on the coals...worked well! Great video....thanks for sharing!
Thanks. I like to build the campfire with the logs on the bottom in the winter, and I found that dead tree wasn't as dry and I was hoping so I put those logs down as a base. I haven't tried the cooking on the coals yet, maybe I will give it a try. Thanks for watching.
Nice to see you back in the great outdoors. Looked like a fun trip. Beautiful footage. Sorry to hear about your knee. I hope it feels better. Is that a winter tent or a simple 3 season tent?
Thanks Sabrina. It was so much fun the film in the winter again, I really did miss it. My knee feels better, I am hoping to play hockey tonight! That was a 3 season tent. It worked pretty well. I am hoping to upgrade to a hot tent and stove in the near future. Have you tried winter camping?
Thanks Kelly, it was a great trip. I am glad I was able to get out to do some winter camping. Those gloves would be great for skiing. They are well made and do keep your hands warm. They were way to warm for my camping trip.
ha, thanks guys. I think you two would love winter camping. So quiet and peaceful in the snow. I was expecting it to be colder on this trip but the temp wasn't that bad. You should try in the spring when you may get some nice sunny weather.
Ya I screw up my terms all the time, I did catch that but I thought what the heck I will leave it in. You wouldn't believe the terms I miss up. Although I could have really used some baklava on this trip, I forget to bring any dessert, or desert...see what i did there?
This was a fun trip, just after that massive storm went through much of North America.
Looks like fun David, thanks for sharing. I always enjoy your vids. Cheers.
Thanks for watching Fred. This was a fun trip. Two days later most of that snow has melted!
So good to see you back out and about Dave! I'm really looking forward to the winter hammock camping adventure!!
Thanks Chris. I am excited about the hammock winter camping, have you tried it? Two days after this winter trip all the snow is pretty much melted. I am waiting for our next big snow dump!

Thanks, I appreciate it. My knee was a bit sore when I got back from the trip so I am glad I didn't go any further, still trying to rehab the knee. Thanks for watching.
Looks like you had a nce early winter camping trip. You lucked out with the weather and snow conditions when you went out!
Thanks, it was good timing. I was surprised how quickly the snow melted on my second day. We had a good base of snow but within three days it was all gone.
You’re a braver man than I Dave…does look fun though! Take care of that knee! 😎👍🏻

Good luck on your winter camping trip. I have a few trips planned as well...just need the snow!
Ah! You're doing it again! Cook over coals, not over open flame... you gotta be patient and let it burn down! Joking aside, looks amazing... Cheers from Toronto!
Ha, someday I will learn. Fortunately I didn't run the steak but it's so tough to be patient!

damn be careful out there with a that snow and the falling trees.
Love the fluffy snow. Looks like you had a nice relaxing trip. Would you recommend those gloves for skiing? Thanks for sharing the video Dave.

Happy new year Dave! Great video, loved the editing. Winter camping looks peaceful but i just can’t handle the winter temperatures lol

@@DavidNorthFilms we’ll definitely have to try it out! I’ll pack extra long johns lol
Also, a baklava is a delicious traditional pastry dessert. A balaclava keeps your head warm in the winter.
