  • It was the super moon and the blue moon so I had to sleep out under the stars. No tent, No hammock, just sleeping under the stars. This was my minimal gear camping setup. I cooked up some delicious meals and enjoyed a beautiful campfire
    Thanks for watching, I always appreciate it.

    Great camera work, excellent narrative, lousy fisherman - enjoyed every minute.

      Thanks, I would argue about the lousy fisherman comment but, yep, I am lousy at fishing. I hope to improve but I am starting to think that in general fish really don't like me!

    The colours of those trees are amazing. Good pan but I know what you mean their a bum to clean.
    Always enjoy the films and background bird noises.

      Thanks. This was a nice relaxing trip. The cleanup after cooking is always a pain, but it has to get done! Thanks for watching!

      Thanks Sue. The moon was incredible. I just wish I had some experience filming the moon. It was a great chance to get some nice footage but it was so bright my shot didn't really work out, but having the moon shine on the campsite was incredible. Thanks for watching.

    Keep these videos coming. I am loving them. They are beautifully shot and you really make solo camping look fun. We haven't tried the cowboy or tarp camping yet but hopefully we will in the future. Honestly I am a little worried about the spiders! Well, thanks for sharing your channel is 1 of 3 RUclips channels that I have all the notifications on for!

      Thank you Sabrina. That's nice of you to say. The tarp camping does take some getting used to but once you try it, it's a lot of fun. I am not gonna lie, there are spiders, I think I have been bitten by a few but they really don't bother me. Thanks for adding the notifications, what are the other two channels that you have the notifications on for?

    Thanks nice video !!....I agree, oatmeal is the worst food although a staple for most campers why ??, perhaps they have bathroom issues. I prefer Knorr Sidekicks as quick and easy. Thanks again.

      Ya there's got to be a better solution to a quick and easy breakfast than oatmeal! I get why it is so popular. I do love my bacon and eggs in the morning! Thanks for watching.

    Hi Dave, I'm fresh new to the channel, I'm really enjoying your videos, checking them one by one. Could you please make one reviewing your cooking gear? Fire methods, tips, etc. Thank you!

    • @DavidNorthFilms
      @DavidNorthFilms  10 месяцев назад

      Thanks and welcome to my channel. I don't really do gear review videos as stand alone videos. I prefer to use the gear on my trip and if I like it I will talk about it in my video and actually use it in the videos. I could certainly give some fire and cooking tips.

    Hi Dave, Awesome video :-) what brand of frying pan is that and where can I get one ?

    • @DavidNorthFilms
      @DavidNorthFilms  10 месяцев назад

      Thanks Shawn. My frying pan is a Stanley kit. It comes with the frying pan, dishes, spatula and a cutting board. It packs up pretty small and it was not that expensive. Good luck.
