The Different rooms at the beginning of the game are based on the seven sins. In order of appearance: -Gluttony: Food everywhere. -Envy: Eyes staring at you, wanting you. -Greed: Gold and money everywhere, with a stone statue being thrown in the dumpster. -Lust: Abortion symbolism. -Sloth: The TV's and music slowing you down as you attempt to walk. -Wrath: A large black figure terrifying a smaller one with the interview of a nuclear bomb creator. -Pride: Statues of people looking in mirrors
@@NiGHTS4life Simply put, lust would be a strong sexual desire. Not the desire to have children, not the desire to start a family, but a desire for sex. A common outcome of sex (without birth control) is pregnancy, and a common theme among zealots is the idea that one should not engage in sex without the intent to raise any resulting children. Abortion could, therefore, be viewed as an act only a sinfully lustful person would ever have performed on them. A person willing to have sex, but unwilling to deal with the possible ramifications of such an act. It is worth mentioning, of course, that many abortions occur due to unforeseeable complications, or choices made outside of the control of the person who is seeking the abortion. One example of each of those parties, respectively: those with an ectopic pregnancy, or those who survive a sexual assault situation. Even something as conceptually simple as a torn condom could lead someone to an unwanted pregnancy, though some folks I have discussed this topic with would argue the breaking of the condom was an "Act of God" and thus seeking an abortion would be "killing a gift from God, granted only through his divine intervention in an attempt to give them an opportunity to repent from their act of lust." (exact quote) Obviously, the RUclips comments section for a spooky game video is the wrong place to have an abortion morality debate, and that's not what I'm seeking here, nor am I trying to support either view on the issue. I'm merely trying to clarify how abortion could relate to the sin of lust. I hope this helped.
@NiGHTS4life I believe the insinuation would be unbridled lust can lead to unwanted pregnancies whether one is ready or not, so aborted and bleeding fetuses is a particularly macabre and morbid way to allude to it when if indirectly. This is especially with all the other Christian (by its most brutal interpretations mind you) subtexts all throughout
The scene with the player character being hit with the angel’s sword and screaming is legitimately one of the most unnerving things I’ve seen in an online horror video. Adding the interesting story and how quickly we get into it, I really think this is going to be something worth sticking around for.
Bro the baby scene, I watched night mind's video on this video and the baby scene was to represent lust but holy shit I didn't expect it to be that morbid
I absolutely love how this ACTUALLY looks like a PS1 game. Straight from the animated intro and dialog boxes to the gameplay. Now THIS is an game-based arg that has done it's homework.
Maybe if you only count the 3D. All the dialog boxes and interfaces have inconsistencies with the resolution of an actual PS1 game. Kind of has the same problem as NES Godzilla where the author couldn't seem to decide how big pixels are supposed to be.
No not really, I mean the whole thing just looks amazing from great fitting animations and models to actual greatly done animations, but it definitely doesn't look like a ps1 game, I look at it and it feels more like a n64 or an NDS game, ps1 was considerably more crusty.
Aww, little bit sad this ain't a hidden gem that never got released situation because I'm digging the Porco Rosso meets Animal Crossing with MegaMan Legends graphics this got going for it. But otherwise this is really impressive and you had me fooled for way longer than you would think, amazing job dude.
Not a religious person myself, but I don't understand why more lost media doesn't delve into the topic more. Very promising, and idk if Jesus was supposed to scare me, but he scared the hell out of me
The moment when that painting moved was golden. Absolutely fantastic. More effective for me than the jump scares were because it was a much more unexpected turn.
And watched by a multilingual audience! Folks from every country and language group that's appeared thus far have sounded off in the comments, and its been really cool all around!
That is deadass one of the sickest angel designs I've ever seen. This is what I love about these old games, the constraints of the graphics breeds creativity in the designs.
I love the inclusion of the golden calf as the fox after the 7 deadly sins areas and the church, really hammering in that the purple fox is one of evil. And how the fox could be a false idol.
¡Esto es muy buen hecho amigo! I also love the detail of all the kids' flags of origin being masted down as opposed to Matias's. His is still up, signifying that he's either just alive or even still holding out hope. ¡Te pido buena suerte por el futuro! Can't wait to see what you do next!
@@siggymilfordjigutzpilgrid There's a Bible story where the rescued slaves (after Moses leaves for a month to forge the 10 Commandments) build a statue of a golden calf as a replacement god because they lost faith in God. The golden calf is typically a symbol of false idolship in media hence, it's inclusion here.
@@siggymilfordjigutzpilgrid I mean, the start of the scene the fox came back to the kid and stole all his money, and then he went with some sketchy guy to a weird scenery.
I'm still wrapping my head around the story and symbolism, but can we talk about how well designed this fictional game is?? The sound design and the ui and the art style and everything make the parts of the video that aren't scary feel really believable, like this is a real game I could have picked up back in the day. It makes the scarier parts hit harder to me, I think this is the first PS1 horror type piece that I could associate with something nostalgic from my own childhood!
If you want to help spread the word, I would recommend sharing the video with people interested in lost media, although there's not much information on the web that I could find, but we might as well try.
I would suggest this to Bazamalam, he watches stuff like this all the time! I mean, I think he would be MUCH more willing to accept when the author asks him directly rather than a nobody like myself.
16:22 has genuinely gotta be one of my favorite horror moments ever. I love the idea of being faced by a monster or threat you can’t properly process or identify. Even knowing the moment’s about to happen it makes my stomach drop every time. Brilliant.
Hey NightMind brought me here (cheers) and I just want to say thank you for presenting this “straight”…no fluff, nonsense, reactions, just straight up footage. Best way to let us in to the world.
@@cocoapixels yeah since it’s just “cold” (so to speak) footage I think it’s timed appropriately. If it was being played by someone honestly it might not be as well-timed but I was pretty engaged just watching the sequences. Love this medium for content.
Its so interesting how Kazuya's house has shoes in front of it, especially since abandoned pairs of shoes in Japanese media often symbolize suicides/is a common trope for people to take their shoes often before ending their own lives. Actually, my first encounter with this trope was Aika Village from Animal Crossing, where its theorized the mother committed suicide by drowning with the red shoes found by the ocean, which is a coincidence since the aesthetic of the game is very much familiar with that of the Animal Crossing franchise. Plus if this game is trapping people in it, which it seems with Matias, than death could be seen as the only escape hence why the person committed suicide.
it could be that, but its also could be referencing the fact japanese people dont wear shoes inside, they use slippers, for cleanliness. but they usually change inside the house by the front door, or bring the shoes in after changing, so considering its outside and visible your theory has a good chance to be true.
0:19 Just in case people were curious, the Japanese text after "subject" says "Green Valley" in English (the pronunciation is literally "gureen bareh") Also on the Onixware screen, the text reads "Your heart is in our hands"
If Valley is pronounced with a long E at the end, why would the Japanese version not end in an I (E) sound, rather than an E (A/Eh)? I'm not a Japanese speaker, but it's confusing based on the small amount I _have_ seen and (afaik) understood WRT romanization & borrow words (or words they decided to put in English for stylistic reasons).
@@Kiss_My_Aspergers Nah, the way it's written is accurate. That's how they tend to transliterate "lly" or "rry". Think about how the japanese word for "curry" is カレー. Looking up "valley" on jisho and scrolling down a bit also confirms this.
The level of detail in this is absurdly good. Can't wait for more of this! also I love the detail at 4:28 where the only remainder of Kazuya is his shoes. In Japan people take off their shoes before committing suicide, which heavily implies that he killed himself to try and escape digital damnation.
Absolutely love the almost Akira Toriyama-esque art style juxtaposed with the more somber, turned horrific elements. Really looking forward to seeing more of your work ! :>
@@a.jlewissonicski5278 I honestly thought it was going to be a Zelda related game, seeing the title screen. Although this is a PS1 game, so it would've been strange.
@@anguset Aaah that's fair, to each their own opinion and point of view ! Though I'd defo recommend to go read a couple pages of Arale. I feel like a lot of the NPC's have the same sort of "little guy"' energy.
@@maraganger IG I can kinda see how it could superficially remind someone of Arale. Chibi proportioned middle aged guys with strong features and wrinkles. It’s just that I don’t recognize any of the features Toriyama uses when drawing those faces.
Here's a couple things I've noticed / I'd like to point out while I skimmed through this video from back to back: - [15:32] The words that show up around the "portal" read "Liberté, égalité, fraternité", which is the national motto of France - [16:26] The display message is shown to be written on 5 different languages: English, Italian, German, Spanish, and a fifth one [which I honestly don't know the name of ^_^; if it exists, that is]. We know from 0:36 that the game is only available on the first four languages, so it is unknown why the message is displayed on a fifth language. - [17:04] The name of this unseen character is "The Accuser". I read another comment on this comment section saying that this scene in particular is a reference to the sin of man and the Forbidden Fruit. Sometimes Lucifer is known as the "accuser angel". - [18:58] The song that plays in the background is called "Doblando el codo", a song by Angel Vargas / Orquesta Armando Lacava. No idea why the song is sometimes credited to one or both artists, but I am certainly sure its an Argentinian song. - [19:12] The sketchbook shows drawings made by Benjamín Solari Parravicini, an argentinian artist who was known for his prophetic drawings and his supposed psychic abilities to see future events. - [14:47] The "Statue of Liberty" that is briefly shown here is actually a 3D rendition of one of Parravicini's prophetic drawings from 1939, in which he predicted the fall of the World Trade Center that occured on September 11, 2001. I'll edit this comment documenting my findings [If I find any more ^_^]
That "5th" language looks a bit off... It's a sentence that's 6 words long, much more shorter than the other languages and it's not using Arabic numerals in it for the dates (assuming there is any dating, which based on a glance is entirely written out in this case - "22" and "1997" both have repeated numbers, and taking a closer look, the language doesn't repeat any characters in a row) which the other 4 languages do.
Something to note here is that Foxxo, Ito, and Dr. Neetow appear to be demonized by the "malfunctioning" AI whenever the AI modifies the game. Foxxo comes off as greedy with his solid gold statue in the introduction cutscene, but it looks like the AI exaggerated his greed to the point of Foxxo outright robbing the player after the beginning cutscene. I'm not sure how the AI warped Ito's personality's here, but the AI did change up his textures to become a *soulless husk* at 18:00 and they ask the player to collect "faces" for the carnival because "The Smiling" asked them to, so the AI probably saw some form of lust/greed in his passion for history and made him more demonic as a result. I don't see any characterization from Dr. Neetow either, but the AI probably found his obsession for robotics as lust, and maligned him thusly. Foxxo, Ito, and Dr. Neetow are also the only people seen at 14:57 to enter the hidden "alley" area that leads to the forest area that triggers a jumpscare that activates what's apparently the game over cutscene for whatever reason. And they're never seen again in either of those areas. Unless... At 15:45 there's a figure in the distance under one of the statues. At first I thought this might've been a sideways character in the ground, but using the < and > keys to navigate frame by frame I've concluded it might actually be a thing with two disconnected appendages just raising its right limb to move further... which leads into the ugly jumpscare monster at 16:20! Going frame by frame, you'll notice the ugly jumpscare monster actually has no body, just its face and their hands! So it COULD be that the jumpscare monster is that figure in the fog, but if it was, it'd have to be much larger. So maybe it's another character or there are multiple monster things of different sizes. Or maybe the jumpscare monsters are actually just Foxxo, Ito, and Dr. Neetow in a different form? Hard to say with just this beginning video for now... if what is hinted/suggested at during around 11:20 is true - (that there are people trapped inside the game and Matias is supposed to be able to move around in the world and view through his character's face) then that would suggest that there is also an mind inside foxxo and something was actually viewing through foxxo's eyes during the scene where foxxo's statue turned into a golden calf statue when not being viewed at directly.
there are also a quote of J Robert Oppenheimer about Bhagavat Gita at 9 minutes something, a poem Lovely Lady Dressed In Blue by Mary Dixon Thayer read by Archbishop Fulton Sheen. at 16:26, the date March 22, 1997 is the date when Hale-Bopp comet was the closest to the Earth. at 18:20, the untranslated text says "The Smiley asked me to collect 10 Faces for this Carnival". I googled "El Sonriente", found a Spanish creepypasta with the same name, but not much more. 20:39 the name of the character is "Est vir qui adest" - from wikipedia: quid est veritas What is truth? In the Vulgate translation of John 18:38, Pilate's question to Jesus (Greek: Τί ἐστιν ἀλήθεια;). A possible answer is an anagram of the phrase: est vir qui adest, "it is the man who is here."
@@mysticalkeyblade759 If you have watched the whole video by this point, then the religious content will be more obvious (the first appearances are more metaphorical, or requires historical context to understand -- I would suggest reading some of the longer analysis comments, as they're more helpful in this regard). Essentially, there's a running theme of sin and guilt throughout the footage; several of the actions the player character takes suggest a type of spiritual uncleanliness. The ending (perhaps) brings redemption into the matter, as well. The presentation is highly abstract. All you need to understand Valle Verde's narrative is "something spooky is happening with this game involving unethical practices and spiritual intervention," but knowing the small references enhances one's understanding of it all.
Can I just say it's genuinely praiseworthy that you did enough research to have the correct 1990's Georgian flag. Most people not from Georgia wouldn't be aware that Georgia changed their flag in 2004.
i can’t get over how absolutely GORGEOUS this is. the art-style is so unique and full of character, which offers a stark contrast to the game’s scarier elements, and the sound design manages to lull you into a sense of nostalgia and comfort, only to completely rip it away from you without notice. the jumpscares here are used perfectly here, sparingly, and well-mixed in with the general atmosphere. i can’t wait to sit down and properly analyse this when i have the time.
Anomaly 15 being a reference to that one Back to the Barnyard meme had me rolling. A brief and light reprieve from the deathly tension I felt going into that church scene, this is utterly brilliant. More, please!
@Danny Dolan I think he means that scene where Otis does funny poses behind a mailman while he is looking away, but when the mailman turns around, Otis immediately stands on all fours like a normal cow. Foxxo's statue stands on four legs only when its owner is facing away from it too. Honestly this is likely not intended but I can see how this scene can jog the memory.
I like this angle, a lot. It feels like an actual tribute to Catholic/ Christian belief as it goes over things most people don't even think of. Sure we think of Seven Deadly Sins, but lust is taken to an angle that actually makes sense from a religious perspective other than just "sexy time", that being the consequences and abuse of said activity. Just, it speaks to me and feels like it's been researched for the topic at hand. Realistic (as far as we know) angel depictions, the fall of man, and how the Devil takes on many forms and names as well as occupations. And even if this is just for the scary side of Christianity/ Catholicism, there's plenty for that too! I mean, TONS of scary stuff happens in the Bible, I'm surprised people haven't used it more for that whether they believe or not. And making a religious-focused project like this in this day and age is gutsy and brave since religion is often shunned, and ironically demonized. Great work here, man!
I wanted to add on, the first time I saw the Jesus poster start moving made my heart sink more than the satanic imagery, Especially cause I just read the passion before discovering this project. The feeling of grace from damnation was almost artful and I'm really excited to see where he takes it. It feels like a breath of fresh air from the "Faith has been wrong" air that normally gets aired out from other horror pieces. Ordinarily and in my opinion, the equation of faith being meaningless in the face of horrors beyond our imagining as a generalized theme in horror media (example being Hellraiser, the church scene specifically) really gives weight to the feeling of being saved at that ending scene.
@the.seagull.35 Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part but this felt like one of the few times religion and Christianity is depicted as a force for good in a horror setting. I was pleasantly surprised by this since I'm used to the opposite, and it gets annoying as a Catholic who is into horror media. Disclaimer, this is how I interpreted the message, and I don't know the intended message and themes of the creator.
I hope this gets noticed more. The amount of effort you put into this is absolutely insane and it was a joy to watch for the first time. Can't wait for more to this series.
Putting the horror aside for a moment can I just say I love the style for the game this is supposed to be? If it weren't for the children getting trapped inside I would absolutely play this if it were real! I'm interested to see where the story goes, it isn't often you see found footage horror with religious themes, I'm eagerly looking forward to the next part! Edit: I forgot to add, that angel model for in front of the church was amazing!
The sound effect at 17:04 sounded familiar to me, and then I realized it's the same as the Something sound from Omori, which at first seemed odd because Omori is a newer game. But Omori actually isn't where the sound first came from, it's actually a preset in a soundfont... and the premade samples from that soundfont have been used in many games, most notably Spyro 2 in the song "Mystic Marsh," which is a PS1 game! So the sound effect is actually from a sound pack that is time period accurate for a PS1 game, because it was actually used in a _real_ PS1 game. Sorry that this is completely unrelated to like, the actual important stuff in the video. I just think the origins of sound effects are interesting.
I love how instead of just gameplay by one person, it shows the anomalies reported by play-testers during that time. Which is something I've never seen in an analog horror video before, let alone a gameplay analog horror video. Really impressive stuff! Can't wait for part 2!
Just found out about this, and it seems really cool so I'm going to be taking some notes as I watch which I will come back to and edit them as I see fit. 0:19 - The katakana text here reads "Green Valley". The report stating that there is "malfunctioning A.I." implies that whatever game we are about to see possesses a significant amount of artificial intelligence, which I find noteworthy considering that this kind of game typically has little (if any) A.I., instead opting to use scheduled movements for characters. This game also apparently has "specialized hardware", which we will later learn is referring to the THBrain device. 0:28 - "Your heart is in our hands." 0:31 - The Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology is a private university located in Fukuroi, Japan. It appears to have been historically a predominately engineering-focused university, but it also has a Department of Computer Science. 0:36 - There are four languages available: English, Italian, German, and Spanish. I will note the exclusion of Japanese as a selectable language. 1:31 - The name "TEST05" highly implies (but does not outright confirm) the existence of at least four previous testers before the person we are watching play this game. 2:35 - Shima is Japanese for island. 4:22 - I believe that this sequence is revealing to us people who are trapped inside the game. (Some of them are possibly previous testers.) There's Jansug, Kazuya, Oliver, Chloe, and Matias. 5:06 - Before Foxxo mentions "The Smiling One", who appears to be an authority figure above even Foxxo, we can see the text "COM". Maybe this stands for "computer"? It is theorized by some (and I find it a rather compelling theory) that these red text boxes are being generated by a rogue A.I. within the game program. 5:52 - Foxxo appears to be a pretty blatant satire of both politicians and authority figures in general - lording money and power over those who keep them in power to ensure their continued success. Not to mention that he gives you housing "for free", but then immediately places you in crippling debt that no person could ever recover from. Real landlord behaviour. 6:12 - It appears that in an unmodified copy of the game, this path would immediately lead to an area with a large cross. It continues the Christian imagery that we saw earlier with the statue of the Virgin Mary sitting nearby to where this game was discovered. That being said, I'm unsure of the imagery here. It could perhaps be a reference to the famous quote "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche", or "Let them eat cake.". This quote is typically invoked to demonstrate the callousness and uncaring nature of the rich and powerful when it comes to the suffering of those they deem "beneath them". 6:46 - Ah... that is upsetting. The only potential link I can draw from these eyes is that they could be referencing the Eye of Providence, which is a Christian symbol that represents the watchful eye of God who interferes with and protects humanity. The statues also invoke imagery of the Cyclops from Greek mythology, but that might just be for aesthetics. Maybe all of this doesn't mean anything, and it's just creepy as hell. 7:04 - I am not very well acquainted with the world of abstract art, so I would love if anyone could tell me what the paintings seen here are titled. 7:44 - The painting seen here is "Christ Carrying the Cross" by Titian in 1508. It's another piece of Christian imagery, and its presence next to a dumpster bin doesn't leave much to the imagination. Additionally, we can see the statue "David" which was created by Michelangelo between 1501-1504. Once again, a piece of Biblical art literally in the trash. 7:54 - The colouring of this area combined with the wet squelching sounds, the cries of an infant, the rhythmic contracting that shakes the screen, and the blood immediately brings to mind (to me, at least) a womb. This connection is further cemented by the pair of scissors/forceps wielded by a gloved hand that follows the player. The "womb" setting combined with the religious aspects mixed with the hands holding forceps brings to mind the whole debate about the ethicality of abortion and how it relates to religion. (Namely Christianity.) 8:46 - This discussion seems to be related to difficulties of finding a job (or even just working) in a struggling economy, as well as just being about the economy in general. 9:12 - This is a quote from J. Robert Oppenheimer during an interview concerning the first detonation of an atomic bomb. The code name of this test was "Trinity", which fits neatly with the themes of Christianity. 10:18 - I should note now that the previous rooms seem to fit pretty well into the formula of the seven deadly sins. Gluttony, Envy, Greed, Lust, Sloth, Wrath, Pride. Also, angels: yet another Christian motif. 10:40 - Note the phrase "Patient 02" to refer to (presumably) Matias. 11:11 - Here we learn that Matias knows of Chloe. 11:44 - Here we see a word being typed out, but we only get to see "nos" before it gets cut off. This was likely intended to be the word "nosotros", or "us". 12:05 - The poem being recited is "Lovely Lady in Blue" by Mary Dixon Thayer, and it is being recited by Fulton Sheen. The eponymous "Lovely Lady" is the Virgin Mary - yet another appearance of her. 13:22 - Joseph of Cupertino is a Christian saint who is the patron saint of air travelers and pilots. This is literally a "time flies" joke. I love it. 14:03 - When he's not being observed, Foxxo's statue turns into a rendition of the golden calf from the Bible. It's a literal false idol. 14:48 - Okay, this is apparently a 3D rendition of one of Benjamín Solari Parravicini's drawings that supposedly predicted the events of September 11th, 2001. 15:32 - The words on the portal read "Liberté, égalité, fraternité" or "Liberty, equality, fraternity", which is the national motto of France. This could potentially be connected to the cake seen earlier, with the quote "Let them eat cake" being strongly linked to the French Revolution. (At least, in the public consciousness. 16:27 - March 22nd, 1997 is the date that the Comet Hale-Bopp got the closest to Earth it has ever gotten. We can also see the message written out in a fifth language that does not (to my knowledge) match any language on Earth. 16:55 - This scene is likely a reference to the myth of Adam and Eve who ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil after being tempted by a serpent. (This serpent was/is often depicted as being Satan in disguise by later Christians.) The word Satan in Hebrew can be translated as "accuser". 17:21 - This being appears to be either the Archangel Uriel or a generic cherub, as he wields a flaming sword (which is associated with the cherub who guards the Garden of Eden) and possesses six wings, which is a trait typically applied to seraphim, which some modern religious teachings identify Uriel as. He speaks in Morse code, saying "Glory be to the most high God, on hig[h]", which is a quote from the Book of Luke. 18:58 - The song that is playing is "Doblando el codo" by Juan Manuel Mañueco and Eduardo del Piano. 19:13 - These are more of Benjamín Solari Parravicini's drawings which were purported to foretell of future events 19:54 - This painting Saint John the Baptist as a Boy created by Bartolome Esteban Murillo in 1670. I am unaware of the names of the other two. The date and times that the footage comes from are: 02/14/1997 - 08:01 02/15/1997 - 11:15 02/17/1997 - 07:25 02/18/1997 - 16:14 02/19/1997 - 07:46 02/21/1997 - 15:31 Thanks to Ruslan Adayev and Katzenmort for some of the information presented here!
The one about "nos", it's funny the subtitles in English simply says nos. The tester was going to type "nosotros" ("us" in english) but got interrupted, the full frase being "He no longer works with us".
I hear those Digimon World nature sounds in Debug-Shima. Weird how I have heard it so much playing that game that I can even recognise it quietly in the background of this.
some of the footstep sounds are from resident evil 2. the fact we're recognising such tiny "forgettable" details is a huge part of what makes the horror so effective!

As someone with an admittedly basic understanding of Japanese, I find it interesting that the tagline under the Onixware logo,「あなたの心を私達の手に」(aka "Your heart is in our hands"), uses the kanji 心 (kokoro), which is most often translated as "heart", but can also mean "mind" or "spirit". I haven't watched the rest of the video yet, I paused to read the tagline and noticed the possible implications. Also a sidenote, I'm super proud of myself because I could read the tagline and understand it without needing my dictionary. I know it's a super basic sentence, but I'm still proud.

oh this looks cool! i have a vague memory of playing this in middle school, but i could never finish it thanks for this playthrough maybe I'll finally see the ending! Maybe I'm reading too deep into this, but it seems like a critique and a thematic product of current situation in Argentina. The thing about failing economy, consumerism and hard christian religion theming (am christian too and I'm aware either half of population in Argentina is either super christian or the exact opposite and wants to burn churches). There's also clear indication that the game is trapping people, turning them into NPCs and not allowing them to move. No clue what the other clips are used, but at 9:30 it's definitely Oppenheimer's famous speech after commiting to creation of atomic bomb.
There’s a lot of themes of the abandonment of god and religious sin. Like with the statue changing into the golden calf from moses and the stone tablets with the commandments and a voice tempting the player to eat literal forbidden fruit

FUCKING GENIUS. okay screaming over but I have more thoughts every single _second_ of this feels like a game i've played as a kid, not a specific one, but hundreds of low quality japanese games for the ps2/ps1 all jumbled together. this feels like a game you play as a kid and then try to reference to your friends thinking it was a universal experience only to find you are one of like 12 people who ever played that game. every single shot feels so _authentic_ its genuinely throwing me for a loop just how well you mimicked not only the art style but the _game making style._ places where cutscenes happen, dialogue boxes, character design, the kinds of cutscenes that happen (like that little zoom in on all the people when the main character first reaches town.) how _grounded_ and nostolgic the first few minutes feel really makes the horror hit harder i think, that feeling of "i totally could have played this./ i've played a game exactly like this." makes it all the more offputting when it starts getting weird
The addition of external hardware to explain any extra capabilities (and spookiness) as opposed to all this being done on a standard PS1 is a really nice touch to help suspend belief! I also appreciate the little details, like how the investigators are familiar with the game (skipping the intro FMV, speeding through dialog, ease of navigating the world/menus, etc.) and how there are enough context clues to where you can easily determine when dialog is 'vanilla' (blue textbox), AI generated (red), and player or separate AI generated (green). Onto things I didn't see mentioned, maybe because they were too obvious. - The first recording date is on Valentine's Day, another nod to Christianity however slight, and seems to be the fifth of five tapes - fitting then that the player names themselves 'TEST05.' - A little later on the world map whoever is playing pauses while they enable/unlock the debug island - another nice subtle detail! - The only house with a raised flag is Matias'. - It seems like there are overt religious themes in the vanilla game outside of whatever the AI is putting in (tree of knowledge references, the presence of a church, etc.) which brings ambiguity into how much of the religious themes and imagery can be attributed to a rogue AI. - Similarly, it's hard to gauge whether something like the mayor's statue and posters plastered in the bar are part of the vanilla game or something the AI added. - A transparent structure fades in and out behind the priest, somewhat resembling the angel which appears later. - There's definitely something about lambs and wolves going on in that one scene. Maybe an inversion of Isaiah saying that lambs and wolves will live in harmony or the morbid aftermath of Luke and Matthew sending lambs out among the wolves. - March 22, 1997 is the date of Hale-Bopp's closet approach and subsequently the Heaven's Gate incident. - At some point the player gained 155 coins. - Lastly, I know I've seen those birds at 19:48 before but couldn't tell you where they're from (edit: it's Kyorochan!) Excellent work through and through and I can't wait to see more!
Absolutely stunning. I cant even begin to imagine how many hours went into this project. As someone who also makes art, this blows my mind with the amount of love and detail that must have been poured into this to beget this level of quality. honestly deserves so much more viewership
Reading the most recent document on Alluvium's patreon completely re-contextualized the 3 parts so far. Like goddamn this series is really well done and fucking wild.
i dont think ive been this invested in a horror video like this since catastrophe crow. everything about this from the cute animal crossing like character to the dreadful feeling of the horror. im looking forward to watching what might unfold in the series.
came here from spaceman scott’s analog horror ranking video, felt that it wasn’t fair to just give him a view and not the actual creator (especially since, out all the ones he reviewed, valle verde caught my eye the most). glad i did because this is incredible! this feels like a natural progression of what petscop did, being a surreal fake video game with dark secrets attached, but being able to stand on its own amongst its peers without being easily compared. the interpretation of what the third impact would look like in a playstation game is probably one of my favorite sequences of animation ever. satisfying to watch from an artistic perspective but utterly bone-chilling from a mortal perspective. imagine being a 7 year old playing a game like this late at night and suddenly the game goes “lol check this out 😃”, instantly bombarding you with digital visions on how the world will end. as a hobbyist artist, i can’t even begin to comprehend how you got the ideas for this series and how you made some of these visuals but i love it all regardless. please keep up the good work.
This is like straight out of a vivid yet uncanny recurring nightmare about Animal Crossing that I’d have, with a side of well implemeted religious themes. I'm HOOKED
Okay...despite the very horrifying elements (it seems like it's kept some data of previous playtesters?) this honestly looks like a game I would be interested in playing myself. There's a certain charm to the intended design of it that would be very appealing, even without the AI features and the specialized hardware needed for them (much as I love the idea of an AI being able to generate new content, so a game can be truly endless). Though, it is kind of funny how the game script calls for Mayor Foxxo to give the player money, and the AI seems to have decided to take it back. LOL! (I wonder if the colour of text boxes indicates the tone of dialogue, or if the red boxes were a debug feature to show when the AI was generating new lines.) I'm impressed by the content generation too, of course. With modern advances in art generation and language parsing, it would be so much easier, but for the PS1 to do it the AI hardware must connect to the internet I would think (pretty sure the console couldn't) unless it had a really good database, and storage was tight back then (plus there's some weird assets for it to just have built in). Then again...with it describing the state of "patients" during the game, it almost sounds like they were trying to do some kind of neural link, and get an actual brain to be the AI! Or maybe that's exactly what they were doing, since the tester seems to be able to talk to an "NPC" like they're a person? Maybe one of their testers was too religious, and that led to all the strange imagery.
I think you're onto something with the red indicating the text is being generated by the AI, there's a gear there as well whenever it's red, which is a color and symbol that also seems to represent the AI judging by the menu at 18:22.
Also, I guess if we're to kinda go beyond the blue and the red, the green box also seems to show up specifically only when it's a ""real"" person talking (the glitchy people in the foxxo intro, matias in the bar, and.. jesus?)
A delightful game that has this art style is called Fantasy Life for the 3ds. Love the hell out of that game, though i would recommend pirating it due to the fact the estore is shutting down and you can’t get the dlc normally any more.
Back again, I can't believe this project is only a year old! If feels like I've been thinking about it for years.... No theorizing this time, just love!
The symbolism and themes here are so good. I could spend hours thinking about them. Also, it's really impressive how much this looks like a game, with different mechanics serving the story. The magnifying glass and zoom in features feel like a game mechanic I could use too
Saw this the other day and absolutely adore it. Easily the best example of “lost souls trapped in a video game” ARG thing I’ve ever seen - blows Petscop out of the water. Blew my mind. Fantastic stuff.
This is absolutely incredible, I have no words for how much I adore this, it almost makes me lament that this isn't a game i could've picked up and played as a kid despite getting the distinct feeling that i DEFINITELY played it
Haven't had this much intrigue into an analogue series since Gemini, I am soooooooo happy I found this early and can watch it grow along with the community! You're going places bro, buckle up for when this gets discovered lol
I've been waiting for something to scratch the itch that Petscop left behind, and this fucking delivers. Incredibly well made too. The old-school aesthetics are beautifully done, and the spooks are some of the most genuinely unnerving stuff I've seen in this genre of horror. Excited to see where this series goes.
For everyone that hasnt seen the community tab yet Alluvium, the creator of Valle Verde, said about 1 month ago that he should be releasing the next video in about 4 months
oh man, this is really well done! it looks exactly like a game id love-- which makes it all the freakier when weird things start happening lmao. subscribing and anxiously awaiting more!
The Art direction for this is stunning! so much effort and time must have been put into it, it absolutely nails the style its going for. I would love to play a game with this style (even if it turns out being cursed) !
those level transitions reminded me so much of amazing island. phenomenal job, my partner and i are huge fans of the lost innocent media turned horror especially with this era of game design
So the sound’s playing in 17:50 are samples from an album from the company, Zero-G. The first sound is the screams, which is “insect infestation” in cuckooland - ghost in the machine (this is also used in half-life 2 when travelling up the citadel). The next is also sampled from the album ghost in the machine, particularly bendy-man (this is used famously in postal 1 and redux in the level loading screen “the truck stop”). I’ll see if there are more samples from Zero-G used in the video.
at 16:27, the bottom language is enochian, or "the language of angels". having translated the runes it reads, "AECEIZER LA COTERLE IC IPRERI IDFA", though I've yet to find a translation of this phrase.
Its nice to see the forces of light infiltrating the game's code for a change at the end of the first part, its a breath of fresh air from all the times the monsters use the media format without any resistance besides the human victims.
I'm just gonna write information I figured out on my own idk if anyone had said any of this already but yeah So The person called Matias is either a child trapped in the game or is an AI based off of the child with his memories, its most likely that this happens through the THBrain device the seven rooms that test05 (which is the player character) goes through at 6:01 which are representing the seven deadly sins in order they were Cake room - Gluttony Eye room - Envy Money room - Greed Baby room? - Lust TV room - sloth Silhouette room - wrath Mirror room - pride Most are obvious but tv room and silhouette are different because there meaning comes from the audio in the room, TV room "you would rest while I work" "if you are a heavy sleeper" and the silhouette room's audio is from Oppenheimer's speech about the first atomic bomb explosion and the famous words "now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds". the name The smiling one is said two times that I know of, the first time its said by Foxxo at 5:07 and the second is by Ito the museum guy at 18:20 although the English subtitles don't translate it its the same word, El Sonriente also every name has a green tint like the smiling's ones name does so its a character and that character is probably the guy who appears at 8:59, they only appear for a second so your gonna have to go by it frame by frame to see it but they fit for creepy smiling character. There are ALOT of biblical references in this there's the seven deadly sins which was already discussed and then there's the angels and gates to heaven immediately after, there is the church at 12:05 where the priest is reciting a poem called "lovely lady dressed in blue" which is about the virgin Mary raising Jesus and the priest makes a joke about Joseph of Cupertino because he levitated or something I dunno, They reference the tree of knowledge of good and evil a couple times but the most important is at 16:50 where the player is being tempted by seemingly himself to eat the fruits and seeing as its the most replayed part of the video you probably know but garden of Eden, eat the apple, you sinned become mortal yadda yadda you get it. Biblically accurate angel at 17:16 what looks like hell at 17:45 and then there's Matias house from 19:00 onward where its clear from his room having a cross above it and all the paintings that he is also religious Something I noticed that I haven't seen anyone mention is during the plane minigame 14:15 it IS a weird version of the statue of liberty but its also a reference to Parravicini's drawing "The freedom of North America will lose its light. Its torch will not shine as it did yesterday and the monument will be attacked twice" which would seem random if not for the drawings in Matias house which are all copies of Parravicini's works meaning that Matias knows who Parravicini is and made these himself, also I will point out that that Parravicini was supposedly a psychic and events were foretold through his works his statue of liberty one specifically being connected to 9/11 so there being a plane and that specific artwork in the same place was most likely no coincidence. During the conversation with Matias at 11:11 He talks about Chloe who is the French child and at 15:33 you can see the words Liberté, égalité, fraternité which is a French phrase so the fog area probably has something to do with Chloe but idk what that is So yeah I have like 8 pages of information I wrote down about this in a book about this but most of it is just small bits of stuff I can see on screen that might be relevant as more information gets revealed so here is my 2 cents about it if you know more about it or know anything I might have said that is wrong please let me know :)
Dang, the amount of effort put into this to make it look as realistic as possible is incredible, and shows every year independent creators are getting better and better with their craft and better tech to do so. I really can't wait for more!
dude idk why but the animations the music the models and it just look so good and a part of me wish idk why this was a real game i could play it in some calm days like if it was some type of animal crossing its just so good wow i like this arg
I was blown away this was incredible! The beginning animation had my jaw drop and the art style is *chefs kiss*. Very cool imagery and a great take on the fun lost game media.
There are many things I can say about the quality and artistry of this project thus far, but I'd especially like to mention that am very deeply appreciative of how you executed the glitches and jumpscares (which I'm sure count as "anomalies"). They're actually thematically and visually relevant to their scenes, and don't just exist for shock value. Very thoughtful and creative overall. Can't wait to see where this goes!
Honestly, this was genuinely the best analog horror lost media sort of content I've ever seen So much effort put into it and everything Gave me literal chills at some points
This is incredible dude!!!, the animation in the beginning and the way the npc's act and speak are so close to an canon animal crossing game, this is maybe one of my favorite arg's !!
This is so fucking well made holy shit. Like This has no right to be this well made. Full on animated cutscenes for a fake PS1 game?!? This deserves way more attention than it’s getting.
Nightmind brought me here and I am really glad that he did! I don’t scare easily but you managed to really unsettle me and afraid of what was going to happen next! Add a genuinely intriguing premise and interesting world building and I give this a solid 10/10! :)
Still watching, but I was spooked out until I got to 7:04. I IMMEDIATELY recognized the beginning of "Money" by Pink Floyd. It threw me off so much that I think this video is great. Thanks so much.

No matter how many people talk about it, the herculean effort it took for those opening animations can NEVER be praised enough.
Agreeeeeeeed, so beautiful and PROFESSIONALLY SMOOTH! Gen 1 Animal Crossing *wishes* it had pretty cutscenes like that to set the stage
The Different rooms at the beginning of the game are based on the seven sins.
In order of appearance:
-Gluttony: Food everywhere.
-Pride: Statues of people looking in mirrors
the player just casually just strolls thru the rings of hell, "Just another day in Green Valley"
How can abortion symbolism be akin to lust? I thought strong desire is lust.
Even something as conceptually simple as a torn condom could lead someone to an unwanted pregnancy, though some folks I have discussed this topic with would argue the breaking of the condom was an "Act of God" and thus seeking an abortion would be "killing a gift from God, granted only through his divine intervention in an attempt to give them an opportunity to repent from their act of lust." (exact quote)
Obviously, the RUclips comments section for a spooky game video is the wrong place to have an abortion morality debate, and that's not what I'm seeking here, nor am I trying to support either view on the issue.
@@Siggy313 That's still extremely misogynistic. Women don't use that as birth control.
The scene with the player character being hit with the angel’s sword and screaming is legitimately one of the most unnerving things I’ve seen in an online horror video. Adding the interesting story and how quickly we get into it, I really think this is going to be something worth sticking around for.

@@星音杜 yeah, it definitely feels more of like a GameCube/ps2 thing
It feels more fitting as an old N64 game to me.
No not really, I mean the whole thing just looks amazing from great fitting animations and models to actual greatly done animations, but it definitely doesn't look like a ps1 game, I look at it and it feels more like a n64 or an NDS game, ps1 was considerably more crusty.
@@星音杜 Oh boo-hoo, the pixels aren't perfectly consistent. Immersion ruined.

Plus if this game is trapping people in it, which it seems with Matias, than death could be seen as the only escape hence why the person committed suicide.
it could be that, but its also could be referencing the fact japanese people dont wear shoes inside, they use slippers, for cleanliness. but they usually change inside the house by the front door, or bring the shoes in after changing, so considering its outside and visible your theory has a good chance to be true.
hearing aika village mentioned again is sure a blast to the past.

0:19 Just in case people were curious, the Japanese text after "subject" says "Green Valley" in English (the pronunciation is literally "gureen bareh")
Also on the Onixware screen, the text reads "Your heart is in our hands"
valle verde in italian also means green valley
If Valley is pronounced with a long E at the end, why would the Japanese version not end in an I (E) sound, rather than an E (A/Eh)? I'm not a Japanese speaker, but it's confusing based on the small amount I _have_ seen and (afaik) understood WRT romanization & borrow words (or words they decided to put in English for stylistic reasons).

The level of detail in this is absurdly good. Can't wait for more of this!

Here's a couple things I've noticed / I'd like to point out while I skimmed through this video from back to back:
- [15:32] The words that show up around the "portal" read "Liberté, égalité, fraternité", which is the national motto of France
- [16:26] The display message is shown to be written on 5 different languages: English, Italian, German, Spanish, and a fifth one [which I honestly don't know the name of ^_^; if it exists, that is].
I'll edit this comment documenting my findings [If I find any more ^_^]
There's a split-second flash of an ogrish face after the Accuser's text box disappears offscreen, which I'm guessing might be they themselves
The angel on 17:10 says "Glory be to the most high God, on hig" in morse, it's from Luke 2:14
This game balances outright horror with looming dread and socio-religious commentary very well. I hope to see more of your discoveries!
Where did you get all that from this game? I’m at 9:20 and I am so confused
@@mysticalkeyblade759 did you finish the video yet
Time stamp
@Danny Dolan I think he means that scene where Otis does funny poses behind a mailman while he is looking away, but when the mailman turns around, Otis immediately stands on all fours like a normal cow. Foxxo's statue stands on four legs only when its owner is facing away from it too.
Honestly this is likely not intended but I can see how this scene can jog the memory.
Technically the reference is from the movie Barnyard. Back at the Barnyard is the sequel tv series.
i usually never comment on things but im hoping this can help with the algorithm! this is insane
Eyepatch Wolf also brought me here, I'm kicking myself for missing this until now, this is genuinely cool as heck.
The production value of this is insane, if it weren’t for the creepy stuff I might’ve actually thought this was a real game
I hope this gets noticed more. The amount of effort you put into this is absolutely insane and it was a joy to watch for the first time. Can't wait for more to this series.
I don't know what this channel was, but this does seem like the content I would have subscribe to.
I just think the origins of sound effects are interesting.
watch?v=ldW_BRnCLUg
Know what the name of the sound effect is?
i knew that sound from the disney eurobeat video (look up バッキー木村 × クラブディズニー ), i had no idea it was in spyro as well but i definately hear it!
I also recognized it as the Something sound. The more you know.
I just realized that those villagers houses are actually real photos of actual houses superimposed.. Strange.
I mean if you get the creator of Petscops approval then you gotta be good, and damn was Tony right this is amazing!
I love how instead of just gameplay by one person, it shows the anomalies reported by play-testers during that time. Which is something I've never seen in an analog horror video before, let alone a gameplay analog horror video. Really impressive stuff! Can't wait for part 2!
I’m so happy your work got recognized by supereyepatch, I watched this a while ago and really enjoyed it.
0:28 - "Your heart is in our hands."
0:31 - The Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology is a private university located in Fukuroi, Japan.
(Namely Christianity.)
8:46 - This discussion seems to be related to difficulties of finding a job (or even just working) in a struggling economy, as well as just being about the economy in general.
19:13 - These are more of Benjamín Solari Parravicini's drawings which were purported to foretell of future events
19:54 - This painting Saint John the Baptist as a Boy created by Bartolome Esteban Murillo in 1670. I am unaware of the names of the other two.
The date and times that the footage comes from are:
02/14/1997 - 08:01
02/15/1997 - 11:15
02/17/1997 - 07:25
02/18/1997 - 16:14
02/19/1997 - 07:46
02/21/1997 - 15:31
Thanks to Ruslan Adayev and Katzenmort for some of the information presented here!
Nos is actually Spanish for "Us.", supposedely.
Me too. It really added to the experience.
I can't believe that the purple fox gave you 100 money and then pulled a huge tom nook. That's ice cold. Guess you gotta remember that next election.
Also greetings from Iowa! I've seen alot of args/webseries since I've joined youtube and this is one of the best. Keep up the hard work! Shared with my best pal who is in argentina!
Now, for the remainder amount, it comes to...18.800 money.
Dude language is hard, and learning a second one is even harder ( Speaking as an autistic person whoes brain does not intuit language the same way as most of my peers ). Be proud! It's an amazing ability!

i have a vague memory of playing this in middle school, but i could never finish it
thanks for this playthrough maybe I'll finally see the ending!
How were you able to play this? Was this ever released on some regions or what?

Ugh, the animation and aesthetics of this game are soo beautiful, if it hasn't been released to the public then it should be.
I AM OBSESSED WITH THE ANIMATION - AND THE WAY THIS IS ALL PUT TOGETHER SO ACCURATE TO A REAL VIDEO GAME OF THE TIME, THIS IS SO WELL MADE THIS RULES. THE WAY THE HIGHER QUALITY 3D ANIMATION IS MADE TO RESEMBLE 2D ANIMATED CUTSCENES/?? FUCKING GENIUS.
okay screaming over but I have more thoughts
every single _second_ of this feels like a game i've played as a kid, not a specific one, but hundreds of low quality japanese games for the ps2/ps1 all jumbled together. this feels like a game you play as a kid and then try to reference to your friends thinking it was a universal experience only to find you are one of like 12 people who ever played that game. every single shot feels so _authentic_ its genuinely throwing me for a loop just how well you mimicked not only the art style but the _game making style._ places where cutscenes happen, dialogue boxes, character design, the kinds of cutscenes that happen (like that little zoom in on all the people when the main character first reaches town.)
how _grounded_ and nostolgic the first few minutes feel really makes the horror hit harder i think, that feeling of "i totally could have played this./ i've played a game exactly like this." makes it all the more offputting when it starts getting weird
- The first recording date is on Valentine's Day, another nod to Christianity however slight, and seems to be the fifth of five tapes - fitting then that the player names themselves 'TEST05.'
- A little later on the world map whoever is playing pauses while they enable/unlock the debug island - another nice subtle detail!
- Lastly, I know I've seen those birds at 19:48 before but couldn't tell you where they're from (edit: it's Kyorochan!)
Excellent work through and through and I can't wait to see more!
Absolutely stunning. I cant even begin to imagine how many hours went into this project. As someone who also makes art, this blows my mind with the amount of love and detail that must have been poured into this to beget this level of quality. honestly deserves so much more viewership

came here from spaceman scott’s analog horror ranking video, felt that it wasn’t fair to just give him a view and not the actual creator (especially since, out all the ones he reviewed, valle verde caught my eye the most). glad i did because this is incredible! this feels like a natural progression of what petscop did, being a surreal fake video game with dark secrets attached, but being able to stand on its own amongst its peers without being easily compared.
the interpretation of what the third impact would look like in a playstation game is probably one of my favorite sequences of animation ever. satisfying to watch from an artistic perspective but utterly bone-chilling from a mortal perspective. imagine being a 7 year old playing a game like this late at night and suddenly the game goes “lol check this out 😃”, instantly bombarding you with digital visions on how the world will end. as a hobbyist artist, i can’t even begin to comprehend how you got the ideas for this series and how you made some of these visuals but i love it all regardless. please keep up the good work.
This is like straight out of a vivid yet uncanny recurring nightmare about Animal Crossing that I’d have, with a side of well implemeted religious themes. I'm HOOKED

@@Mae4Ever Incredible
Love the hell out of that game, though i would recommend pirating it due to the fact the estore is shutting down and you can’t get the dlc normally any more.
this is very well done, you did an excellent job capturing the aesthetic of the era

No theorizing this time, just love!
This game feels like a blend of Mega Man Legends and Animal Crossing -- it feels super authentic, too!

Fantastic stuff.
yooo i recognize you! this ARG is sick as fuck yeah, i've been obsessing over it the past couple hours lol
This is absolutely incredible, I have no words for how much I adore this,
it almost makes me lament that this isn't a game i could've picked up and played as a kid despite getting the distinct feeling that i DEFINITELY played it

The Art direction for this is stunning! so much effort and time must have been put into it, it absolutely nails the style its going for.

those level transitions reminded me so much of amazing island. phenomenal job, my partner and i are huge fans of the lost innocent media turned horror especially with this era of game design
I'm just gonna write information I figured out on my own idk if anyone had said any of this already but yeah
So The person called Matias is either a child trapped in the game or is an AI based off of the child with his memories, its most likely that this happens through the THBrain device
the seven rooms that test05 (which is the player character) goes through at 6:01 which are representing the seven deadly sins in order they were
Cake room - Gluttony
Eye room - Envy
Money room - Greed
Baby room? - Lust
TV room - sloth
Silhouette room - wrath
Mirror room - pride
Most are obvious but tv room and silhouette are different because there meaning comes from the audio in the room, TV room "you would rest while I work" "if you are a heavy sleeper" and the silhouette room's audio is from Oppenheimer's speech about the first atomic bomb explosion and the famous words "now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds".
the name The smiling one is said two times that I know of, the first time its said by Foxxo at 5:07 and the second is by Ito the museum guy at 18:20 although the English subtitles don't translate it its the same word, El Sonriente also every name has a green tint like the smiling's ones name does so its a character and that character is probably the guy who appears at 8:59, they only appear for a second so your gonna have to go by it frame by frame to see it but they fit for creepy smiling character.
There are ALOT of biblical references in this
there's the seven deadly sins which was already discussed and then there's the angels and gates to heaven immediately after, there is the church at 12:05 where the priest is reciting a poem called "lovely lady dressed in blue" which is about the virgin Mary raising Jesus and the priest makes a joke about Joseph of Cupertino because he levitated or something I dunno, They reference the tree of knowledge of good and evil a couple times but the most important is at 16:50 where the player is being tempted by seemingly himself to eat the fruits and seeing as its the most replayed part of the video you probably know but garden of Eden, eat the apple, you sinned become mortal yadda yadda you get it. Biblically accurate angel at 17:16 what looks like hell at 17:45 and then there's Matias house from 19:00 onward where its clear from his room having a cross above it and all the paintings that he is also religious
Something I noticed that I haven't seen anyone mention is during the plane minigame 14:15 it IS a weird version of the statue of liberty but its also a reference to Parravicini's drawing "The freedom of North America will lose its light.
During the conversation with Matias at 11:11 He talks about Chloe who is the French child and at 15:33 you can see the words Liberté, égalité, fraternité which is a French phrase so the fog area probably has something to do with Chloe but idk what that is
So yeah I have like 8 pages of information I wrote down about this in a book about this but most of it is just small bits of stuff I can see on screen that might be relevant as more information gets revealed so here is my 2 cents about it if you know more about it or know anything I might have said that is wrong please let me know :)
there's such an intense feeling of authenticity in the presentation here, eagerly awaiting the next upload :)
I found the smiling face behind the tree at 17:05. Just happened to pause on it…
This piece is incredible. Keep it coming
Dang, the amount of effort put into this to make it look as realistic as possible is incredible, and shows every year independent creators are getting better and better with their craft and better tech to do so. I really can't wait for more!
It takes a lot to really get to me nowadays, but I was peaking through my fingers by the end, that's how much this gripped me. This is fantastic!
the delay at the Sony logo start gave me the gamer version of Vietnam flashbacks
dude idk why but the animations the music the models and it just look so good and a part of me wish idk why this was a real game i could play it in some calm days like if it was some type of animal crossing its just so good wow i like this arg
Very cleverly written, Joseph of Cupertino was the levitating priest! He also experienced hallucinations!!!
I was blown away this was incredible! The beginning animation had my jaw drop and the art style is *chefs kiss*. Very cool imagery and a great take on the fun lost game media.
Waiting for part 2🙏❤. Didn't expect, that something could impress me more, than Mandela catalogue. Great job, guys.
17:36 biblically accurate angel is about to banish the kid into the shadow realm...
In all seriousness this is pretty good. Very well made.
Honestly, this was genuinely the best analog horror lost media sort of content I've ever seen
So much effort put into it and everything
Gave me literal chills at some points
This is incredible dude!!!, the animation in the beginning and the way the npc's act and speak are so close to an canon animal crossing game, this is maybe one of my favorite arg's !!
Yo, that airplane minigame had such a banger soundtrack, bro my nostalgia just hit hard.
the skill and quality of this is fantastic!! i love the intro animations at the beginning- got a heavy Ghibli movie vibe!! Amazing work!!
Thank you for posting this! I love exploring lost media. Hopefully there is more to share because this is really good!
Still watching, but I was spooked out until I got to 7:04. I IMMEDIATELY recognized the beginning of "Money" by Pink Floyd. It threw me off so much that I think this video is great. Thanks so much.
I can't wait to see more of this!!!! I love this sort of "lost game" story
Here because of Night Mind’s vid! I have no idea how this hasnt caught on yet, its amazing! looking forward to next installments
