wow!! simply just wow! the nearly year long wait was absolutely worth it, no need to apologize! you can really tell how much effort and talent is put into this series. there are so many little details you take care with Alluvium and this is one of my favorite webseries on youtube right now. keep up the great work and never apologize for the long hiatuses. amazing art takes time and the wait is always well worth it
Dr. Neetow's fate is so disturbing, the pov of watching the world spin as he does is incredible. The art, animation, and cinematography here is excellent. I love this series
And you can even see Nottt in the background if you freeze frame around 17:05, that building right behind where Foxxo is standing, Nottt is there in the treeline on the right side... easier to see if you use the spacebar to pause quickly or slow down the vid.
That sacrifice scene... _JESUS CHRIST!_ I was not expecting this video to go that hard! I like the idea that different games are being blended together, I wonder what that will lead to...
24:37 The error screen is in base64, when translated, we get this: "Nie zazna ludzkość spokoju, dopóki nie zwróci się z ufnością do miłosierdzia Mojego", which is polish for "Mankind will not know peace until it turns with trust to My mercy".
This series has so many elements. The weird but charming villagers, the dead games being accessed by an unknown device, the eldritch horror working with the catholic element, and the humor (like the robot fight was funny but I truly started to laugh when I saw the piss Christ pic). All of this is to say that any of these elements alone would make a really good project overall, but the fact that all of those are here and more is what makes this truly a gem in my book.
I had a realization... if you look closely at Robot flickering in and out of existence during that 1v1 match, you can see Robot's fists in the air above him during the fight... but it's not really clear why and it's hard to see him. But then when the sacrifice part comes, Robot is revealed from underneath the flag with his hands bound above him _the same way we saw earlier in that 1v1._ Conclusion? ...Robot was not available during the 1v1 against Dr. Neetow because he was already captured for 'that' sacrifice on March 22; the game just couldn't or wouldn't spawn Robot in because Neetow had him restrained elsewhere. 😶🌫
My boyfriend went to Catholic school so I paused and asked him "Who was Pope John Paul the First?" and when he had to stand up to answer I knew I had asked something deeper than I meant to.
@@GoggleGum Pope John Paul I was the Pope that got elected in 1978; he died after 33 days of his election. While it allegedly happened for natural causes, the situation of the Church during the 70s/early 80s was extremely tense; plus John Paul I was having serious issues with the Vatican Bank (they were quite shady at the time) and Marcinkus, so it has been speculated and believed, that he was victim of a conspiracy inside the Church.
@@GoggleGumit's kinda a long story. A very short answer Is that there are a lot of cospiracy theories that he was assasinated because wanted to start severals reforms not "enjoyed" by other cardinals (also linked to other strange crimes linked to the IOR, the Vatican bank). But there are no real proofs. Sure I went 404 when I Heart his voice in the video. As said, It Is a topic so big that It is hard to discuss propely (and not sue If linked to the Valle Verde story).
@@GoggleGum He was confirmed as a Pope in August of 1978, and he died merely a month later. It was the first time in nearly 400 years that the papacy changed three times in a single year. He was recently (two years ago) declared to be beatified, a process in Catholicism that affirms someone's entrance into heaven and their ability to help those who pray in their name. That requires a miracle to be done, something that the Catholic Church sees as having no scientific explanation. In this case, that miracle was curing an 11-year-old in Buenos Aires of encephalitis.
i like how you can briefly see the lookout from dragon ball when the character is falling between worlds, showing this corruption isnt restricted to just the games that exist only in this series
@@djbidd007 the big gate at 22:38 that says MIDAS is TR1 as well if i remember right, too edit: actually the shotgun at 23:15 the robot is wielding might be the one from Tomb Raider as well? pretty neat mix of assets going on here if so
the robot guard + the guard dog(?) killing the hexacom protagonist because he tried to get a closer look at their flesh deity thing by AIMING AT IT (because how else would a player get a better look at it?) is such a good touch
I hate that it took me so long to realize this is more than one game that got lost. It was an entire library of games that went missing because of what's happening in Valle Verde, somehow infecting and making the games bleed together. It really struck me on the third watch around 24:20 when the Agent character takes fatal fall damage on a DBZ stage after respawning. Though the witch with Banjo-Kazooie speaking patterns, her unique textbox, font, and appearance should've tipped me off on the first watch (Edit timestamp too far.)

Tonight on Bottom Verde: Legally-Distinct Gruntilda becomes a sculptor, Foxxo joins the freemasons, and the villagers let Dr. Neetow know exactly what they think of people who cheat at fighting games
@@MegaMegajennifer Robot's position is almost exactly the same in the fighting game as when he's revealed under the flag at the sacrifice later in the video on March 22nd: arms together above his chest, laying down. And in the fighting game, Robot flickering in existence only occasionally seems to imply that... the game is trying to call Robot to that location, but another location is taking priority within the data, and THAT priority location is where Robot _has already been restrained and was being saved for March 22nd..._ 😳
@@MegaMegajennifer No like, the game's programming script was trying to call Robot (Issac) to the battle, but instead the AI version of Dr. Neetow was already restraining Issac elsewhere for the sacrifice that was about to happen soon on the 22nd. That is why Issac was laid on the ground and barely flickering in during battle, Issac was probably rubberbanding from the conflicting scripts running for him at the same time.
The simple image of Matias and Pietro standing behind a wall of light and accompanied by that familiar warrior angel, serenely watching on even as the townsfolk tear the church down and rebuild it as a monument to Mecha-Baal, is somehow hauntingly beautiful. Somehow, despite being a story about lost PS1 games and a gradually breaking self-learning accessory, this is also a story about God, and that's really something. Also, I'm rather happy to see my rough analysis of the contents of the media library on the last video still seems to be holding up. Supaplex Ultra looks like it'd be a blast to play if you're interested in that kind of puzzle game.
My theory with the robot child being sacrificed is that the these people have been trying to make ai copies of children based on their brain activity sufficiently similar to them to appease their mecha Baal god, and being ai they can mass produce copies. Also suspecting this technology isn’t just operating in purely traditional sci-fi terms and is accessing a supernatural plane of existence as well, a higher dimension and/or the physical substrate of the collective unconscious or something like that.
kind of? But not quite. Matias was supposed to be sacrificed, but Pietro gave Pablo the two rosary crosses (which were originally compasses asset wise but I like that little detail.) and so when Pablo gave the compass to Matias, it saved him, at least for the moment. So, the FreeMasons in Debug-Shima had to improvise, that's why they sacrificed Isaac, Morloch was not happy with that though he wanted his pound of flesh and Dr Newtow kept running his mouth, questioning Morloch and making excuses, so Morloch punished him. I do think they are trying to make copies of the kids, hence all the self aware and sentient robots hiding in the THBrain, but the copies aren't satisfactory for Morloch.

Simply put, the creative genius and skill put into Valle Verde to create a video series resembling the creepy pastas of old, is so thrilling and amazing, that I would be shocked if someone would have any motive to dislike it. The ever-growing story and visuals remind me of the early MCU, as it keeps me wanting more. My patience is full and ready as art can not be rushed. I am happy and satisfied with any amount of time it takes to release such a work of art. *Now* that wasn't really put simply, now was it? Well, let me try again. Truly, truly I tell you, in simplicity at most, *wow* just *wow* . This one word describes how I feel about the brilliant nature of Valle Verde.
@@maudley I can't stand NM. He's so arrogant and he always tries to insert himself into other people's work, then tries to take credit for it. He did it most recently with Welcome Home, and he even tried to claim he's the reason Petscop came back from hiatus, which the Petscop creator thoroughly debunked.
@@WobblesandBeanI used to like him, and got introduced to this series by him, but I got so put off by his Shipwrecked 64 video and the fact he went on a super long rant about one tiny detail involving a meeting and files…not even thinking of the fact there was probably more meetings vs the big one we know of in game 🤦 TLDR: Overall I think he’s been on a bit of a down-cline lately as well and I think having a nice mix of channels is important
The Buenos Aires section has finally beaten out Tharsis for the single coolest thing featured in this series. I cannot wait to see where you go next, and I would gladly wait a decade for another episode.
So I don't know if anyone's addressed this yet, but the golden calf and the sign's words towards the end are written in the Enochian alphabet. Once decoded to Spanish and translated to English, the calf's words read "Continue" and "No more toys" (may be meant as 'no more playthings' since this was after the sacrifice, I did use Google Translate after all lul). And the sign reads "The City of Men". Do what y'all want with the info. It's like 3 AM at the time of typing this lol (Edit: Also I started watching this a couple weeks ago thanks to Night Mind and I was so excited to see a new part was out! Still awesome, keep up the great work! :D)
I mean "no more toys" probably checks out because that golden calf was probably pretty annoyed that he showed up for a child sacrifice and all he got was some robot from Dr. Neetow
@@capitalchirp2418With how many robot children we're later shown were sacrificed, that does make sense. The golden calf also probably took neetow to prevent them from being able to make any more robots and force them to seek Real sacrifices
@@maluwritter5030 It was definitely done to make an example of him and show them that Moloch will not tolerate another failure. Leaving the dude alive was just...oof. This also means Mattias was likely going to be the child chosen for this ritual, and that might explain what happened to the other children listed back in episode 1. The player character freed him just in time, it seems.
This entire series has been such a breath of fresh air with both its quality and the amount of details and the originality of the story (I don’t know WHATS happening but I know I’m seeing something I’ve never seen before). The layers and the imagery and the subtext is just- it makes me salivate, every time. Cannot wait for more, take all the time you need

The level of style and substance here is great! The way you embrace the theme of a PSX/PS2 game as a setting, mixed with the surreal atmosphere is so well done here. Thanks for continuing this series and I'm always excited to see more!
Dear God. First of all, absolutely fucking beautiful animation at 10:24. No wonder this thing took almost a year with that quality! Secondly, the whole March 22 sacrifice segment. Just all of it. Absolutely stellar. You are, quite literally, doing God’s work here. I’ll try and join the Patreon once I get set in financially.
Yesss! So hyped for this episode! 0:53 - Isaac is, of course, a biblical character, being the only son of Abraham and Sarah. I believe the fact that Isaac is a robot (literally being bound to his creator and forced to fight) is a more literal interpretation of the "binding of Isaac" story - I guess in this hypothetical symbolism, Dr. Neetow is Abraham? Unsure. 3:18 - I believe this is the first instance of real voice-acting within Valle Verde (although I might be forgetting something). I suppose this is an important enough occasion. 4:09 - I'm not too sure what that large object is - perhaps a key? There are several mentions of keys in biblical scripture such as the keys of the kingdom of heaven, the key of the house of David, the keys of Death and Hades, the key of knowledge, and the key mentioned in Revelations. Not sure if it even is a key, so there isn't much use speculating I suppose! 5:17 - Oh, wow. These guys look like they're here against their wills, huh? They're possibly slaves to the entity we saw last video that I've tentatively assigned the name "Moloch", as it was seen attacking using crystalline enemies and these workers are seen harvesting crystals. It's a loose connection, but it's all I have. Maybe they're paralleling the Hebrews under the rule of the Egyptian pharaoh? Unsure. 5:54 - Oh, hey, it's the Eiffel Tower. The workers are seen worshipping it, which is... interesting. This perhaps has something to do with Chloe (the French child) trapped within the game that has (presumably) been sacrificed to Moloch(?), as well as the concept of enlightenment (the French Revolution was a major part of the Age of Enlightenment). This also potentially links to the French motto on the portal from earlier. 5:59 - "El Aevum", or "The Aevum" is the way that angels in heaven experience time - it's somewhere between the timelessness of god and the way that mortals experience the world. It's also called "improper eternity". (Credit to Henryk Anzulewicz for his writing on this topic.) This semi-timelessness is perhaps why there are many clocks in this place. 6:11 - I think this may be Benjamín Solari Parravicini, but I have no idea. 6:22 - An oraculum is a divine prophecy, one who gives prophecies (such as an oracle), or the place in which an oracle is given. (This is according to Wikitionary, though, so take it with a grain of salt.) 8:05 - They got selected like RTS units... that's so funny. 8:55 - So, this Dying Eye possibly allows one to see into other points in time or other timelines - something like that. 9:46 - The titles that aren't translated roughly translate to "The Sun's Fury in Europe's Heart" and "Flower of the Abyss". I'm not confident in either of these, so if anyone speaks Latin, please correct me. Also, "occasus" means the setting of the sun or the west direction. 12:21 - The robot's morse code translates to "BRING A SLINGSHOT, END MY SUFFERING". 12:51 - Oh, hey! It's the flag of Argentina being surrounded by golden calf worshippers. 14:21 - This line of thinking in regards to knowledge is very similar to Plato's Allegory of the Cave, although the enlightenment stuff is new. 15:07 - This is a proper golden calf, not the weird Foxxo-cow hybrid ones. 15:22 - The mentioning of a figure from Greek mythology is interesting to me, as most of the religious symbolism so far has been centred around Christianity. 15:55 - I called it! I knew they would be doing the binding of Isaac story! Except... this Isaac is not saved by the mercy of God. Poor guy. It seems to be implied that they were planning on sacrificing a real child in his place (likely Matias). 16:27 - These different pillars apparently mean different things, with the fourth pillar meaning something that the cultists did not expect would be prioritized. 16:57 - I just realized that the cultists are wearing the mark of the Freemasons, a set of groups commonly associated with esoteric religious and spiritual beliefs. 18:06 - The clock seems to be counting down to something, with sacrifices equalling an extra hour. I can't imagine anything good happening, especially with one of Oraculum's options involving ten o'clock. 18:22 - Carnabaal is a play on the words carnival and Baal, a false god from Christian mythology. 18:34 - The text reads "equality". 20:13 - Mining crystals? That's just like what we saw earlier. Interesting. 22:43 - Midas is, of course, the mythical king from Greek mythology that turned everything he touched into gold. 24:37 - The Base64 translates to "Mankind will not know peace until it turns with trust to My mercy". 25:29 - The Smoking Square is clearly supposed to represent the "square" from the Masonic symbols of the square and compasses. We've seen it in the past episode as well with the portal with the French motto on it. 26:54 - The repeating of three mirrors the description of the Smoking Square. 28:00 - The "blueprints" depicted is actually the 1987 photograph Immersion (Piss Christ) by Andres Serrano, which he described as symbolizing "[...]the way Christ died: the blood came out of him but so did the piss and the shit. Maybe if Piss Christ upsets you, it's because it gives some sense of what the crucifixion actually was like". Dates Mentioned: 03/16/1997 - 0:02 03/19/1997 - 2:21 03/21/1997 - 13:08 03/22/1997 - 14:02 03/26/1997 - 18:43 04/02/1997 - 24:42 Thanks to goosenpai, embasorangiratina36, and quantabyte for extra information!
France is also mentioned directly as a home of one of the missing kids in episode one. And also the national motto is written on the ruler portal in that same episode
A bit further in and Dr Neetow also directly says the motto. Maybe the France references have something to do with the enlightement. Which the French revolution was a major part of
Apparently masonic lodges were places enlightement thinkers met at accoridng ti a quick wikipedia check. Which would fit with the other masonic symbolism.
Modern cinema *wishes* it had scenes as stunningly rendered and impactful as Buenos Aires's Occasus. The fact you keep hitting new peaks of quality with this series boggles the mind. Take all the time you need: it's been worth the wait every time up to this point, and I doubt that will change, so long as you set your own pace. I look forward to when next the Isle of Valle Verde comes into view...
also note we may be almost done or half way in give or take, given that VHS tape on SP setting is only 3 hours max with the highest long one, the most common size is 2 or 2 and a half hours of recorded footage to use.

Love the ongoing theme of the collective subconscious. The series is like a representation of collective culture during the Apocalypse. Everything from everywhere all at once, all going mad and collapsing, except for eternal good and eternal evil. It's a perfect series for the 2020's.
Looks like Isaac's having a bad time of it. Poor fella must have a head full of Marker programs. And just like that, our "compass" has turned this game into FAITH 3D. Time to finish what we started. Seems that this "Morfelius" guy has control over Age of Empire worker units, which fills me with such inexplicable nostalgia.
Also, Supaplex, the game at 19:00 was a DOS game, I guess in this alternate universe there was a PS1 sequel, so that's kind of cool. Little details like this help making this whole ARG feel legitimate and immersive.

I am stunned by the idea of THBrain, I think it's a great modern theory of what might happen to an advanced machine that becomes too influenced by the human factor. There are so many things in thins video I could write about that it would take me ages, so I shall only say thank you for providing this fascinating story. There are definitely things that I don't understand but I'm pulled in. I also appreciate the difference in tone, it seems to have shifted from a more traditional "scary" type of mystery with jumpscares, to something that doesn't have things jumping at the screen but with more bizarre and eldritch horror.
@@WobblesandBean perhaps. I'm not terribly perceptive but his words lead me to believe that. It does confuse me that the cultists tried to sacrifice him though, why and how would you go around binding an entity responsible for your world's existence? Either these characters are unusually daft, or Nottt is not as powerful as he may seem. Maybe he is the "conscious" side of THBrain, while the machine part of it runs in the background still, grown beyond control of the "mind". THBrain seems to be influenced by all who interact with it.
@@WobblesandBean well, we don't know that much about thbrain, but it's a technological marvel that can seemingly interact with a human brain, store a large amount of media, and probably do more, all without turning the playstation into the second sun in the process so there might be more to this device maybe nottt was a virtual assistant of sorts, maybe he was one of the processes that somehow became self aware, or maybe he was some kind of ai director, changing things in the game to make the experience more unique and personal to the player - the game itself does have automatically generated tasks after all
18:17 After watching Robert Saetern's memorandum video and getting that context, I notice the ingame clock in the bottom right corner is going absolutely CRAZY here- I thought they slowed down the processing speed to make the time pass IN THE GAME 1:1 with human perception- I dunno if something happened there after the... ceremony, to speed things up but this is interesting and also potentially horrifying 👀
The quality once again is insane. This is one of the coolest webseries I have seen. The March 22 scene is so beautifully animated (or as beautiful as you can make such a horrific scene).

I literally just recommended this series to my mother today, and you drop the third episode. Brilliant timing, and another brilliant entry to this series!!
So much creativity on display. I also really appreciate the unimaginably cyclopean dread evoked by the concept of being trapped in a singularity with people with differing viewpoints, philosophies, and goals for your virtual society. The golden calf imagery and cult-like devotion is a nice touch too. Like they saying goes, "Hell is other people." So being uploaded and sharing a space with perhaps even one other mind could be a digital man-made Hell.
19:11 Never thought i’d see a reference to worm odyssey, love the subtle humor to ease the tension, like with the small door in the previous entry. Keep up the great work!
No joke this might be the absolute peak of video game based horror story telling, possibly tied with Interloper in presentation and absolutely mind boggling effort. 10/10 take as long as you need for the next part.
now that i think about it, it really is the ps1 version of interloper - unknown mystery hidden within the games' engines (thbrain framework, source engine) - characters that actually react to all the glitches and unusual events (debug-shima's residents, dmnpcs) - a group of people testing this phenomenon (the agents, project skybox) - a greater force doing things to npcs (moloch, umbrella man) all we need is someone treating valle verde as a haunted game, an exploration of the wasteland using flying cameras, and we basically have the same thing
I am 100% gonna make a gif from Dr. Neetow‘s sacrifice and start sending it to my friends whenever I need to make a joke about what it feels like to get up in the morning. Okay in all seriousness, this series is INSANE, I just watched the whole thing and I‘m absolutely blown away by the quality of execution here??? It’s SO GOOD. I wish I could come up with more coherent praise but I’m at a loss for words. The sound design, the visuals, the religious themes, the fact that without all the spooky stuff this looks like it would be a genuinely adorable game to play, there’s just so much to praise here that I don’t know where to start! Thank you so much for sharing this amazing piece of art with us, and I hope you continue to find joy in creating these episodes - I’d certainly love to see more!!❤

Idk if I've left a comment before, but I just want to say after a rewatch that your craft is utterly breathtaking. The amount of work that you must put into this is insane, but my Christ do you deliver masterpiece after masterpiece. 15:45 Oh. OH. OH MY GOD. Matias wasn't stuck in the cafe because of a glitch with the experiment. The two NPCs within were generated to literally keep him hostage until he could be sacrificed for the Carnibaal!
A while ago I said this would be something to keep an eye on. 100% proven right, I’m shocked at the production value at this, the part at 10:40 is just amazing…
Don't know if there's any correlation with whatever's going on in this project, but March 22, 1997 is also the exact day the Hale-Bopp comet was observed at its closest to Earth. There's probably some additional layer of symbolism that we've yet to uncover.
A lot of the sequences in these remind me of nightmares I had as a really little kid. These videos are unbelievably impressive, I have no idea how the hell you make these but it's mind blowing work. If you're planning on making a Part 4, I'll be sure to catch it however long it takes to put together. Keep up the great work.
BABE WAKE UP NEW VALLE VERDE VIDEO!!!! Anyways, i love this series, the animation, editing, pure talent, and passion in it is much different than anything I've seen from analog horror to date recently. Also (a little edit after i watched it) holy moly that "sacrifice" part of the video gave me actual chills
Such a beautifully made series. Can’t imagine how much effort it takes to create something like this, I’ve enjoyed every second. Thank you so much. It’s not only helped me practice my Spanish, but taught me to keep my eyes open for any bit of info possible (like the Worm Odyssey reference… I saw Zach there and started to die from laughter) But seriously… thank you so so much for all of this! It’s been incredible.
I’m a little late , but oh WOW. I love how you put so much thought and effort into every detail in this series, I’ve even written down notes for Valle Verde, haha. Keep up the excellent work!
This is quite possibly one of the best online horror/mystery series ever created. Your work continues to impress me more and more every time a new episode comes out!
I still have zero idea what the story of this is. But quite frankly, I do not care. This is the most amazing analogue horror I’ve ever seen. Period. Never in my life did I think that not only someone could succeed in copying the Petscop formula, but perfect it and then make it something completely different. We’re three videos in and with each video I can feel the effort. The hours upon hours upon hours of effort. Hats off to you- at three videos, this is better than almost anything on TV.
i found this way before eyepatch wolf's video, you got something really special here man, take the time you need! As an animator, I KNOW how hard it can be, especially when life gets constantly in the way!
I want to know if this guy does animation professionally, because if not, he should. He's got more talent and skill than many actual industry professionals I know.
@@WobblesandBean you'd be surprised by the amount of talent that goes undiscovered because of the way the industry is built, it's all about who you know, not so much about what you can do x.x but I do hope that they are a professional, if not in animation, on game design, narrative, anything creative cuz this artist's got it all.
Of all the incredible aspects of this series, I was NOT expecting some alternate universe dragon ball z game, complete with a guest appearance from Kami's lookout. Makes me think of the pile of PS2 DBZ games I collected over the years....
There are not many RUclips channels I look forward to watching anymore because unlike back in the day there aren't that many that are consistent but whenever I see an upload from this channel I get really excited so I can't wait to see this. Keep up the great work
It astounds me how you are able to top the already impressive previous entries with each new part to this series. These three episodes contain more "wow" factor than entire completed web horror series!
Good to know I'm not the only one with a faulty ass THBrain. Jokes aside, this is probably the most high effort horror series on this platform. I cannot imagine how much work went into this, and I can't wait for future installments.
Genuinely incredible stuff. I hope someday you consider making a full horror game-doesn’t even have to be connected to this project. The storytelling and visuals make one so desperate to get a turn at navigating the world you’ve presented here. In regards to the videos- take as long as you need, the wait is always worth it for the results you’ve shown.
Man, the quality on these videos hits me every time. This one nailed the authenticity completely, as well. If I saw that "Hexacom" sans glitches, I'd believe it was an actual PS1 game. Interesting to see a rampant AI going tradcath, too.
Genuinely this is the most beautiful and amazing series of ps1 horror I've ever seen in my life like seriously from the story the different art styles and everything in this piece of media is soo spectacular im lost for words tbh man this is so good😭❤❤
Amazing work! My hair stood on end at several points! Still not sure what's happening, but here's a few elements I think are at play: the thbrain devices are tested on terminally ill people who are struggling with their faith. The AI is struggling with consolidating that in its memory so it created two factions (at least) to simulate playing the struggle out. There's the Moloch/fox cult who are worshipping a false god in hopes that by sacrificing everything and following the rules as best they can, they will escape their fate. The other faction, with the fabulous purple NPC is soon to be a gallery of blasted landscapes instead of people, as all the exhibit names are references to a kind of doomsday or at least an end. I suspect that this NPC is cannabalizing bits and pieces of all the games in the library to this end. Either way, both factions are seeking an end, whether to pare data down by making a program to delete everything and escape/ die that way, or by making sacrifices to the Moloch in hopes it will get strong enough to help escape the thbrain devices. There seems to be a deliberate reference to heaven's gate here to mean they're trusting a literal foreign flying body to bring them to heaven when it will just kill them. Moloch is regarded as a devil. Does this mean Mr. Fox is the devil's advocate? The name is weird for the magician too - death cat oracle? Is that a Schrodinger's cat reference? It wants to know if it's alive or dead - preferably dead? A big stretch I know. I suspect it's a joke because it's a logical fallacy - the cat isn't in a quantum superimposition, it's dead and its owner was an asshole, lol. The clock at the end reminds me of the doomsday clock - the countdown to nuclear winter we've been stuck at almost midnight for some time.😮 Anyway the sound design and animation were incredible! We're all happy to wait! It's worth it! For everyone who read these wild guesses, thanks!
I'm not sure that's what's really going on, there's definitely themes of Moloch vs the christian God in a digital purgatory, but so far we haven't seen much of Him. It's almost like he's absent, and the steward left behind, Nottt, broke down and abandoned his post because he couldn't handle seeing all these children suffer. Part of me wonders if the THBrain is being tested on children, and the ones like Matthias who are trapped here all merged together in a bizarre melting pot of the children's favorite video games, recreated from their memories.
We are SO fucking back! EDIT: Just finished watching and I’m shocked by how the quality of this series keeps getting better and better! I can’t wait for the next episode!
What so incredible about this is there isn’t a fear of some immediate threat that could attack you. It’s more of a pure shock of what’s happening and how little sense it makes.
what an excellent display of talent. i cant imagine all the hours of learning, work, frustration and dedication that culminated in this masterpiece of a series. you've truly created something special. take pride in it.
The best project of this type on the platform. Thanks for playing the Christian thematic straight. It's so refreshing. Good is good and evil is evil. It's so high concept in general. Great work
I really like the fact that the “compass” is the cross, showing the viewer that Christ will be you guide. I also like how when the jumping demon tries to get the player, he smacks it with the cross, and it ceases existence
I'm glad that you said that, it was designed as one hahahaha, I modeled that a couple of years back for a mini fake PS1 Smiling Friends animation (That I never made) as the villain, and then I realized that it was the perfect design for the Morfelius character
Yeah, Ephraim just told me on the Discord server that he thought it was a Tetris Grandmaster music piece because the sample is exactly the same, I used a really old 90s sample disc to make that song 🤣
@@-Alluvium- nothing wrong with samples! The first lyrics I wrote were a parody of Yankee Doodle Dandy inspired by Hancock from Fallout 4, and folks enjoy it quite a bit 😊 part of the tradition of storytelling is *iteration.* True of oral tradition before writing, and true of all storytelling that came after-- we just have better records to see patterns. Sometimes that pattern is a trope, or a whole dang plot. The iteration of a pattern will always accept some parts while rejecting others; the personal bias of the storyteller ensures as much... which is when we learn to ask new questions about old patterns! Its an amazing point at which Psychology, History, and Storytelling all collide and make the stories we call Myths or Legends. Its how a rumor or a misunderstanding becomes folklore. Its how humans remembered themselves before we had better tools for storing the memory more accurately. The fallibility of our memory compared with the records of the past is where many people find horror and existensial dread. Using a common sample Evokes that memory while being Not Quite The Same, adding to the uncanny sense that permeates the entire project. Everything being SO detailed, SO faithful makes the points that *aren't familiar* hypnotizing as well as suspensful. I love it ❤
Sorry I'm late! I just wanted to say this series is truly a work of art. It has so much depth and complexity, it really feels like a professional project you'd expect from a studio. The fact that you're managing all of this is INCREDIBLE. Felicitaciones, en serio.
Genuinely one of the most challenging & engrossing art projects on RUclips, to just call it a "creepypasta" of "ARG" would be really selling this series short. Really hope you release the music to this at some point, I love it.

The poor damn robot. This episode seems to hate them.
at least they seem to be holding out pretty well in Hell
the robots got off easy. i feel worse for their creator
Yeah
@@MissusAnon i thought where you were going with this was that the robot was restrained during the fight and it was trying to glitch itself out of it
My boyfriend went to Catholic school so I paused and asked him "Who was Pope John Paul the First?" and when he had to stand up to answer I knew I had asked something deeper than I meant to.
Who was he?

And in the fighting game, Robot flickering in existence only occasionally seems to imply that... the game is trying to call Robot to that location, but another location is taking priority within the data, and THAT priority location is where Robot _has already been restrained and was being saved for March 22nd..._ 😳
@@MissusAnon you mean the robot would have been better off battling?
@@MegaMegajennifer No like, the game's programming script was trying to call Robot (Issac) to the battle, but instead the AI version of Dr. Neetow was already restraining Issac elsewhere for the sacrifice that was about to happen soon on the 22nd.
Where?

(This is according to Wikitionary, though, so take it with a grain of salt.)
8:05 - They got selected like RTS units... that's so funny.

@@WobblesandBean perhaps. I'm not terribly perceptive but his words lead me to believe that.
It does confuse me that the cultists tried to sacrifice him though, why and how would you go around binding an entity responsible for your world's existence? Maybe he is the "conscious" side of THBrain, while the machine part of it runs in the background still, grown beyond control of the "mind". THBrain seems to be influenced by all who interact with it.
@@WobblesandBean well, we don't know that much about thbrain, but it's a technological marvel that can seemingly interact with a human brain, store a large amount of media, and probably do more, all without turning the playstation into the second sun in the process
so there might be more to this device
maybe nottt was a virtual assistant of sorts, maybe he was one of the processes that somehow became self aware, or maybe he was some kind of ai director, changing things in the game to make the experience more unique and personal to the player - the game itself does have automatically generated tasks after all
18:17 After watching Robert Saetern's memorandum video and getting that context, I notice the ingame clock in the bottom right corner is going absolutely CRAZY here- I thought they slowed down the processing speed to make the time pass IN THE GAME 1:1 with human perception- I dunno if something happened there after the... ceremony, to speed things up but this is interesting and also potentially horrifying 👀
The quality once again is insane. This is one of the coolest webseries I have seen. The March 22 scene is so beautifully animated (or as beautiful as you can make such a horrific scene).
Worm Odyssey and Zach being cannon is such an awesome easter egg lol 😂. Great work from you and the team as always!
Nottt in Part 2: They tried to involve me in the ceremony, if I haven't made it clear enough I don't want to be found
Nottt at ~17:05: _This is peak cinema_
I literally just recommended this series to my mother today, and you drop the third episode. Brilliant timing, and another brilliant entry to this series!!
Love it when that happens :D
10/10 take as long as you need for the next part.
now that i think about it, it really is the ps1 version of interloper
- unknown mystery hidden within the games' engines (thbrain framework, source engine)
- characters that actually react to all the glitches and unusual events (debug-shima's residents, dmnpcs)
- a group of people testing this phenomenon (the agents, project skybox)
- a greater force doing things to npcs (moloch, umbrella man)
all we need is someone treating valle verde as a haunted game, an exploration of the wasteland using flying cameras, and we basically have the same thing
Fantastic job yet again!! The sounds are always perfect for the scenes

Red tool? In MY Valle Verde?
@@lynxvsjackalope1149 it's more likely than you think
i feel for poor issac, poor thing had to be sent to purgatory, transported into a corrupted tharsis, phase in and out of existence during its big match, and had to be the catalyst of a sacrifice. i’ll forever be issac’s biggest defender though 😤
(Phenomenal job all around tho again)
I am fascinated by the art style and amount of production behind this, I think your work is incredible and I hope you continue to make more!
As a big Tomb Raider fan, the Midas structure + the wall sliding sound effect made me so happy.
Idk if I've left a comment before, but I just want to say after a rewatch that your craft is utterly breathtaking. The amount of work that you must put into this is insane, but my Christ do you deliver masterpiece after masterpiece. This stuff is nothing short of storytelling that's worthy of awards, if the unfiction/arg community had such things to give lol.
Sorry for rambling! I've shared this series with some of my friends and hope to see more of your craft in the future. Thank you so much for making something special and showing it to us. ❤
15:45 Oh. OH.
Same
Don't know if there's any correlation with whatever's going on in this project, but March 22, 1997 is also the exact day the Hale-Bopp comet was observed at its closest to Earth.
There's probably some additional layer of symbolism that we've yet to uncover.
17:52 > There's a comet next to Moloch-Baal robot, right in the sky. 😮
Also (a little edit after i watched it) holy moly that "sacrifice" part of the video gave me actual chills
the audio work in this series is so consistently incredible its amazing
Such a beautifully made series. Can’t imagine how much effort it takes to create something like this, I’ve enjoyed every second. Thank you so much.
It’s not only helped me practice my Spanish, but taught me to keep my eyes open for any bit of info possible (like the Worm Odyssey reference… I saw Zach there and started to die from laughter)
But seriously… thank you so so much for all of this! It’s been incredible.
I’m a little late , but oh WOW. I love how you put so much thought and effort into every detail in this series, I’ve even written down notes for Valle Verde, haha. Keep up the excellent work!
19:11
WORM ODYSSEY IS REEEEAAAAL!!!!! Very cool reference, Alluvium
This is quite possibly one of the best online horror/mystery series ever created. Your work continues to impress me more and more every time a new episode comes out!
Wow, just when I thought it couldnt get any better, you exceed my expectations once again! Great work man!
I love the inclusion of various ps1 game elements and sounds - Silent Hill, Crash Bandicoot, Tomb Raider
IN A WORD OF SLOP, THE KING RETURNED. this is beautiful thank you so much for continuing this series
I never get tired of this series!
Also, the fact that they summoned the Moldoch deity at 3:33 in the morning is wild.
@@Indi_51 Oh, don't I know it. I used to be a semi-professional dancer. It really is gross how little "making it" has to do with talent.
Of all the incredible aspects of this series, I was NOT expecting some alternate universe dragon ball z game, complete with a guest appearance from Kami's lookout. Makes me think of the pile of PS2 DBZ games I collected over the years....
I loved the detail of the Witch trying to select the player like he was another RTS unit
Same, got a laugh from me that spooked my cats 😅
There are not many RUclips channels I look forward to watching anymore because unlike back in the day there aren't that many that are consistent but whenever I see an upload from this channel I get really excited so I can't wait to see this. Keep up the great work
The concept is great, but the execution was incredible! (ba dum tish)
REALLY cool project all around.
This series is absolutely stunning work. Loving every episode. And the music/sound is killer!
It astounds me how you are able to top the already impressive previous entries with each new part to this series. These three episodes contain more "wow" factor than entire completed web horror series!
No creo tener palabras en el diccionario para describir la admiración y fascinación que siento por esta serie. Bravo.
Bro, you are just a phenomenal artist! The production value is absolutely off the charts... Keep it up!
Genuinely this is the most beautiful and amazing series of ps1 horror I've ever seen in my life like seriously from the story the different art styles and everything in this piece of media is soo spectacular im lost for words tbh man this is so good😭❤❤
19:11
OMFG Y’ALL GOT WORM ODYSSEY IN THERE?? THAT WAS THE FIRST GAME TO USE THE RUMBLE FEATURE!!!
The clock at the end reminds me of the doomsday clock - the countdown to nuclear winter we've been stuck at almost midnight for some time.😮
Anyway the sound design and animation were incredible!
We're all happy to wait! It's worth it!
For everyone who read these wild guesses, thanks!
This was a lot of fun to read!
@@derpkipper thanks! It's weird, I made a long edit that I got it wrong about the monument title names, but it's not up.
Just thought of Valle Verde randomly today. Seeing a new upload was pleasantly surprising.
What so incredible about this is there isn’t a fear of some immediate threat that could attack you. It’s more of a pure shock of what’s happening and how little sense it makes.
what an excellent display of talent. i cant imagine all the hours of learning, work, frustration and dedication that culminated in this masterpiece of a series. you've truly created something special. take pride in it.
gonna watch, then gonna watch every single documentary video on it, this might be my fav arg yet
The best project of this type on the platform. Thanks for playing the Christian thematic straight. It's so refreshing. Good is good and evil is evil. It's so high concept in general. Great work
Es fascinante la dedicación puesta en este ARG, la espera valió totalmente la pena y ahora estoy más intrigado que nunca, sigan así!
I really like the fact that the “compass” is the cross, showing the viewer that Christ will be you guide.
I also like how when the jumping demon tries to get the player, he smacks it with the cross, and it ceases existence
The mark that appears on the ground from the holy rosary/compass is also the medal of Saint Benedict, a Catholic sacramental that has exorcistic use.
The witch looked like a Smiling Friends character, lol
I'm glad that you said that, it was designed as one hahahaha, I modeled that a couple of years back for a mini fake PS1 Smiling Friends animation (That I never made) as the villain, and then I realized that it was the perfect design for the Morfelius character
@@-Alluvium- too cool
@@-Alluvium- The amount of little references in this video is so charming.
I don't know what Smiling Friends is, i just thought she looked like the Wicked Witch of the West.
Hehe meanwhile the way the witch "Speaks" gave me flashbacks to Gruntilda in Banjo Kazooie
I can't properly express my awe at how beautiful this looks. Your work is an inspiration and a joy to witness, thank you so much for your hard work.
1:19 oh man the music here sent me straight back to a level in Bomberman 64.... and the flourishes of the lil robotic noises! ❤
This is the highest production value arg I've ever seen
Genuinely one of the most challenging & engrossing art projects on RUclips, to just call it a "creepypasta" of "ARG" would be really selling this series short. Really hope you release the music to this at some point, I love it.
Oh man! Beautifully done!!
Love the throwbacks to Crash Bandicoot with the crates and the Ripper Roo voice from CTR
Never have I been so interested in a game that can't even exist.
Absolutely loved the Buenos Aires Destruction segment. Gave me heavy Shin Ultraman and Godzilla vibes which I think you were going for, if so yet another strong christian link involving Tsubaraya. Keep on making gold Alluvium!
