Oh Jeri! This screams SUMMER TIME ! You have made me so very happy on this video! You are so blessed to have a peach tree, I LOVE PEACHES, AND LOVE WHEN YOU COOK! , They look fantastic and I could just taste that cobbler. And ! I LOVE CORN CHOWDER 😊. And nothing goes better with it then corn bread that
I make often. If you like cornbread, I have a very tasty and fast recipe and I’ll include it here below. I’ll be freezing the sweet corn up here when it’s in and making that corn chowder. you did a fantastic job baking and cooking ! Thanks for a great video and I hope your zinnias are popping up…. God Bless! Brian
    BRIAN’S SOUTHERN CORNBREAD
    Sift
    1 cup flour
    3/4 cup sugar
    Sift
    1 cup Cornmeal
    2 Tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
Now mix all dry ingredients together with a fork
Add one large egg room temperature
Use hand mixer to mix by slowly adding 1- 1/4 cup of whole milk in three parts as you’re mixing it.
Then add 3 tablespoons of melted butter and mix very well and let’s stand 10 minutes before you put it in the oven.
Spray grease your pan set oven at 400° bake for 28 minutes

I always thinned my peaches when they were just forming ... I pulled every peach that was deformed or dimpled because they wouldn't develop anyway and they would drop and be messy also take nutrients away from the tree ...I only allowed peaches to develop about every six inches ...two to each side of branch and then they grew much bigger. but, if you're happy with them just leave them alone...Peach trees are just messy but gloriously delicious.....smile.....I've owned many peach trees in Georgia. the mrs.

I tried that method last year, thinning every 6". This year I saw that the tree was thinning itself out, everyday. I had fallen peaches everywhere!

  • @michellecjackson4956
    @michellecjackson4956 Год назад +10

I'm in California and our peach tree, in fact all our trees, have put on a huge growth spurt this year. I try to thin out the peaches to 6" apart, but I can't reach them all, even with a ladder, because the tree is leaning in to the neighbor's yard. It has been said that you prune in winter to shape the structure, and prune in summer, after fruiting is done, to limit growth. Our tree will definitely have to be trimmed back, because, like yours, it is laying out, splaying out and needs to start growing upright again.

Definitely be jotting down these recipes and trying them out. Your table setting looked absolutely lovely. It's very inspiring the extra mile you go to make a meal setting look so inviting. In my younger years it was something I totally enjoyed doing. I've gotten lazy about it these days and these types of videos remind how much I use to enjoy dressing a meal table. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

I’ve never grown peaches, you lucky lady, but in apples, to have those gorgeous #1 size, you must thin out the fruit when they are small. But how could anyone thin out a peach tree that loaded??? I’ll take quantity over size any day!😉 My mouth just waters when you cook! This past week, I made a wild red raspberry roll with raspberries I found growing…wait for it…on the bank in our Pizza Hut parking lot! My husband had a plastic bag and it was a quarter the way full of delicious berries! It’s a blessing to have such wonderful fresh fruit this time of year! 🥰🍑

You said LAST summer that you got peaches from this tree after purchasing it not long before. It was a special variety grafted onto a more mature rooted stock. Can you tell me what the variety is and from what company you purchased it! I would love to give it a try! Simply an amazjing volume of fruit!!!

Actually I said it was supposed to be a dwarf peach tree but they must've sent the wrong tree because this tree isn't a dwarf! mystery tree.....

I can’t seem to find organic corn on the cob for several years so I haven’t had fresh corn I miss it.Monsanto has a monopoly on all the farms I drive in the country and now farms have signs up promoting their chemicals when the evidence proves glyphosate causes disease. And now Target is promoting their Natural Flavors (not natural at all) why do we need flavor enhancements if it’s whole food? Love your recipes!!

I planted my corn from seed, Baker Creek to be exact. If you have a small piece of ground you can plant your own crop, it is really easy to grow. You can freeze all the extra.
