Unfortunately, we are demanded to be patriotic to a nation that allows us to suffer. People cannot afford their groceries or medical bills and are taxed beyond reason...I refuse to be patriotic to an abusive nation that cares nothing for me.

The pie looks amazing. My father at 17 fought in WW1. My Grandparents were Pioneers into Rhodesia, Central Africa in 1894. The photos in the book you were showing, with the ox wagons that transported the Travelers to their promised land, were very similar to the way my grandparents travelled. What amazing, brave people they were.

Jeri ! You are absolutely amazing and everything you do is beautiful and you are a wealth of knowledge as I always learn something from your videos. What a beautiful tribute to America at the 4th of July. I love when you do the cooking videos as you always do a fantastic job and surprisingly I just made a blueberry tart for the 4th for my mother. She loves them so much and it’s an old fashion recipe that was handed down from generations made with almost like a cookie dough in a cookie sheet pan and then I toped it with cut out stars. I’ll have to send it to you …. Thank you once again for all your hard work in putting out Great content ! Brian…

Jeri, I just found your videos two days ago & I’ve been watching them one after the other! I feel like a starving person who has been led to the most scrumptious, bottomless banquet to savor one bite at a time. You have come at a time when I was being encouraged to walk away from my much-loved home, treasures, collections, & gardens. Yet after seeing how much you are able to comfort others with your love of history & incredible displays of beauty, books, & whimsy, I find myself having reason to reconsider leaving my cabin in the woods.
I have a couple of practical questions for you. 1) How do you keep mice out of your outdoor planting areas? Mine get infested. 😫
2)Do you have grandchildren? How do teach them to treat your collections & displays gently? (Short of putting everything away or out of reach when they visit.) I have 5 grandsons with one more on the way. Four visit overnight twice a month.
Thank you for your delightful videos that feed us all!

    • @JeriLandersofHopalongHollow

Hello Margie, nice to meet you and happy that you are being inspired by the episodes! I am glad you are not leaving a home you seem to love. To keep mice away, plant peppermint, I know can be invasive, but it you plant in pots and disperse them among the plants you won't have a field of mint. Mice don't like the smell of it. I have only one grandchild, unfortunately, and he lives on the other side of the country and I don't have the pleasure of sharing old things with him, and teaching him how to handle them.

Elmiri is a lovely lady, and yes, I know she is South African. Is that where you live too?

Nope. Unfortunately, I live in the Ozarks. I was raised in Boulder County andy sister who sounded just like you taught accelerated students in Manitou Springs.
I never had a clue South Africa was so lovely. The skyscapes are breathtaking, and she captures them perfectly

Hi Jeri! I love your patience with those ginger snaps. Soothing to watch. I use a rubber mallet because I figured it was the best way to both get the crust pulverized and get an adrenaline rush all in one. I may have to try a more Jeri way.

Hi Jeri,. Just recently found your utube videos and they're mesmerizing. I'm retired and live in southwest VA not far from you. I've had peacocks in the past and loved them. Was sorry to hear that your old fellow died. Would love to have them again but my neighbors are too close now. I do however have 3 bared rock hens, an outside aviary with white ringneck doves. Inside I have a canary and diamond doves. Also a golden retriever named Katie. Enjoy watching all of your videos. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow no I've just screened in under the porch on my cabin. I'm wanting a dovecote to replace an old bird feeder in the yard. I watched the construction of your greenhouse with the old windows. You did a wonderful job. Keep warm
