off topic but rubys hair looks sooo nice in this video
ikr!
Yes! She has the most beautiful hair!!
Yess
Agree! I noticed this too. 🙂
She looks oldet too, right? Like 25+
I think it would be great to see how a birthday party was, for different ages and maybe around Christmas you could do how they spent Christmas Day
Oh yes! So interesting!!!
Yas!!!
I'd be down for that. There's a historic farm in my state that does tours of the grounds and old home as well as various events through the year, they talk about Victorian era Christmas tradions in December on the weekends and dress up in 1870's style cloths. It happens late in the evening so guest get hot cocoa and there's live music and stuff.
@@RubyGranger8 Yes, that would be very interesting.
Mom is going to be 92 & I 71 we love tea parties thank you so much for the time you put into this for us Have a lovely up & coming week
That's so cute ! 🥺
I love how Ruby's videos bring so many generations together ^^
Can you make a series- "afternoon tea with ruby" where you could discuss about many things... that would be so fun to watch I think ..
Yes!! I would watch this!!
I would adore this!!! It would be wonderful if they were both pre-recorded and live streams!!!
Amazing idea! Hope Ruby will like it too.
yess please! I love this idea💕
Yes please
Just for Ruby:
"A man in Victorian clothes just appeared out of thin air and handed me a fistful of herbs.
I think he might be a Thyme traveller."
Oh my gosh I just had a vision of you in the future presenting historical documentaries on the victorian period. Walking through the country side and little villages and talking to the camera about all sorts of topics.
PS: Your hair looks amazing, this style looks absolutely beautiful on you!
I DID TOO OMG
I thought so too!!!!
I thought so too the new Lucy Worsley but better

As a person who has been watching your videos for more than 4 years, I must say that this is so far the best video that you've made. I can really see your passion, the fact that you incorporate a lot of history education (and you give us sources) is amazing.
Ruby is the main character and we are just living in her world. loved this video so much ruby , if my friends started asking me why I am suddenly inviting everyone to drink together I am just gonna show this video to them.
the way your family participates in your videos warms my heart 💌
I love to see the path that this channel has taken over the years! so glad to see you making videos on topics you love :) xx
LOVE that writing block! We have one similar in our family, somewhere, that's been passed down the generations.
Your videos are always so calming to watch
Ruby, I can just see how much work you put into this video and how excited about it you were! It’s so delightful, bravo!
That was super interesting to watch! As someone who still regularly attends and host tea parties because it’s part of my culture (I’m a Sephardic French jew! Tea parties are a shabbos afternoon activity) it was very interesting to compare how Victorians did it VS how we do it. I’ll probably borrow some of these Victorian recipes for next Saturday!
This is such a lovely (and interesting) video! I really appreciate the effort you put into it 💖
This video is so aesthetically pleasing to watch and very interesting, as usual. Thanks for sharing Ruby :)

I absolutely love these Victorian videos and appreciate so much the effort, dedication and passion you put in to them! I have always been very fascinated by the Victorian and Edwardian periods and these videos are just so informative and lovely to watch! ❤❤❤
Ruby, you are glowing with authenticity! i love your videos
Loved this video - thank you for letting us appreciate the fine art and adorable quaintness of Victorian Afternoon Tea with you!
Fun fact: the concept of tea (or cha) actually originated in Ancient China, and was only brought to the UK during the mid-17th Century. It is both fascinating and rather amusing to think of how synonymous tea has become with English culture, since its roots are really not very English at all! Even so, it has become an absolute staple in our lives here in the UK, as well as in so many amazing cultures across the globe. I myself am an avid chai enthusiast, and would highly recommend that everyone should try authentically-brewed karak chai at least once in their lives!
I absolutely LOVED this video, all the information packed into it, and it definitely made me want to host a tea party like this! I wouldn't even mind seeing other takes on this traditional tea party in the future!
This is fabulous!!! Thank you for working so hard on this video

This is what I’m doing today for my husband and children. I’ve done it before years ago and have really missed. Jam was made yesterday and Scones have just come out of the oven and I’m about to make Victoria sponge (like my mum used to make so a bit different to the traditional cake). Your video has helped loads with preparations ❤️
This was so lovely to watch! So well-researched and interesting to learn about. Also, can we take a moment to appreciate your navy turtleneck, pearls, and wavy hair--so beautiful 💕
