Preparing for summertime at new homestead

After what seems like forever (one year) we finally finish grading the yard good enough to plant some grass seed. Now we don't have to look at so much dirt and mud anymore and we are beyond excited.

@@Grazing-M-Acresthat’s actually really good and cool cause black walnut is very expensive wood so if it dose ever come down u could sell the wood for good money it also probably increases the value of land

I am a gardener. and my professional opinionis straw carpet with plastic or is it a naturally degradable material. ?
Spraying straw on grass is a total waste of money and time for me. You can also just cover the grass seed with a small layer of dirt.

The "plastic" material naturally degrades over time. I've always had better success with covering it with straw.
