    It’s really cold here (in Texas so take that for what you will LOL) so I’m rewatching your Yard Geek videos. I love seeing a blank space transformed into something like this. Great job!
    Edited to add: any time you run sprinkler lines, label each valve at the valve box with a tag or tape or whatever will hold up in the elements. Future you (and future owners) will really appreciate it.

    It sure don't seem like 4 years! I remember when you said you had a big surprise in store for all your viewers. Gosh, doesnt time absolutely fly !!! I must say that you've done so well thus far. Don't give up! Your own little piece of country will be so valuable in the way of flora and fauna, trees, ... the list is endless. I'm so proud of you and happy for you, to have your dreams come to fruition ( some of mine were stopped due to hubby's health ). Best of luck, Mitch. Keep on keeping on. ❤❤❤

    Amazing work Mitch 🌳🌳🌳 And remember - "weeds" are just plants that naturally thrive in your area. Many of them will bloom and create structure and diversity to your view. My best tip is don't fight them, but guide them or overpower them. Meaning leave some zones wild, and others more controlled. And plant things that overpower or overshadow weeds in select zones. Less to manage, and makes for a more exciting landscape 🌼

  • @joelbuchanan471
    @joelbuchanan471 8 месяцев назад +3

    Oh that was so fascinating. I LOVE how you explain why you're doing things and how they fit into your plans for this property. So if I understand it correctly, there is both an electric line that goes to these junction boxes as well. Are they controlled by that electric connection to then the main controller in the studio? And the water lines converge in the box so they can distribute water to individual planted areas. This is very cool. Must be comparable to how they do the irrigated lawns that rich people have for lawns. What we used to call a "sprinkler system". At the end I was chanting "throw the switch, turn that baby on". But I know you still have a bit to do there. Great update Mitch. This was so much fun. Truly a crowning achievement when this project is done. Have a great weekend! Thanks for this! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

      Yep exactly! The main controller will open up each of the valves to water each tree line! It’s also got wifi so I can schedule and control everything from my phone 😎 Can’t wait to see how many leaks I have though when I turn it on 🤣🤣🤣 Have a great weekend Joel!!

    All I have to say is I wish I could do something like this in my yard...this is going to be amazing once all the work is done and the trees grow.
    When I was 5, my grandma and I planted mugo pines all around our yard to act as a privacy wall and bird habitat. We also planted some blue spruce and lilacs and some other flowering bushes. Now that I'm an adult, my trees are 20 feet tall for the mugo pines, my blue spruce are 30+ feet tall; and with the lilacs and other flowering bushes it's a haven for bees, birds, rabbits, and I've even seen bobcat and foxes in my yard. It's sooooo cool!!!

    My third time watching this yard geek video. I like to watch them multiple times since I can imagine how much work goes into these videos. Setting up shots and cameras, moving the cameras dozens of times, filming, editing, then voiceover so it all makes sense and is clear. I am curious as to how many if any of the joins do actually leak. I am thinking that not many since you seem to be very careful. Love that you got 2 new toys and like any man, you have to try them right away to see how they work. I wouldn't have been able to resist either. Amazing work ethic and superb results. I really like the choker you're wearing at the end with the conversation. Is that from Hawaii? Or California? Have a great day, Thanks for all you do Mitch!! 💜💜💜💜

    Mitch, you’re a beast for such a young kid your channels filming editing plus all the work you’re doing is amazing. My question is you don’t have to have the irrigation pipe down farther into the ground for freezing.? I’m in California so we never have to worry about it but I thought you had to go a certain amount of inches just asking other than that amazing your property your shop everything you’re doing you’re incredible young man and I bought a lot of product and I’ve started my Golf Cart patio furniture and once in a while, car detailing just for fun make extra money cash not really a business
